I was called back by Amazon customer support. They canceled the order and raised the issue to the appropriate team to investigate.4 points

3 Orders from LEGO LEGO Shop at Home to get the double promos, and I finally cleared out the last remaining BIONICLE sets (in decent condition, I left a few battered ones) from my local independent toy store for 15% under RRP . These have been a great find for me in the last months, they previously also had multiples of Tahu and the Kopaka & Melum Unity set, all still for under retail3 points

My 2 cents which arent worth much - Silent Mary...well..it's selling below RRP on ebay. At least 25 to 50 bucks below. On Amazon..has a pretty high sales rank at the 199 price which means it's not flying off the shelves. If you can get at a real good discount may be worth getting some..if not, probably other sets worth looking into. Things become a lot clearer towards the end of the year as to what will retire as you probably know. Saturns..hoarded like crazy last year. Will be hoarded again this year as it retires. Will be a good seller after EOL...how fast the price will climb with so many sellers is another story. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Brickpicker Forum mobile app2 points

I think you take it wrong. You should always give just on your instincts and how you feel about the certain set. Each of us have different experiences and what you read (all) about here is just stories and experiences of other investors/resellers.. who previously got burned by a wrong pick or had a nesty conflict with some buyer / refund etc.. its just sharing a common experiences not stating "if you do not follow the main stream - you are a dead man".. there are always some surprising sets, even though its much more often the overlooked, cheaper sets than your Ghostbusters. at the end, its your money and you put them into something. and if that doesnt pay off at the end, you could hardly put the blame on all of the BP comments just because "they told you so..". maybe you would feel better for a while but thats about it. Money would be still gone. its like you would be getting in a sports bidding and asking seasoned ppl around "which team should I put my money on..?:" .. and expecting some sincere advice what pays off..2 points

As the lights went down I literally said, "Ok, does everyone have their low expectations on?" Over all we enjoyed it too. Lando's droid was the most annoying and unnecessary part of the movie. Could have easily replaced it with tools and made it part of the ship right off the bat.2 points

"In a recent interview with IndieWire for “Where Is Kyra?,” Young talked about how his increasingly dark images are partially an artistic response to the dark times facing the world today. He also discussed how digital cinematography has allowed him to take risks because of the ability to see in the on-set monitor exactly what he was getting in the lower end (or the “toe”) of the exposure." Ugh. Even cinematographers are overtly political nowadays. The movie looks like it was shot through a poop filter. Hard to make general audiences excited about something so crappy looking.2 points

If Han Solo doesn't sell, I can imagine Boba Fett being worse. No real character, just a few neat gadgets. Once the Rey movies are done, STAR WARS needs to go away for awhile.1 point

I had similar feelings about Lando's droid when she was first introduced in the movie, but when she was made a part of the ship, it hit me in the feels a bit. (Handing over my man card as I type.)1 point

Correction ...”nano figs” for scale that might fit into each lion...but yeah some detailed minifigs with a display stand would be just as Awsome...any way you slice it figs would be nice. I guess time will tell when this set is released.1 point

With the intensifying trade wars and import tax barriers, I only see the European Market as my competition. With Brexit coming up, I might even be protected from @TabbyBoy1 point

I have a lot of them & that ship has a great potential no later than in September 2019 when the Angry Birds sequel will be released. With a buy in of hardly 18€ a piece and a part out value of more than 100$ already I see these ships sailing for a really big profit.1 point

I would buy now, at this rate even single day passes will probably sell out in advance. 5 day passes are already sold out, but you can still buy single day passes. Plus, they are $10 more at the door...1 point

I really like this one... This and the coaster are my two favorite sets so far this year.1 point

Yes, I own it. I feel that 4.7 out of 3,000+ reviews is pretty good, and I would concur with most of the positive reviews. That pump is listed at 450 L/min which is about 16 CFM this blower is listed at 70 CFM. With the price of compressed air, the thing is easily worth the money. I think you can snag it a few bucks cheaper over on Newegg, plus no tax for my. I would still say that compressed air has the advantage in some tight crevices with stuck on dirt, but I was much more judicious with my use of compressed air, which probably allowed for some dust buildup. I use this thing way more often and stay on top of the dirt easier since I don't feel like I'm paying to use the compressed air. It's handy for all sorts of cleaning jobs, not just Lego dusting, I blew out the bug zapper the other day.1 point

thats why you get 5000 and have the shipping container dropped off at your pier. think big or go home.1 point

Go for the Old Fishing Store. I wouldn't touch the touch the Silent Mary if my life depended on it. You should be able to get OFS for 30% off if you know what you're doing. Buy 500 of them now & you'll at least have $25k profit this time next year.1 point

This is a must-watch interview for Star Wars Lego fans. They discuss what happens when sets and characters get cut from the films, the commercial failure of AoH, the budget constraints to make the UCS Falcon and of course all the remakes. Fascinating and honest insight. Seems we ARE getting an ISD.1 point

Maul got added to Brickset. I personally like the SW Buildable line and hate to see it go but would understand if it did. With the concentration on Brickheadz, SWBF's are dead in the water. However, if they do cancel the droids, that would truly be a shame, as the General needs some Clone era droid counterparts and I bet they would look fantastic. Edit.....yeah they're done for1 point

Yes.. given the Disney Castle and Ghostbusters.. how many ppl you think would be so freaked out to happily purchase a 350-450 USD set?? Whoever wanted it - got it by now. Ghostbusters are kind of a sentiment piece for a generation that saw first two GB movies.. I doubt that nowadays teenagers give a damn about that movie in a sense that would truly like to have that. And what is your ideal scenario in a case that somebody truly would buy it? Would you get 20 % profit after fees? is that really worth that ?0 points
