Lego rang up as 10% for me too.... I was bummed and asked the cashier to review the email on my phone in case I missed something (I think that is the trick). That pretty much forced her to realize it didn't specifically say "excludes Lego" and therefore she pretty much had to honor it, so she manually gave me 20%. I then proceeded to pay for a bunch of Architecture with about (20) $10 GCs....???3 points

My first real magical points experience happened yesterday. $44 worth of toys for 91 cents. I noticed I had $20 in-store that was expiring yesterday. So I loaded the kids up and told them each to pick something. They each got an item that was $9.99. I grabbed two items that came out to $13.98. Two separate transactions, $0 spent. So I went back and grabbed a $10.99 LEGO set. She asked for 91 cents. I can’t explain what happened. I didn’t see any deal on my account to explain the second transaction. I think I had a $10 off $10 for the 3rd. Not complaining, not analyzing, just enjoying.3 points

With that markup you would think they would at least use a Batmobile design from one of the movies. Besides the logo, nothing says Batman to me.2 points

Pretty sure 3rd from the right isn't from Ninjago but actually from The Warriors.2 points

LEGO TLBM Sets are 30% off in store, so with this additional 20% that makes it 44% off, then add in the ubiquitous 10% off GCs on Raise.com, and you've got yourself 50% off. Up to you if that constitutes a deal though Also, if this is still a thing, the same combo gives you 28% off on a Saturn V, or an Old Fishing Store.2 points

I went to the local Lego Store in my area and was able to pick one up. The store manager said Lego is doing a better job this year with supply on new sets as compared to past releases.2 points

I dont know.. (how to put some voting system here).. but am i the only one who thinks that the 60051 design is sleek and much cooler than some "suburban" 60197? EVEN the box art of 60061 gives you much more feeling of having "something exclusive" .. the picture area depicting the train is much larger.. practically no borders.. stretching from side to side (so to speak). while the box art of 60197 gets you the fixed break / barrier with a totally stupid City header motive.. which just further diminishes the "exclusive feeling" of having something truly superb.. BIG.. . no you just get some ordinary set. 60051 set (design) 5 ***** 60197 set (design) 3 ***2 points

these look awesome. i assume these will still be released in the US w/ another store or Lego themselves. maybe it also depends who owns the warehouse where these items are physically located. since tru owes TLG a ton of money, lego might just sell these themselves or through another retailer w/ a nice sticker over the TRU logo.1 point

I moved the more general discussion, including speculation into this thread. So, you bring up a really good point. Obviously, we've had Back to the Future, and (upcoming) Ghostbusters. I liked the idea of reviewing the Dimensions IP list and also looked at the Ideas IP list, so here's a few that I think have a chance: Simpsons Doctor Who (The Doctor - especially the new 13th Doctor and a Dalek or Cyberman?) Scooby-Doo and Shaggy (yes please!) The LEGO Movie (when TLM2 gets here) Harley Quinn Teen Titans Go! Gremlins Goonies Powerpuff Girls Beetlejuice Voltron There are other IP that I didn't mention. I'm just throwing out a couple I wouldn't mind see, or that I think have a good shot.1 point

I think they look just fine. Don't forget these are the playsets, there is still a D2C Hogwarts in the pipeline which should be more of a display piece.1 point
