  2. Not essentially today but finally after months of planning, ordering multiple times from brick-link, buying from PaB walls in store, redesigning, restructuring, testing, balancing, rebuilding, destroying by accident... I was finally able to finish my extremely frustrating but fantastic project of mounting this extremely fragile but adorable baby on the wall. 75192 is mounted on a solid TV-Mount (plate) attached to the wall with custom extended 4 point weight distribution bolts to keep it well balanced across the mid-structure without putting to much pressure on single section of the chassis. With some extra changes to the weight and centre-balance I was able to give it little more angular aspect to get more "air" on the bottom. Clearance on the top to the wall is about 1.5cm and bottom 6.5cm. That clearance on top and bottom gave me a little more leeway in designing the schematics for lighting kit. After testing with number of different lighting setups I came up with this as a final design. I wanted to give it on the bottom an extra push of light for obvious reasons :) Lighting is fully programmable with already programmed by me ignition sequence - flashing white lights -> red quick ignition pulse -> blue light -> blue light fading in/out. whole thing is remote controlled. reference: https://youtu.be/jPEYpryMp2s?t=75 + custom made sockets (under bottom engine outlets on left and right) for 2x 10 000 mAh Powerbanks to juice the lighting kit because from very beginning I wanted to avoid the cable management situation and keep it as clean as possible. And here it is.. I'm proud but exhausted and tired with whole thing... hope you gonna like it

  4. A good looking little promo. Should pair well with the already released VIP promo polybag. Will fit nicely into a city. Pick a brick wall looks nicely done. Since it's not an expensive UCS set, we can assume that these are all printed tiles and not stickers. Any guesses on what the spending threshold will be on this one? I'm thinking $125

  5. Not sure if this is the right place to post, however I am not sure if there is a glitch or something I have been able to place multiple orders (10 so far) on LEGO items sold by either Sears or Kmart and using SYWR of 10.00 off on each order I placed separately... not sure if that’s normal or not it’s my first shopping sears.com & Kmart.com..... here is an example, so far I am up 15 orders... let me know if this Normal or am I fooling myself lol....

  8. I binge watched Cobra Kai (ie Karate Kid the series) over the weekend. This is how sequel/spin off should be done, WITH RESPECT. It is a great take on the characters 30 years after the movies, so we get to see old rivalries and new ones. Johnny and Daniel are not treated like some 2nd rate cameos, they are big parts of the show. Plus the show introduces new characters with personalities, whom audience can root for. Oh and the new characters are as diverse as they come, but the show does not beat over audience' heads with it The show also has several callbacks to the original movies, some are obvious and others not so much. Most are used to move the story forward. Is it perfect? No, but it is easier to overlook flaws when the show treats its characters and the audience with respect (unlike that other franchise from galaxy far far away ). Seriously, the new series can poke fun at the old movies (or even at itself), just do not poop on everyone's nostalgia. Ep 1 & 2 are free, the rest needs subscription but you can cancel in 30 days if you choose to

  9. The VIP polybag had stickers. i bought the UCS snowspeeder and it has 35 stickers. That's unacceptable! i bought my son a £4 duplo set. It had 6 bricks and two of those had detailed printing with one have printing on both sides. So if a £4 set can have 3 printed sides then there's no excuse to ever use stickers... the argument about the cost is BS.

  10. got this great lot for $200 today. the lady was selling her 17 yr old sons collection because “he doesn’t do lego anymore”. the architecture sets were listed by name in the ad, and it also said “lego biplane” and “lego train” it was hard to see in the pic, but i zoomed in and saw what appeared to be an emerald night, and i was right. she even gave me the tote!

  12. I've been following this topic since a while and thought about registering today to say you how much I appreciate your effort! I'm already a Eurobricks member and have been running a similar thread over there and this topic definitely helped me to find modulars! Thanks so much! ?

  13. I thought the switch over was going to be automatic, like you did. But if not, that's fine. I don't mind getting rid of the card all together. We only used it for TRU or points related purchases and paid it off monthly.

  19. hmmm looks familiar... oh I remember... it looks about the same as the one from City Square 60097 that just retired!! Whats next Lego? Might as well just do a set of the tram so people don't need to dish out $200.

  21. Have you seen high-end model kits? They have tons of stickers. And not the self-adhesive kind either. The primary complaint I have about stickers from LEGO is they don't have clear backing. A white backed sticker on a white LEGO piece will look off because they're not the same color of white. It would be better if the stickers were clear backed. Then they would always look good regardless of what color LEGO they're applied to. The one place I really dislike stickers though is a canopy. Then again, it is a testament to the skill of the builder to get such a sticker right.
