The biggest down fall in the hospital set... TLG did not include this little guy! Like how do you not have him in the set walking out of the hospital?5 points

Haven't you heard? They only profited about $1 billion last year. They're just squeaking by. They don't have $500 just laying around to have someone remake the instructions with some other color bricks, have a photo shoot and redo the box. Promoting creativity is reserved for their advertising message to consumers, not their own products.4 points

Looks like another structure to fit into a theme park with the pirates roller coaster.2 points

Speaking of people pack, I thought this new people pack is pretty awesome compare to the beach one. A perfect set to go with with the Camper RV 60182.2 points

I think I've mentioned this a few times. Dump right after XMas when stock is gone everywhere. They usually go for $150-$175.2 points

Little rant. Seller has a couple of minifigs for sale and one picture of the back of the figures is really blurry. I can't make out the condition of the figures and I just want the torsos to replace some figures with cracked arms. Sent a message asking if they had any better pictures. Get a reply back "Just what is there, selling cheap". I am sorry, if you can't take an extra picture for an interested party or even take a good picture to begin with, perhaps you shouldn't sell on ebay.2 points

The lawyers would end up really pleased, the rest of us would get a certificate for a small PAB cup with a $250 purchase.1 point

This is certainly YMMV but just found Technic Porsche in TRU for $200. looks like when they cleared out the online warehouses this one made it to the store with a price of $222, so the 10% off pushed it just under $200. saw lots of other exclusives, but all at rrp or above before the 10%...1 point

Essentially, the main structure in this line of Disney is on an 8x8 Plate. That Plate can be swapped with larger sets, (ie removing towers or sections of the castle), and then adding the one you want in its place. There are currently 5 sets out in this fashion; new Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty castles, Mulan and Frozen smaller sets and the Ariel boat (41151, 41152, 41153, 41154, 41155) Castles are set up so the towers are on the 8x8 architecture and can easily be swapped out, much like the newish Modular homes in the Creator line. Even within each set, you have a B&S function. See the 2 plates under the bookcase on the front? The idea is that you can swap out either of the two 2x4 Plates that are meant to look like an Easel and the other, a stand for the Frog. and make the set more playable.1 point

Totally agree on a different color option, or introducing instructions on building the different variations of the Bus. 2020 will be the 70th anniversary of the VW bus so maybe holding another 2 years will help?1 point

Saw this over on Brickset. Take it for what it is. " mm, I'd say a cross between #10188 and #10123. In fact, lop the bottom half off #10188, add a couple of platforms and a ship or two (can't remember!), and you'll be pretty much there. I really can't remember much detail other than that, I'm afraid. If I were to guess at part count, I'd say between 2000-3000, but that's a total guess based on what I remember it looking like. " " ^ That's fine. Oh, also, there's a Slave 1 in it too, probably about 28 - 30 studs long, from what I saw. Nice-looking model, although obviously smaller than #8097. I think it uses this part for the front: "1 point

At the very least, why can’t Lego retire this one and sell a different color. A dark green / forrest green would look good. yeah, I’m also deep in 10220. Like Excite said, maybe it times to move soon for the holidays.1 point

This would totally fit together with the Pirate themed 3-in-1 Pirate Rollercoaster sets (plural version) for a Pirate themed fair which includes this set as a playground feature for kids!1 point

Sometimes it's nice when a set becomes only worth its build/play value and I can justify actually cutting seals to building one. After I fail my statistical mechanics exam tomorrow I'm gonna build a lego set for me, maybe the first since unexpected gathering broke on the scene.1 point

*sigh* I'm way too deep on this. If they don't get rid of this soon, I'll end up building a hell of a big VW Bus.1 point

I stopped by the Lego store today to get the Incredibles Brickheadz and talked a little about this with the associate I am familiar with. She says that literally every week she has people asking for Pirate themed sets. Nostalgia + RollerCoaster elements will make for a really popular set.1 point

I think of it the same as the Creator 3-in-1s and the Modulars. I doubt each hurts the sales of the others. Some people can shell out $250 for a modular. Others can only shell our $40 for a smaller building. Same with this.1 point
