Picked up a 75172 Y-Wing on clearance at Walmart today for $13.00

Was in local LEGO store today due to double VIP pts for Black Card holders. Was surprised to see an Assault on Hoth (last one in stock) still listed at $175. For double VIP pts, 60th anniversary set and 30% off, I'll do that. Imagine my surprise when it actually rang up for $140... score!

Did a small carpentry job for friends in-laws as a favor. They gave me $150 Lego gc which I used on a ninjago city with 60yrs set a couple days ago. Today I went to the Lego store to get a sat v for me and the 2 seasonal brickheadz for my kids Easter baskets and another 60yrs set. Used $20 in vip points.

You're saying they discounted so heavily before because they were felling generous? And not because they needed to clear slow moving sets / remaining stock? What company does that? Lego isnt a charity. they do promos, point and occasional event driven discounts (Black Friday). Thats their attempt at generosity. my view is they discount heavily to deal with problems. When things are okay they don't discount something. But that's ok to disagree of course. Everyone entitled to their view.

That shows Lego is improving...constant steep discounts can be a very bad sign.

Lego not giving discounts on 200 sets doesn't appear to be an indicator of them going anything wrong? That would benefit you and us of course, but why would they discount if they don't need to. No one seems to have photos of the actual set yet. The cover is just artwork. I think this could be a bit of a monstrosity with technics wheels and cogs everywhere

Maybe KK should direct and write every SW film as she wants to control everything. Just look at the many plot holes / bad edits in TFA (doubt it was alll JJ & LK) and what happened to GE while directing Rogue One. I doubt she can envision / maintain an entire universe and it's continuity like Kevin Feige at Disney Marvel. No idea how JJ fits into here but he seems to be everywhere still.

Nothing has been confirmed about the 2020 movie. I'd like to see something set in between the ROTJ and TFA. Once episode 9 is done, something to fill in the years after Jedi. I'll go see the Han Solo movie, but it would be nice to see movies where they introduce new characters that have some small tie in to the Star Wars universe as we know it.

There were some articles a while ago that they were having trouble thinking of a Disney friendly story about a bounty hunter. Afaik the original schedule was: 2015 episode 7 2016 spinoff (rogue one) 2017 episode 8 2018 spinoff (han solo) 2019 episode 9 2020 spinoff (boba fett???)
