George Lucas needs to share the original ideas he had for the storyline of the new trilogy movies (that ones that Disney rejected, leading to his being removed as a consultant). His vision is the only one that should ever be considered true canon.3 points

LEGO figured: dragon's sell, so .... dragon's are the new helicopters and they're part of every set?3 points

Just sold the last of my Megabloks COD tanks I picked up a couple of years ago at £15 each, bundled with a couple of figs sold at £50. Also finished selling off my DC girls, buy in for most was at 50% and I’ve been doing bundles at around retail. Last bundle of 41234, 41235, 41231, 41233 sold at £60 buy in £32. Wish I bought more. All gone in 9 months at prices roughly double my buy in, with negligible fees. Continuing to kick out my £20 75902: The Mystery Machine with 2 series 14 figs for £55. Slower mover with the figs than without, but it’s a better margin and I’m almost out of MM’s (8 or 9 left) Same for 75052: Mos Eisley Cantina + Droid combos at between £100 - £110, buy in £50. Almost out of these too. 75112-1: General Grievous + 75111-1: Darth Vader combos at retail (£50) buy in £25. I think these will go higher, but I have so many I need to re-balance Couple of 41179-1: Queen Dragon's Rescue at £90, buy in £36 and a couple of 70593: The Green NRG Dragon £50 – buyin £20 And I finished moving my £70 75105-1: Millennium Falcon – for between £125-£130. All ebay, inclusive of shipping. Pricing is probably a little lower than expected but ebay fees have been pretty much none existent recently. I paid £38 fees for £3,700 sales in March, so I’m just moving the stock.3 points

One of my friends brought these back from Billund, Denmark for me and I wanted something that had the Lego House logo on it. Got one for each member of the family, except for the dog of course. I did not think he would be as excited as the rest of us. Sorry doggie! Unfettered minifigures were only available with actual sets.2 points

Creepy Geoffrey small set is making some good money right now. Makes me wish it wasn't so creepy and I stocked up more. I wouldn't have picked that for a money maker, so maybe that coupon will do the same.2 points

As best I can tell, from my kids watching it over the last few years, it really doesn't matter. There's no real continuity. The first few episodes that aired, everything was "LEGO-fied." Buildings and cars, and "stuff" all had LEGO studs, etc. on them. As the show progressed, though, it's cartoon versions of everything. Even the stuff that are sets, are cartooned versions of the sets. So instead of a very obvious LEGO studded rollercoaster, for example, it's just a stylized rollercoaster. Same exact design, colors, etc., just no studs, and not as blocky. Back to continuity, there's an episode where the Friends meet up with the Pop Star (Livi), and they become friends with her. And it's clearly the first time they've all met. But then there is a different episode where they encounter Livi for the first time, and Livi unknowingly steals a song they've written, and the girls end up on stage with her. And it's clearly the first time they've all met. I could be confusing that with the time they met Livi (again for the first time), and it was an American Idol like contest. Clearly, I've been paying more attention that I probably should to all of this. Awhile back. There's a short, fat, red-hair girl that was also somewhat obnoxious. She appeared in a couple of episodes.1 point

I didn't mind the prequels as much. The big issue was the casting and dialog. I thought most of the characters were cool.1 point
-
The prequels were worse than the sequels. Period....and George Lucas was responsible. Maybe there should be a rule that no movie franchise exceeds 3 movies.1 point

You say Jason, I say Jax. But I never read Firestorm when Jason was part of the matrix, but love Jax on Flash/Legends.1 point

The value that R2 and 3PO had in the original trilogy (even 1-3) was crucial. It's not like they are aged and it's like "oh the poor old robots" and they can't be used. Sure add BB-8, but again, so many lost opportunities.1 point

Europe feels no need for any further Batman or Star Wars sets. This year is all about dinosaurs and wizards.1 point

I would be all over the race sets for my daughter, except that with the changes LEGO has made to the characters, they lost my daughter's interest. She really loved the characters they had already developed (LEGO sets, cartoons, etc.) Her attitude is kind of like she's lost a friend. I was shocked when I recently took her to the LEGO store for her birthday and she didn't want a single friends set. She ended up getting an older set. She's only 10, so I guess we'll see what happens in the next year or so when the last of the previous sets hit EOL. I tried to explain the character diversity LEGO was going for, but my daughter didn't see it that way. She had fallen in love with the previous characters. Now they're all gone. So as of right now, LEGO has lost my daughter's interest in the entire friends theme.1 point

Dude. Batwoman. OMAC. Ace the Bathound! Those are some premium minifigs - at least to me. I bet you’d be surprised at how good that Batwoman minifig does.1 point

before toys r us and target were on ebay, they had stores on amazon until amazon figured out their business and killed them. tru had a 10 year agreement to sell on amazon starting in 2000 instead of growing its own retail website. target also had a store on amazon that shut down in 2011. they then went to open stores on ebay because ebay wasn't going to eat their lunch out from under them but it was too late by then. amazon gets 100 million people to pay them $99 a year ($9.9 billion) before they even make a single purchase just to get their stuff quicker. no one pays target, tru or any retailer squat. amazon has created and mastered a voice recognition ecosystem including speakers and tv sets and other devices that facilitate further purchasing of more amazon products and services. what product has target created? target can't even control their prices - I wonder what all the stock analysts would be thinking if they knew how much money target lost on the great lego sale of 2018. how many other products are being sold at a loss because of ineptitude. why won't offer up and facebook marketplace erode ebay's dominance? i don't think ebay ceo is thrilled about anything amazon does but is probably cheering on Trump's bashing which has been a great money making opportunity if you bought amzn on the dip. once supreme court throws out north dakota's tax case siding with amazon, stock will rally another 2-3%. assuming ebay is still around in 5 years. no it will always be around. that's where people sell their old junk - that's what large number of older prime customers think. ebay is for buying and selling used stuff. i know its crazy.1 point

It is also a bigger shift in term of business model for eBay. However, since eBay leaderships are more followers of trend than creators, it would not surprise me if they announce a barely working FBA clone 5 years from now1 point
-
Lol eBay has been doing that for years. Remember Target and TRU have/had their own eBay stores for at least 3 years. After all this year playing catch up to Amzn, eBay CEO must be thrilled Amzn is dong something that eBay did first1 point

Prominent YouTube reseller suggested Best Buy will be closing all stores by end of year. He seemed pretty confident. He wouldn't reveal the name other than "large electronics brick & mortar retailer" Obviously just a rumor, though.1 point

i would actually be very worried. It shows that they may be considering wholesale changes in their toy selling category for third party sellers. They may potentially be considering requiring brand authorization which is very difficult for small sellers to receive. They can create a gate without notice at any time and there is nothing to do about it.1 point

Picked up a few used sets off eBay yesterday for $230 total. Star Wars: 7879 Hoth Echo Base 9516 Jabba's Palace 75014 Battle of Hoth All complete with minis and manuals, just no boxes. I plan on constructing a Hoth scene in the basement. I have 75138 Hoth Attack and 75098 Assault on Hoth sets to build already and a 75054 AT AT and 75049 Snowspeeder to throw in, but was holding out for 7879 especially as it fits in the build very well compared to other Hoth sets. I will pick up 7666 and at least 2 8084's one day and work it in when I find it at a price I can't pass on.1 point
