  1. I built the 70413 The Brick Bounty and it was a fun build that was not repetitive. The shark is missing (I bought set used on CL), is on order from BrickLink and roaming the high seas battling an alligator (in the background of the first picture) is not the same, unless you are sailing in the Florida Everglades or the Louisiana bayou. That imaginative play is beyond my scope and I am a completist. The sails really stand out and that is why I wanted this set. This set is a great alternative to the higher priced ships in the Pirate series, especially for those that got back into Lego a little late like I did and missed the 10210 Imperial Flagship, 6285 Black Seas Barracuda, and the 6243 Brickbeard’s Bounty. The minifigure selection is very good and I am a Pirate series fan! One minifigure is not in the photo, though I did have it (Pirate 4 - Vest and Anchor, Eyepatch ). The Pirate Captain almost looks like Captain Brickbeard, and in some ways looks even better. My only minor complaint with this set is it only comes with two cannons, not four – an easy mod and fix.

  5. And in typical TRU form right to the very end they say farewell by fat-fingering the math on the sales price. $119.99 - 15% = $101.99, not 109.99.

  20. Its a free resource for you to gather loads of information to make money from selling toys. At the same time learning to buy smart for your own collection and being aware of the bigger world. Building your portfolio in a tool would for your own use of the data. If you don't find that data useful, then don't do it. Not sure what you were expecting, since the values are averages anyway. I just get 20% or more for sets over what the brickfolio says. Its a general gauge of trends. I have maainatained a six figure portfolio for many years and its been extremely useful.

  31. I don't even try to see the bigger events. We hang out on the show floor, autograph hall, and smaller panels. Much more to see outside the events, rather than standing in line for a panel, photo op, or autograph. I still ran into JJ Abrams, Anthony Daniels, Dave Filoni, and Ashley Eckstein last time without even trying. We learned clear back during CIII that you avoid certain events, but many other goers have a different idea of fun. Something for everybody, for sure.
