First (and most likely last) delivery of my orders from LEGO Shop at Home sale last Thursday: (8) 42043 Mercedes-Benz Arocs - € 99.99 (6) 75105 Millennium Falcon - € 74.99 (5) 21121 The Desert Outpost - € 34.99 (2) 76057 Spider-Man Bridge Battle - € 49.99 (2) 70596 Samurai X Cave Chaos - € 59.99 (8) 21027 Architecture Berlin - € 14.99 (8) 41125 Horse Vet Trailer - € 19.99 Arocs, Minecraft and Friends arrived minty fresh in factory cartons. 1 of the Berlin sets, 2 Falcons and both Ninjago sets had some creases. FBA return, where they sent the customer the wrong item and then returned this to me. Nice of them to slap the shipping label on the box and send it back to me this way. It happened twice with Emma’s House over the holidays, sent Sunshine Ranches to my customers with KMart clearance stickers on them. My daughter and I put it together. She made it through 2 bags with me before she started playing, as I was building. Much nicer set than I always thought it would be, solid build.2 points

I bought one thing from the classifieds. I think being separate from the site didn't help and I was skeptical of it working. I assumed that sellers would continue to ask for the same prices they expected to get from Ebay on brick classifieds. As expected, when I would check for an item or set they were mostly more or the same price as ebay. Sellers were not getting charged a fee but still wanted ebay prices. Because of this, I stopped checking for items I wanted. I would assume the site is made up of mostly sellers and if you were a buyer/collector, you would most likely be more price savvy. . So without buyers, brick classifieds didn't have much of a chance. However, I did like the fact that you kind of knew the seller. Seeing names I could identify from brickpicker made me feel more confident in buying. It also never hurts to have multiple avenues to sell/buy Lego.2 points

Phasma retired in Europe! Reaching 3xRRP on ebay...Finn also tagged "retiring soon" ? What a short lifespan! They were introduced 2017 in November. Were they exclusively sold through Shop@H? Noticed that the stand plate is printed "exclusive" by Phasma & Finn. The other BHz show "1" for series 1 or "Series 2" Lloyd and Master Wu also also received that "exclusive" print.2 points

Two key ingredients help the sand stick together - water and the really fine sand that is down here on the gulf. We actually took lessons from a sand castle artist down here in Texas and it was the best vacation activity our family has ever done. Highly recommended if you ever vacation on South Padre Island.2 points

The few missing parts I ordered arrived for the Indiana Jones 7623 Temple Escape set I bought off CL ($40) recently and it was a fun build with a lot of play features. It is an impressive set for its size and it will be a little bit sad when it sells since I bought it for investment. It did come with both instruction manuals and that was a bonus.2 points

I reckon Yellow Submarine is the slowest film tie-in release. @exciter1 is probably still waiting for that movie to drop, though.1 point

Yes, that was a main issue. We would have liked for people to pass along the savings from no fees to the buyer, but many did not. I had some excellent experiences, though. Maybe this next iteration of the Classifieds (that is forum based) will let people do business with confidence and ease.1 point

Just figured out why my local shopko has jacked up Lego prices 10%. Was checking out and two workers run quickly out the side door. One comes back in a minute or two later with cart full of larger Lego sets - probably $800-1000 worth.1 point

First of all, I had to google Basilisk (I have not watched these movies). Then I had to go back and find where it was and thought it was the owl initially. Yikes, that thing when glances just looks like a burn pile.1 point

Stud-Flipper, you definitely have your whole life ahead of you. Good for you for identifying your situation and quitting a crappy job. Something better will come along. I'm in my 40's and was recently laid off. I have not been unemployed for about 20 years. Scary as hell. Had my first interview yesterday. Crossing fingers.1 point

You got banned so hard you spun around the other way and ended up a black level VIP1 point

I don't know what LEGO is doing with the special black card. I was banned from Shop at Home over a year ago and I'm not entirely sure why, but I won't go into those details here. Regardless I still get e-mails about promotions and catalogs in the mail asking me to buy stuff I can't. My VIP account and points still work in store only. I never ordered the UCS Falcon and I've only purchased sets from my local LEGO store about 3 times in the past year. Having said that I received the black card in the mail this week and I have no idea why.1 point

Sold a 10259 Winter Village Station for £100 with £3 fee. Got it for £52.49 on LEGO Shop at Home, plus £3 cashback and VIP points. Shame only one of these actually came. It's a nice flip, though I've no idea why the price has risen so high; it's guaranteed to come back later in the year.1 point

Thought I would quickly share with everyone the small Batman display I've pulled together. Check it out: Had to find a good way to display the Lego Batman CMFs, so I brick built the LBM logo and added all 20 minifigures across the logo. Select figs have a small Batman logo on their stand. All Batman baddies ever made are displayed above in the Rogue's Gallery (posted before), and I mounted the big figs and the Brickheadz directly to little stands that I nailed to the wall. LBM vehicles are in the shelves below. Next on my to-do list is to build a display for all of the Batman minifigures ever released. My idea is to mount them on a background that's modeled after Wayne Tower. Robin minifigs we'll be on the lower levels, and Batman figs will be in the upper sections. Hope this spurs some creative ways to display minifigure collections! Will post more as it's completed.1 point

Well, Kenxxx, your encouragement saved me. Even though I lost the appeal, and could not see any way to appeal again, after I read your post, I opened a case yet again, stated the facts again, and just now got this reply: "We see that your account was debited for the claim on order 111-7018795-1985832 in error." The money they took is back in my account. The whole experience was maddening, but at least I got the money back. Thanks for encouraging me to keep trying!1 point
