  1. Not sure of your experience level of selling on eBay and this is just my opinion (I repeat this is just my opinion), but you really need to change a few things to your listing to sell this item. You may sell it the way your ad is, but you should have a lot more then 4 pictures on your listing. Ebay allow up to 12 pictures to be added for free. Having close ups of the seals and pictures from different angles to show the actual condition of the item would help reassure someone that is debating whether or not they trust you enough to spend $1600. In your description you state about the two imperfections which is great, but you cut off one of them in the picture you took. The more pictures you post will allow the buyer to feel like you actually own the item instead of finding some random pictures online and posting them as your own. It feels like you are trying to hid something in my opinion which you may not be. Explaining how you are going to ship it and even adding pictures of how it will be packaged would be another key factor if I would spend $1600. Waiting until someone buys it, then running around trying to find a box it will fit in is a mistake. Shipping items this big is not something that should be rush and can be the difference between you keeping the money from the sale. Stating “No Returns” means nothing since eBay’s Money Back Guarantee allows any buyer to get their money back with the click of a button. Not accepting returns may help scare grandma into accepting an item that has been damaged, but that’s about it. You might as well change your policy and state the buyer has to pay return shipping and refund will be processed when you receive and examine it. Even then you may only get an empty box back. Brickpicker has tons of information about selling on eBay. Like I said before this is just my opinion. One last piece of advice from someone who sells on eBay regularly, I would never list this set on eBay. I don’t know the going price for this set, but whatever it is I would recommend slashing your price around 25% and doing a cash sale in person. Piece of mind that someone can’t do a chargeback is worth a couple hundred dollars personally. Plus you won’t have to deal with fees and shipping.

  3. The actual car looks atrocious, so there was only so much Lego could do here. Looks spot on, to be honest.

  4. As of today, April 7th 2018, the original Space theme by LEGO hits the four Earthen decades mark. For many it was what brought us into the building block fold with their band of galactic explorers. Although the theme has not truly been continued in any official capacity outside of a few nods and promos, the classic legacy treks ever onward through the fans' creations with what is generally called as Neo Space. You can find a number of such various MOCs in the thread linked for all the classic Space teams. Classic Space @ 40 by justin_m_winn

  5. I'm telling you; UCS Porg on a rotisserie! Now that would be something to set on a desk. Motorize it and everyone who enters your office will laugh for hours. You could set it to a timer with the updated speed functions so it stops rotating when it's time to go home. Or maybe it begins when it's time to go to lunch. Think of the possibilities...

  7. A Porg "UCS" set would be an embarrassment. Just sayin'...

  8. The Porg "UCS" set has leaked....and it looks like the source material. Not sure I would call it a UCS set. It's more in line with the Creator sets where you build a dog or parrot.

  9. Thanks for the advice. I'll see about revising the listing. I certainly don't want to appear to be hiding something. I would love to do an in person sale, but seems that would limit my customer base. Plus gettng somewhere in the DC metro area can be extremely time consuming even if it's not all that far. It's a shame eBay has gotten so sketchy for assuring seamless transactions. I think it used to be better under the old feedback system. That had it's own issues as well, but at least you had some form of recourse if a sale went awry.

  12. Looks ok to me. Bugatti's are fugly anyways. I'm more disappointed in the choice of car. Viper, Ford GT, Ferrari, so many beautiful supercars out there and they go with the old & ugly Bugatti.

  13. I agree with you there, this seems like a Megabloks theme. I’m doubting Lego will make complex minifigures, but maybe some of the simpler characters. Lego is making way too many Brickheadz this year that I’m not sure if a line would do well. Buildable figures is what I think the path Lego should take with this theme.

  14. I personally agree. Even though MOC'ers can use techniques which are considered illegal, there is something wrong when MOC's look way better than TLG product. The Porsche which TLG did was IMO the best one available.

  15. Technically, eBay says a new item is unopened. If you put in the title that it was an open box or your pictures showed that it was open, you would have more of case. Buyers are notorious for not reading descriptions, so if it's important, put it in the title. You probably should accept the return. You could do the partial refund thing if you want, but some avoid that option as this guy might be trying to shake you down and if you refuse a partial refund, they may just accept the item.

  20. Sometimes it's nice when a set becomes only worth its build/play value and I can justify actually cutting seals to building one. After I fail my statistical mechanics exam tomorrow I'm gonna build a lego set for me, maybe the first since unexpected gathering broke on the scene.

  22. Creepy Geoffrey small set is making some good money right now. Makes me wish it wasn't so creepy and I stocked up more. I wouldn't have picked that for a money maker, so maybe that coupon will do the same.
