You could try mentioning to her: "While I certainly do understand your wanting to reclaim the basement, you do realize that the bedroom is going to crowded with an awful lot of LEGO."4 points

Good morning all, I’ve received lots of interest so far. Please pm the following in your request: 1. Zip code 2. Preferred ship method 3. If you want them in their boxes or just the poly bags and instructions (less shipping cost). 4. Set and quantity of each. 5. If the shipping estimate is higher than actual, I’ll return the difference or add to your St Paul donation, your choice. Some have offered to pay more than the extra $1 per set. Anything paid over cost will be added to your donation. Thanks for your generosity [emoji3] For those with larger orders (>50), I can probably get another 50x Unikitty, Slimer and 75x Chase. If these interest you, pm me and I’ll arm sweep them on my way home. Cheers all! Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum3 points

can't you quickly cover the boxes with tie die sheets and construct some sort of crude mancave to stave off the territorial grab? maybe sprinkle a few fake spiders and snakes and a can of musty odor. forego any controlling of the television /video streaming remote? my wife was contemplating the same move until i made her the sole employee-propreitor of my lego based business and put 20% of my profit into an ira with her name on it. basement err "lower level" problem solved. also pay less in taxes to da guberment and wife gets retirement account. win win win.3 points

The set looks fantastic! Especially the new printed tiles which include the mustang logo on the the 1 x 1 tile round. Let us know your thoughts on the upcoming Ford Mustang Fastback in the comments section below!3 points

Quite a bit of stock out there. Here’s what I found today: Slimer, Unikitty, Chase, Powerpuff, Hermione, ET, Doc, Nya. I also have onesies or twosies from last year laying around: Bad Cop, Gollum, Legolas, Bart, Homer. I should have over a hundred assorted total. I’ll fill the requests I got today first. If anyone else wants any of these, let me know. I left quite a bit on the shelves and don’t mind going back out. There’s an abundance of Slimer, Chase, and Unikitty. Nothing boring about them at all. The majority of them are great sets. Golden Rule - Don't dive in at RRP Lego Movie was far superior.3 points

This is a good summary of why I keep an off-site unit. If you can spend the time to be super organized about it, it can be much more efficient. I use only 3-4 common box sizes to ease stacking and maximize the space usage. I also use a virtual 3D grid, to assign each box with a location ID within the unit. My spreadsheet then stores what each box has inside, and where it's located. It takes time on the front end, but it makes it very easy to pull stock when an item meets my price target. Extra Space does. I think they allow one to pay up to 1 year in advance at the current rental rate. This needs to be done in month 3 or 4 though. I've never tried with PS.2 points

I checked my local store Friday and they had plenty of Powderpuff and Slimer with some city, Wu, and Nya scattered. I became friends with the manager during round one so I asked to be in the loop on shipments. next shipment for my store was unpacked Sunday. This one had a lot more Powderpuff and E.T. appeared. This time I got to take boxes. They simply re packed the Lego factory boxes once stickers were placed. In talking with the manager, she indicated this may be like last time where there will be different packs trickling in over the course of a few weeks. I plan to check periodically to see what shows up. YMMV.2 points

no, you are wrong assuming that its a "crazy concept"... I love, tender and cherish to have my Batman collection to be complete.. and Im really glad that there are others - out there - who feel the same way and do not scrutinize every purchase like: what is it worth in xxx years? does it pay off to stock it.. ? etc..2 points

If any Brickpicker is interested in these discounted Dimension sets, I’ll send them to you at $0 profit.($1.99+tax+shipping+$1). I will donate the extra $1 per set to the St. Paul raffle in your name. If you prefer to remain anonymous, pm me. I’m going to visit a couple of stores today, so let me know how many you want and which ones. Caveat: I visited a 99c store yesterday and only found 1x Doc and 2x Chase. Store clerk did say that more may come in on Monday. So no promises. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum2 points

Room just about finished. Sadly my budget didn't buy me bespoke shelving so I had to settle for cube shelving. Doesn't work for the big sets so these have to sit on top. Overall, pleased with the effort and it has cleared other areas of the house. We now have space that we never thought we had! If my better half gets cross, at least I can sleep with the Lego!2 points

Buy some alcohol swabs from the local pharmacy. As mentioned, if no edges are peeled, they work exceptionally, and alcohol dries up almost immediately, saves the effort of toweling them off one by one.1 point

It's a great set, impressive size-wize but the colour could have been better imho. Costco has 66 left on-line (don't quote me but I'm pretty sure it was 90+ left early last month)1 point

I just use a damp cloth to get any dust or obvious dirt off. Definitely cant soak em......... Had a few sneak by in bulk batch and the stickers do not hold up. You could run em under water quickly and then dry em off immediately. This is definitely ok if the sticker appears in good shape and adhered along all edges.1 point

All kidding aside, if someone finds that green Powerpuff girl, I would be in the market for a couple of them.1 point

Sorry to hear this. Each storage company has their own 'game' where they squeeze profits. Some require insurance, others don't. Which it is seems to depend on the site manager, or who happens to checks you in. Know that rents will typically go up after 6 months, typically by 10-20%---the initial rate is a teaser. Usually, the only way to avoid the rate change is to move to a new unit. With Public Storage, I've found that as long as the new unit is in a new name / email address, the new unit can be in the same building. If your volume is high enough that Cladner's advice will sway your wife, that may be a much cheaper and more preferable option. best of luck as you proceed.1 point

I suspect what happened there, as you may have deduced already, is that some Asian buyer saw your listings, thought they were a worthy deal to get via their freight-forwarding company, and promptly told a bunch of friends that they knew used the same forwarder about the good deals, and they all ordered some items too. I had this happen with Snowglobes when they first came out. Alternatively, but along similar lines, it may have been one buyer who wanted everything, but knew they’d pay duty import fees on orders over a certain threshold, so they split it up between multiple accounts to circumvent the import charges. Nothing foul at play. I like to support Asian economies buying authentic LEGO!1 point

I dont charge more then $15 USD shipping (In Canada) it just seems alot when i know for the same package in the USA it costs 2.55 USD and will get to the east Coast in 2 days or less. I only sells Small New in Box sets online. and Used Misc Stuff, Mini-figures etc etc.. So i doubt im really competing with anyone. PM if you want my ebay user name to have a look at my listings, im all for feedback. We are all working together here for the better of the Lego community. We just do what works for us.1 point

may also be tax implications if you are shipping within Canada if you are going over the 30k/yr then you have to deal with all the hst/pst kerfuffle...1 point

US border allows the Sale of Canadian Goods in the USA. So there is no reason to be hassled its a simple form you fill out ahead of time: the CBP 7533 The thing is if your drive across with that Form its a $12 USA charge. Walking across its free. My wife runs a part time eBay store as well as my Brother-in-law we all walk across and ship items from the states Weekly. and since we are using that form never have an issue cause we are doing it all legally and on the level. Just sucks in the Rain.. ;-) All my stuff is listed on ebay.com but shows up on both, i just charge a ridiculous amount for in Canada shipping, so i rarely sell things to anyone is canada. But sometimes i do, and then i dont care how much Canada post charges cause its covered by my high shipping charge. I also ship internationally from the USA cause its lots cheaper. so stuff going to Europe, etc etc, I just ship it out of Washington. Got like 5 Packages to mail today, Lucky is nice and sunny. Nice day for a walk.1 point

My personal preference is even: TLM >>> TLNM >>> TLBM I enjoyed myself more during the Ninjago movie than the Lego Batman movie. But of course, different people have different preferences.1 point

I've not found UK customers to be picky at all. Fair enough if you advertise as MISB and demand a premium then you may get a complaint if it falls below that but that's only fair. I tend to list all my items as NISB with a proviso that if you are after a mint box further checks and photos can be provided before purchase if messaged. I've had one person contact me to make sure an item was mint and it was for the TRU bricktober Ninjago Minifigures. I would say most of my sales are either to collectors who want to build or people buying presents for family & Friends. I've not had a single complaint about box condition on an item I've sold in the UK or Europe. For items with a good amount of box damage i either part out or list at 10% below current asking prices, in most cases if a sets value has gone up and v is ib demand the damaged set quickly sells.1 point

I know it is shocking but some people here actually collect lego and don't resell. Crazy concept I know. Besides people invest in all kind of things they are not familiar with. In most cases, lego sets are not targeting to adults so it doesn't matter if I like the movie or not, I am not the target audience.1 point

Could you fix that 4th one from the bottom left corner.... it's screaming at me. (and since you're there, maybe the 7th one from the bottom left too, but that isn't too bad)1 point

So I wanted to see if I could build a set and I’m supposed to move my arm to get my elbow to loosen up (that’s where the break is). Pulled out a smaller set I hadn’t built yet. Not too bad. Used my bad wing to collect each piece from the pile to get it some exercise. Nice little build. Bought this totally for the Ugnaut. Might bust out the Destiny’s Bounty next.1 point

Sold Davey Jones, found him in a load of random Playmobil we got at a charity shop, so no buy in. Really sorry to see him go. Sold for £55 on ebay, £44 profit after fees and postage.1 point

Here is a 6 month update for those that were curious. The ship has weathered quite nicely. The only thing I'm worried about is the sails, they look great now, but I don't know about long term. It has not been a maintenance nightmare, as a matter of fact, our cleaner fish and snails do an excellent job!! We get more comments on this display than any of our other displays....people love it!!! I'll post a one year update just for sh*ts and giggles.1 point
