That ship just sucks compared to the original. It's hideous. Nearly everything has been taken down a notch for the real version. Junk.2 points

So I read this article about investing in cryptos and I want to start too. I can borrow $10k on a low APR credit card, what cryptos should I buy so I can pay it all off and retire with the profits next year?2 points

Decent points back - online only, Sears - on select Mechanic's tool sets, hand tools, etc. Spend $75 or more, receive $50. And many of the items are already on sale. Got the 118-pc Mechanic's Tool Set. It was already on sale $40 off. Plus I redeemed $4 in points. Total cash outlay $81, but got $52 back in points. Not as good a deal as the Smart Sense 1:1, but if you need some tools it is not bad. There are some really nice items at a deep discount but were only available for store pick-up, so you might get lucky.2 points

I found three banged up Lone Ranger Silver Mine Shootout for $70 or $79, I forgot at the Markham and Steeles location in Markham. I bought two AT-STs which were $34.86 each and left one which had a pretty beaten box.1 point

Yep, you want to wait until just before retirement and buy at a discount, wait until the set starts to fizzle out and then sell. Use the profit’s to buy more sets. your main limiting factor will be space to store it all. Expecially as you are from the uk. Our small houses aren’t the best for spare space.1 point

I throw all the polybags out in the living room and have my wife put them in plastic polybags while she is watching TV or something. Those bags tear too easily to send in loose.1 point

There are a lot of toys that can't be comingled. You can pay Amazon to label them for you if you want. It's in the settings and I think it's .20 a unit. After labeling 42,000 units last year, I was fine paying Amazon the labeling fee in December to speed things up.1 point

No. Please no. This is my weakspot, racing. Dammit, once Amusement was done, I felt good about no more Friends purchases. Then the RV releases. Now a racing theme. Friends Speed Champions Racers. Sent from my VS995 using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Finished this up last week - hands down one of favorite sets, both in terms of the building process as well as the final result. If you are on the fence at all, I highly recommend it! It would be nice if LEGO put out a descent small sail boat to go with this - I have some of the recent Fishing Boats stored away, but somehow one of those just doesn't seem to do this set justice...1 point

I realized I've only been sorting bulk and laying out pieces for sets to see what I'm missing without building any sets for months, so I pulled out the pieces for 6278. Along with my pirate ships, this was one of the largest sets I owned in my childhood. I used to make stop motion videos of the islanders against the pirates using a camera that weighed about 10 pounds. There's a VHS tape around somewhere with what could become The LEGO Pirates Movie. I will need to work on the special effects, though.1 point

I think you guys are reading too much in short term news. Over the last three years, Bitcoin has followed a pretty consistent pattern of value increase, where it drops early in the year, rises untill early summer, drops again and then peaks at the end of the year. This is probably just because it is an inefficient market and relies mostly on the human psyche and not on the broader economic environment. To demonstrate I made a picture comparison. I'm willing to back up this analysis with some crazy predictions for the upcoming year: - Feb to April: A peak somewhere around 25k - April to May: consolidation around 20k, maybe even drops to 15k - May to July: Another rise to 35k or even 50 - July to september: Drops back to 25k - September to December: A run to $100k This is surely not investment advice and I know it is likely I am wrong, but this is what I project and the reason I am only liquidating about 10% of my cryptos into fiat (making sure I have enough to live on if everything tanks). I do believe unexpected events can lead to incredible rises and incredible dumps, so if you later on shame me on this false prediction, I just did not see that one thing coming1 point

I think crypto is at the "Lego is better than gold" point in its lifespan as there is a lot of new money from people that were not previously in this space, both big investors and soccer moms. So the market is being propped back up again but I think the next drop will be even bigger and not sure if there will be enough new money for another rebound. So the BTP will get out and the commoners will be left holding the bag. I too am bullish on ETH and think it will come out on top, well I hope so as I did 3 more limit buys yesterday. I did a double up on TRX in less then 48 hours and think it will 10x quickly once they launch their gaming platform in a few weeks. There is definitely easy money to be had for those that have the skill to day trade like @TabbyBoyis doing.1 point

Yeah! Egghead is here! Decided to jump on a price match to Walmart and used a 20% off gift card, so Egghead was $19.20. I had to build him before@Alpinemaps had the chance, so here he is. Cool set and Condiment King is a nice bonus.1 point
