Received this today from KMart. Surprisingly enough the set inside was encased in bubble wrap and was in excellent condition. The same could not be said about the box3 points

Essex has about 2/3 of the Amazon facilities liquidation. (the contracts are bid on yearly). They have to take all the amazon returns and fc overstocks from all those facilities. Bargain Hunt is their retail stores. They also have a wholesale Dept where they sell out to other people like myself. That particular item was taken in to their floor load processing facility outside Nashville and then processed. They then put out on loads that have the smaller bar code sticker with the load it came from. Usually numbered and AF for amazon floor load. Floor loads refer to the way they are shipped from the amazon return facility to them. Basically is a hand stacked 53' trailer top to bottom. You can also buy the processed stuff they don't want which is what that set came from originally. The store tags are slightly different and have different information. That's about 46 pallets of that type merchandise from a load from them3 points

Just a guess, but I think the stores that are in that 90% mode now are the ones that were on the original store closing list. The stores that have the 5% off LEGO are the ones (I believe), that were "the rest" of the stores that are closing.2 points

I feel this Black Card VIP program is similar to the Last Jedi. Sounded good until we saw the actual implementation. Lego took a page out of Rian Johnsonson's playbook and trolled everyone.2 points

This kid would have been better...Heck, he already played a young Harrsion Ford character...1 point

I think you'll find they're called "fake" English accents. They're not regional, only the pretentious, students & post graduates speak that way. Yeah, bring back the likes of Christopher Eccleston in gone in 60 seconds. He was a "top end" British bad guy. Proper northern accent, too.1 point

Yaaa... remember a kindler simpler time in a galaxy far far away where the blasted limeys were always the bad guys that played for the empire (ok, except for Obi-wan but he didn't have much of an accent), and the good guys were Americans? Those were the days.1 point

He's made a couple of my favorite movies so I'm hoping he can pull this together. I was going to sit this out, and I may still wait to hear how good it is before going, but I'm more excited than I was.1 point

This is a great point. I hope not, but its happened many times before.1 point

I agree, I was thrilled when they brought RH on. He is extremely solid - I hope he ended up re-shooting everything.1 point

I know it's just a trailer - but if Ron Howard was able to turn this movie into what this trailer shows, it will be a winner.1 point

So they (=Essex) are a liquidator and send certain goods to Amazon and others they keep for their BH stores? Or is this liquidated Amazon inventory that they buy up and then either sell via other online channels or keep in their stores? Not sure I understand the jargon in your reply ....1 point

My kids want the Wind Generator, my wife wants the Nutcracker, and I like the trains. Maybe just sell the birds to offset the cost, and keep the rest? Fun decision to make! BTW....The Nutcracker box is VERY impressive!1 point

Bought on BrickLink: 40290 60 Years of the LEGO Brick, $37.24 Shipped, did not want to spend $125 to get this free set. 5005358 Minifigure Factory, $21.48 Shipped, did not want to spend $75 to get this free set. In my mind I saved $140 on things I do not really need from the Lego Store or SAH by buying these sets for ~ $60 separately and not need needing to spending $200 to get them otherwise.1 point

Michael Bay's Solo might not be so bad. Han and the girl go from planet to planet trying to escape an agent of the Empire chasing them. The agent's Star Destroyer shoots & blows up any big structure/monument in every planet they visit. Lots of explosions, some space chases with MF, and some inappropriate scenes involving Greedo..1 point

That Chewbacca OMG that is so bad. It is hilarious, like some deformed puppy. And what are those tentacles below his mouth. And that foresk.. I mean forehead. What was LEGO thinking? WHY?1 point
