You'll definitely want to go for something that goes EOL sooner. Keep in mind OFS is a Ideas theme & $200 set like SM dont have the same ROI as the used too. I'm sitting on a couple dozen Simpsons house & if I had to do it all over again I would've picked up more architecture sets that went eol over the last 2 years. I'm done with $200 sets.5 points

If anyone is interested it’s the IKEA IVAR shelving system. They have a 12” depth and a 20” depth and various shelf widths. This is 20” depth with 30” shelves. The vertical pieces and shelves are $10 each and the cross braces are $5 each. It’s unfinished solid pine. Really easy to put together. This setup was $260 total minus a $25 off coupon I got for joining their rewards program. I had planned on building a built-in shelving/cabinet across this 14’ wall but that’s not happening anytime soon and I needed to increase organization of my display and set storage.4 points

This is a must-watch interview for Star Wars Lego fans. They discuss what happens when sets and characters get cut from the films, the commercial failure of AoH, the budget constraints to make the UCS Falcon and of course all the remakes. Fascinating and honest insight. Seems we ARE getting an ISD.2 points

OFS was JUST released in September and is showing 0 signs of retirement. Silent Mary was released in April 2017, and is also showing 0 signs of retirement. I don't think either are "bad" investment choices, but there's a whole lot of stuff that will go sooner. I think you may be being trolled a bit.1 point

Hah, yep. I think they are going to have problems with these the same way as they did with the Porsche. The boxes they ship in are not sturdy enough. No it would not, but the whole lid of the box was creased at the top and dented on the bottom. For $350 I want something better.1 point

Yep ... seller account disabled, got notified an hour ago. "We had to remove this listing from the site and you're not required to complete the transaction. If you've already sent payment, the sale should process as normal and you don't have anything to worry about. If you have any questions about delivery, please check tracking or contact your seller. If you run into any trouble along the way eBay is here to help. Please visit the Resolution Center to help resolve any problems you may encounter. This user is no longer registered on eBay." Gave EBay a call, they've refunded the purchase cost and gave me a coupon for the value of the 20% coupon I used. Phew.1 point

Sold a LEGO Friends Heartlake Grand Hotel 41101 - damaged box. $168 Ebay. Maybe listed to low since it sold 5 minutes after listing. Sold to a drop shipper --> Portland (Buyer is from China). Grand hHotel was my first real investment purchase. I bought 5 at 64 bucks. Flipped the first 4 for around 100-130. Thought I'd keep one to build. But saw what it was going for. As Phil said it is so much easier to buy than figure out a way to sell. 2 years in - I think I've figured out what lego I like collecting.1 point

Yes, I own it. I feel that 4.7 out of 3,000+ reviews is pretty good, and I would concur with most of the positive reviews. That pump is listed at 450 L/min which is about 16 CFM this blower is listed at 70 CFM. With the price of compressed air, the thing is easily worth the money. I think you can snag it a few bucks cheaper over on Newegg, plus no tax for my. I would still say that compressed air has the advantage in some tight crevices with stuck on dirt, but I was much more judicious with my use of compressed air, which probably allowed for some dust buildup. I use this thing way more often and stay on top of the dirt easier since I don't feel like I'm paying to use the compressed air. It's handy for all sorts of cleaning jobs, not just Lego dusting, I blew out the bug zapper the other day.1 point

Go for the Old Fishing Store. I wouldn't touch the touch the Silent Mary if my life depended on it. You should be able to get OFS for 30% off if you know what you're doing. Buy 500 of them now & you'll at least have $25k profit this time next year.1 point

5 day passes will sell out at some point between now and then and some of the individual days might as well. It is also cheaper to buy now vs in person and better than waiting in additional lines.1 point

Im not sure if that is the crease (in the middle of the bottom edge at the top picture). but if it is.. I would certainly request immediate replacement for such money..1 point

Got my ticket today, but the infamous VIP badge still eludes me. Hopefully someday, but I had to wait a few minutes in the queue. Hotel rooms were a mess this time and availability was sporadic and the queue was very unpredictable. I was in the queue a good 10 minutes on 2 computers before my friend tried and he got right in. With some painstaking refreshing and playing with the dates, I was finally able to secure a room close to McCormick Place.1 point
