This. I went in for another f40, happy to pay retail for that. Alas, none left. I don’t see why the suggestion was to post this there to get rid? This daily deals forum is not as worthwhile if that keeps happening. .3 points

Stud-Flipper, you definitely have your whole life ahead of you. Good for you for identifying your situation and quitting a crappy job. Something better will come along. I'm in my 40's and was recently laid off. I have not been unemployed for about 20 years. Scary as hell. Had my first interview yesterday. Crossing fingers.2 points

I'd like to find some Buttercups to go with all the Bubbles and Blossoms I got. Somebody bought a ton of ETs near me since Monday. I only got some. I wonder if rampant 80's Nostalgia was not the way to go for the gold discs. Knight Rider, A-Team, ET, Gremlins, Goonies, were those the characters that Dimensions players were really clamoring for? Were those just the older licenses that were cheap enough to splurge on?1 point

Well done for sticking with it and snatching a bargain. I've no idea if I will get prison island or not. ?1 point

Seriously doubt that ,had been checking non stop for AOH to come back in stock and was cursing my luck at not getting one, but came across this sell off in stead, would have ordered more but was out at the time and my phone was banjaxed with the slow Lego sah site, hence why I did not get finished until the party was all but over and there was little point posting here.1 point

I so agree, I still felt like a kid at 40 (not so anymore). Can't see well near or far, general aches for no good reason, short term memory not even close to what it used to be.1 point

Half thought I might be missing something and shot down here but seems not. Naturally disappointed, i get it going across to hukd straight away for pants sets, but decent ones where the community here still have a shot at getting at a decent price surely is to be guarded. I am working nights tonight so will keep an eye on sah intermittently and report back if I see things are going in and out of availability.1 point

It's the health issues that bother me as I approach 50. Nothing major...just it gets harder and harder to "feel good." When you are 30, your health is not a major factor for most people. Feeling good is taken for granted. I guess my biggest pet peeve is the $3.00 readers I need to see clearly.1 point

Available-TOOS-SOLD OUT-RETIRED seems to be the sequence. If stock is low, C2C replaces Available. Let me know if you get 2018 seal codes on any of your orders of retired sets BTW!1 point

The 50% off sale is legit - it started 3 weeks ago. I guess they got some returns from brand stores and they don´t want them clogging up the warehouse. Remember how 75150 and 41122 came back at 50% off last year too?1 point

Yes and Hoth and Minecraft Village too, but the problem is now the horde is aware so you would have to be really lucky or quick to snag anything else.1 point

It’s funny how some employees have no idea what you’re talking about or they aren’t helpful at all. Then there are others that are super nice and go out of their way to help you out. Those are the people that I try to get to know, ask them their first name, and shake their hand. It’s amazing how far being courteous can get you.1 point

I really don't know if this is the right thread for this, but I am looking to get rid of two of my trucks in hopes of getting a windmill and a house (missed them both). Would anyone want to trade one? I can send pics and whatever else you need, they are both in excellent condition. Feel free to message me! ....and If this is the wrong spot for this, can someone point me to the right one? haha1 point

Different target markets. UCS collectors and AFOLS will want the bigger ones and kids will get the small ones. TIE retiring allowed me to sell my last Red 5 as people want both in a bundle.1 point

I don't think Red 5 is a turd. It won't be remade for the next several years, and the value of a MISB/NISB will steadily increase. Maybe not as fast as speculators had hoped for, but people looking for spectacular increases should move over to cryptocurrencies. I expect the same from 75095. Not a QF set for sure, but give it five years and it will see a healthy value increase.1 point

When a Momma LEGO Dimension and a Daddy LEGO Dimension love each other very much, they give each other a very special hug. Then a stork puts the baby LEGO Dimension into the Momma LEGO Dimension tummy, so the Momma LEGO Dimension can start to love the Baby LEGO Dimension.1 point

Good morning all, I’ve received lots of interest so far. Please pm the following in your request: 1. Zip code 2. Preferred ship method 3. If you want them in their boxes or just the poly bags and instructions (less shipping cost). 4. Set and quantity of each. 5. If the shipping estimate is higher than actual, I’ll return the difference or add to your St Paul donation, your choice. Some have offered to pay more than the extra $1 per set. Anything paid over cost will be added to your donation. Thanks for your generosity [emoji3] For those with larger orders (>50), I can probably get another 50x Unikitty, Slimer and 75x Chase. If these interest you, pm me and I’ll arm sweep them on my way home. Cheers all! Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum1 point

I've not found UK customers to be picky at all. Fair enough if you advertise as MISB and demand a premium then you may get a complaint if it falls below that but that's only fair. I tend to list all my items as NISB with a proviso that if you are after a mint box further checks and photos can be provided before purchase if messaged. I've had one person contact me to make sure an item was mint and it was for the TRU bricktober Ninjago Minifigures. I would say most of my sales are either to collectors who want to build or people buying presents for family & Friends. I've not had a single complaint about box condition on an item I've sold in the UK or Europe. For items with a good amount of box damage i either part out or list at 10% below current asking prices, in most cases if a sets value has gone up and v is ib demand the damaged set quickly sells.1 point

Quite a bit of stock out there. Here’s what I found today: Slimer, Unikitty, Chase, Powerpuff, Hermione, ET, Doc, Nya. I also have onesies or twosies from last year laying around: Bad Cop, Gollum, Legolas, Bart, Homer. I should have over a hundred assorted total. I’ll fill the requests I got today first. If anyone else wants any of these, let me know. I left quite a bit on the shelves and don’t mind going back out. There’s an abundance of Slimer, Chase, and Unikitty. If any Brickpicker is interested in these discounted Dimension sets, I’ll send them to you at $0 profit.($1.99+tax+shipping+$1). I will donate the extra $1 per set to the St. Paul raffle in your name. If you prefer to remain anonymous, pm me. I’m going to visit a couple of stores today, so let me know how many you want and which ones. Caveat: I visited a 99c store yesterday and only found 1x Doc and 2x Chase. Store clerk did say that more may come in on Monday. So no promises. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum1 point

Probably people borrowing on credit because Lego is better than gold. I hope they're declaring their 5% profit.1 point

Finally got round to buying the snowspeeder. Although a more accurate and detailed build with nice touches still prefer the original since I fell it’s more imposing since a bit blockier.1 point

Found this comment on Rebelscum a bit interesting: "German LEGO fan site zusammengebaut.com reports that LEGO noted that the popularity of their Star Wars theme had peaked (when?) and that sales were declining. In their live blog of the LEGO press conference, the field reporter from zusammengebaut.com noted that the mood from LEGO was glum." http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/LEGO_Nuremburg_Toy_Fair_Reveals_178467.asp -------------------- Personally, I think this is an accurate assessment. I think the Star Wars theme is tumbling towards rock bottom (and hasn't reached it yet), but it's heading there and quickly. I don't blame this strictly on Lego, but a lot of the blame should be placed on Disney's shoulders. It's just not Lego that is tumbling, but the Star Wars theme in general. I recently noticed the Toys R Us in my vicinity completely scaled back the Star Wars aisle, and marvel merchandise was combined with it. Basically the space was halved. I also noticed two targets in my area do the same thing. I personally didn't like the Last Jedi movie, and I don't think my son thinks too much about that film either since he doesn't seem to want anything from it, and still hasn't built the two sets from the theme he got from Christmas. Overall, looking at this year, I only have interest in picking up the Ach-to, Yoda's Hut, and all 4 battle packs (already picked up the Jawa version).. The Solo film sets i'm going to have a wait and see attitude with (I did pretty much the same for the Last Jedi), but I could see definitely picking up the speeder, but i have no interest in the new falcon other than maybe bricklinking minifigs a few years from now when prices bottom out on them. Overall, I don't see myself spending much money on Star Wars this year. It will probably be around 130 bucks at most. Not anything like previous years. I also feel the same way about the Marvel infinity sets (have zero interest other than bricklinking some figs). The Jurrassic World sets is probably going to get the most dollars from me this year. Anyway, can Star Wars recover? I don't know... i'm a bit of an old timer now with this theme, as we have a pretty solid collection but with rehashes, and sets based on movies that didn't inspire - well it will be hard pressed to want to go and buy every single set. At this point, I no longer just collect them all. If I had a 3 or 4 year old again, and wasn't around for the 2010-2015 era I could see myself anxiously awaiting the Sandcrawler, and X-wing, but at this point, it's hit the rehash and revision cycle and I dont know if it's enough to make me want to go out and buy those. The future of this theme gets bleaker with each wave reveal, i'm afraid to say.1 point

No. Please no. This is my weakspot, racing. Dammit, once Amusement was done, I felt good about no more Friends purchases. Then the RV releases. Now a racing theme. Friends Speed Champions Racers. Sent from my VS995 using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Built a fence! Last month, we had some incredibly strong winds here in SoCal and it knocked my fence over. My neighbor and I, after getting a construction quote and realizing his deductible was too high, decided to rebuild the fence ourselves. We finally finished up yesterday. I had never built a fence. He’s done it a few times. I think it turned out really well. Although the post hole digging took a lot out of this old body.1 point

Oh no, they have launched 2 sets to scupper any chance of appreciation for 41122 Adventure Camp Tree House! Plus, the girls all seem to have started dating and one even has a kid.0 points
