  1. I think the only bottom line here is folks want to build and play.

  2. There was a biggest probably in history of LEGO SALE countrywise that puts BlackFriday deals in to the shelf of shame. Everything across the country was discounted by 40%. Every single Boxed set. I made a 4k eq of GBP combined purchases this morning from 2 different online retailers including multiple copies of UCS MF, Ninjago Docks, Mountain Cave, Assembly Square, Ninjago City, Y-Wings UCS, and so on... That was bold and unexpected... especially for a country such as Poland because it was central organized from LEGO side. all the stores online, retail and high street covered with this promo are here.(link below) All of them were "asked" by TLG to make a up to 40% discounts. Some of them went full throttle some of them limited the promo to just 30% which is still great for D2C sets. https://lc-www-live-s.legocdn.com/r/www/-/media/portal v2010/news/pl-pl/201805/may promo/lista sklepw promo1905updated.pdf?l.r2=-1128593094

  4. I think I read that wrong too, like the turnaround was so quick, you could slap a new label on what you just received. So, the actual best part is that you skipped work and never left the house for anything else.

  5. I agree with Ex. I’m not seeing any investment discussion right now. I don’t anyone has said they’re hording it already. I just see a lot of excitement to build and play.

  6. Did the same thing today. It's about 3/4 the floor space of the UCS MF and about three times taller. They had it setup with a motor which they triggered via remote. Very cool. Store manager told me LEGO is also adapting the boost to a Ninjago and a CITY set due out later this year. I asked about using mindstorms but there isn't any codding from LEGO for mindstorms. You'd have to do your own coding. They have several pre-coded sequences for the boost. You can program the boost to have the cars wait at the gate several seconds, then activate the motor. Motor runs until the cars are going down from the top. There are sounds effects for when the car is going up (like they're scared,) and for when they are going down (screaming and laughing). There is also music that plays. Makes me wonder if they're going to make sequences for the other rides. The store manager also said they were having problems running the boost programming on ipads right now. So if you can't find the coding, try using an iphone or droid to run it. It is a pretty sweet set. Thus far, although I've loved the amusement park sets, I've avoided getting them. But now... *Sigh* I'm not... sure.... I can... resist.......

  12. My first real magical points experience happened yesterday. $44 worth of toys for 91 cents. I noticed I had $20 in-store that was expiring yesterday. So I loaded the kids up and told them each to pick something. They each got an item that was $9.99. I grabbed two items that came out to $13.98. Two separate transactions, $0 spent. So I went back and grabbed a $10.99 LEGO set. She asked for 91 cents. I can’t explain what happened. I didn’t see any deal on my account to explain the second transaction. I think I had a $10 off $10 for the 3rd. Not complaining, not analyzing, just enjoying.

  13. Is the vote for quality of the movie or realism? Bc if it’s quality, you have Skulls way too high and all the others are wrong too. Raiders 10, Crusade 9.5, Doom 7, Skulls 2. And four of Doom’s points are for Short Round alone.

  18. March 30, 2018. This is a date that will forever be remembered. I can get a little emotional at times. As an adult, there are a few instances when I've shed a tear. I cried when my son was born. I cried again a year later when my daughter was born. I cried tears of joy when my beloved Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl 31 after three decades of mediocrity, and again when they won Super Bowl 45. The last time I cried was two years ago this April when my Mom passed away. March 30, 2018. Today is another day that I've sobbed like a baby. Upon waking up for work, I checked my phone like I always do. Waiting for me was a PayPal notification. A large one. I checked my Bricklink account, and it appears that some blessed soul has decided that they needed some Steam Rollers in their life. Yes, some Steam Rollers. All of them. 27 to be exact. Gone. Purchased by an unknown person. A risk taker. A gambler. A guardian angel, perhaps? I began this saga with over 50 of those Steam Rollers. I'd sell one here, one there through multiple platforms, slowly chipping away at that number. I whittled it down to 27. Now I have 0. They are gone. The purchase price was just a shade over $1k. I'll make a few bucks on each one after the usual fees and shipping, but that's not the point in this circumstance. The nightmare is finally over. March 30, 2018 is my Independance Day.
