  1. This is just beyond amazing. This trailer just ticked all of my expectations boxes. + main antagonist as a Lego Friends minifigure which majority of AFOLS hates and still considering as no "kosher" part of the LEGO lineup. - pefrect. I'm so pumped to see this next year. just give me Lando and his "where did you get that sweet space cape brother" and I'm going all-in.

  3. This looks great. I'm digging the whole Mad Max vibe at the beginning. Should lead to some pretty cool sets...

  4. I’m going to throw out a theory/hope - our characters will get transformed (temporarily) during the film into minidolls.

  6. Got my ticket today, but the infamous VIP badge still eludes me. Hopefully someday, but I had to wait a few minutes in the queue. Hotel rooms were a mess this time and availability was sporadic and the queue was very unpredictable. I was in the queue a good 10 minutes on 2 computers before my friend tried and he got right in. With some painstaking refreshing and playing with the dates, I was finally able to secure a room close to McCormick Place.

  7. Grabbed 10260 Downtown Diner off of Facebook Marketplace for $100. It was partially built, but complete. Works for me. Also grabbed 40291 Creative Personalities at LLCA (thanks @DadsAFOL for the tip), along with 30406 Unikitty Roller Coaster Wagon polybag.

  8. It will be cool if they stick with the more retro G1 look for once.

  10. Just watched the trailer, and I like what I see so far. I really loved the original. Then I watched The Lego Batman Movie and I was not as excited about it because of how my expectations got set by the first movie. Then I watched The Lego Ninjago movie and I was somewhat irritated with that movie and felt the "Lego Movie" concept was dead. However, this sequel to the original looks nice because there's enough familiarity with the characters to tie back to the original but there's newness to the story and plenty of opportunity for cool sets that will pair with the release. I'm also glad that the music selection has changed from Taylor Swift "Bad Blood" junk to Beastie Boys "Intergalactic". That right there was enough to feel like we were back on track. The alien minifigure will be cool to have and I like the smooth designs of its ship. I'm in!

  14. I'd imagine the son has gotten older and has built a bunch of sweet wasteland cyborg stuff while the daughter has taken all the characters to her room. Sent from my SM-G930V using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

  15. What's with the post-apolayptic setting? Did Will Ferrel and his kids watch Mad Max movies after the events in LEGO Movie ???

  16. That trailer has totally kicked me out of my movie blues. I love how the mini doll has to hop. Here's hoping for an apocalypse Statue of Liberty. That would be a cool line of sets.

  20. Friends confirmed. Minidolls it is. This will be interesting for sure. I lived the first movie so this one might be the same. I imagine this might be the first them to include a mix of minifigures and minidolls in the same set. Sent from my VS995 using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

  22. I moved 1000+ lego boxes a year ago. 1/4 of the moving truck was filled with 100+ Packing boxes, 1/4 was for my furniture. I measured lego boxes and went to ULINE to buy matching size packing boxes. I stacked multiple lego boxes into one packing box and put another packing box upside down to pack. For example, big sets like 10234, I used two 24 x 20 x 8 inches packing boxes, put in three 10234 standing up side by side, the depth of the 10234 is 6.75 inches, three of them added up about 20 inches, the length of the 10234 is 23 (~24 inches). Then put another 24 x 20 x 8 packing box upside down covering up and tape the two packing boxes at the joining point. It applies to all other lego sets but mainly for larger sets. It did take quite a bit time and work to pack 1000+ lego sets. But the movers loved it because most of the packing boxes were the same or similar size. It did not waste the space inside the moving truck. The damage to 1000+ lego during the transit was nil and so were all the packing boxes. I then reuse those packing boxes for packing the set being sold because of the right size. However, I did feel sorry for the movers when they had to carry all the packing boxes to the second floor of the new location. All packing boxes were bulky and heavy.

  23. I just picked up 10019 UCS Blockade Runner for $150 (no instructions or box). I’ve wanted this one for years but it is always super expensive. It looks like most of it is here. I’ll report back!

  26. On eBay. Seller accepted the offer of $500 shipped. Seller didn't realize their incredibly vague title of "Multiple Lego Sets" was why the listing had zero interest. All instructions included. Boxes included outside of the SSD. I figure I can flip the other 4 sets and make this a very reasonably priced SSD.

  30. Essex has about 2/3 of the Amazon facilities liquidation. (the contracts are bid on yearly). They have to take all the amazon returns and fc overstocks from all those facilities. Bargain Hunt is their retail stores. They also have a wholesale Dept where they sell out to other people like myself. That particular item was taken in to their floor load processing facility outside Nashville and then processed. They then put out on loads that have the smaller bar code sticker with the load it came from. Usually numbered and AF for amazon floor load. Floor loads refer to the way they are shipped from the amazon return facility to them. Basically is a hand stacked 53' trailer top to bottom. You can also buy the processed stuff they don't want which is what that set came from originally. The store tags are slightly different and have different information. That's about 46 pallets of that type merchandise from a load from them
