I went for it.....cracked open one of my Tower Bridges and built the alternate build designed by Lee Inyong. It's a good looking modular, but if you look closely, you can see where he obviously was limited on pieces. For example, the most obvious is the sidewalk not being done in tiles. I am going to tweek the streetscape a little to better flow with my other modulars. There are also some very delicate components as you get deep into the build which add a bit of a challenge. But overall.....I think he did a pretty darn good job at making the most out of what he was provided. Made good use out of one of my shelf-warmers.....4 points

Finished this up last week - hands down one of favorite sets, both in terms of the building process as well as the final result. If you are on the fence at all, I highly recommend it! It would be nice if LEGO put out a descent small sail boat to go with this - I have some of the recent Fishing Boats stored away, but somehow one of those just doesn't seem to do this set justice...3 points

I realized I've only been sorting bulk and laying out pieces for sets to see what I'm missing without building any sets for months, so I pulled out the pieces for 6278. Along with my pirate ships, this was one of the largest sets I owned in my childhood. I used to make stop motion videos of the islanders against the pirates using a camera that weighed about 10 pounds. There's a VHS tape around somewhere with what could become The LEGO Pirates Movie. I will need to work on the special effects, though.3 points

Seems to have a been a 'glitch' that was caused by some tweaks to there restriction process that went into effect today. Namely, all inventory now needs a printed label. Needless to say, a huge sigh or relief.1 point

I'm able to still send in Lego's this appears to be a account specific restrictions.1 point

Update. The CS did give me a brand registry link, which I used but wasn't sure that did anything. Later I deleted items I had just added to FBA inventory and re-entered them... Problem seems to be solved. I don't understand what they are doing, but I am becoming more active on ebay.1 point

The items from my missing box at the BWI warehouse were magically received today. Boxes delivered on Dec 4th and the shipment was closed and auto investigated (basically saying that they received an empty box.) They had been giving me the runaround every time I reopened the case. I had been ready to do my letter to Jeff, but luckily I don't have to worry about it now!1 point

Funny that they officially endorsed this as an option. It's not a good look for their marketplace to have all of these listings for a single product. On another note, my case for the missing box that was delivered at the Baltimore warehouse on December 5 has been interesting. I received an e-mail from a supervisor stating that the reimbursement was denied and a manual audit confirmed there were 0 units in a 30lb box. They closed the case, so I reopened it with a phone call and talked to a very helpful rep who put together all the facts and a strongly worded reply to the reimbursement team to reopen the case for me. Today I saw a jump in my inventory count and it looks like they finally resolved this in my favor. I had to reprice some things quickly before they sold at lower prices that I had set 6 weeks ago. Hopefully this resolution sticks. Not sure if they actually found my inventory or took it from elsewhere.1 point

I think you guys are reading too much in short term news. Over the last three years, Bitcoin has followed a pretty consistent pattern of value increase, where it drops early in the year, rises untill early summer, drops again and then peaks at the end of the year. This is probably just because it is an inefficient market and relies mostly on the human psyche and not on the broader economic environment. To demonstrate I made a picture comparison. I'm willing to back up this analysis with some crazy predictions for the upcoming year: - Feb to April: A peak somewhere around 25k - April to May: consolidation around 20k, maybe even drops to 15k - May to July: Another rise to 35k or even 50 - July to september: Drops back to 25k - September to December: A run to $100k This is surely not investment advice and I know it is likely I am wrong, but this is what I project and the reason I am only liquidating about 10% of my cryptos into fiat (making sure I have enough to live on if everything tanks). I do believe unexpected events can lead to incredible rises and incredible dumps, so if you later on shame me on this false prediction, I just did not see that one thing coming1 point

I went through my full inventory and checked eBay selling prices for them as of last night and the quick flippers and the panicky can easily wipe out a lot of a sets value. Some sets that were actually selling at double rrp now have listings at or below rrp. For example one big trader on eBay was selling 41172 for £15 yesterday when the going rate has been £30+. Even if he got the sets at 75% off, postage and fees ain't leaving much meat on the bone.1 point

Haha! No, parts to build with. What else would I do with 45 rens and maz's?1 point

Maz Kanata's role in the SW VIII will do absolutely nothing for this set except turn it into an even bigger turd.1 point

I bought a very lonely and beat to hell 21125 Minecraft The Jungle Tree House for $34.37 from Target. I was able to get the price knocked down a bit because the box was beat up. They gave me an extra 10% off of the clearance price. I don’t usually buy Minecraft sets, but since this is sold out everywhere I figured I’d give it a shot. I could have gotten a Batman Killed Croc set as well but didn’t want to risk holding it forever.1 point

Just got word of a new Amazon program called FBA Onsite. It is just being rolled out but the gist of it is you can use your own warehouse as your own FBA FC. No more shipping to FC you just add them like you would seller fulfilled Prime. No more storage fees. Flat rate 2 day shipping anywhere in the USA and you use Amazon's transportation network. Eventually all returns will go back to your warehouse. In beta phase so if it works out should be open eventually to everybody just like Small & Light was rolled out. Things are looking very very good.1 point

Likely a return, but I bought a 41176 Secret Marketplace direct from Amazon (£49) this morning. Even pre-owned ones sell for £70 do hopefully a profit, even if box is not great.1 point

With all the negativity surrounding the Last Jedi AT-ST set.. i was regretting not picking up the Rogue One AT-ST. Luckily i found it for a little under retail. As with many Lego sets; it was much bigger than i thought and i'm glad i didn't miss out. I don't care for the Baze or Rebel Trooper, so i'll sell them off to offset the cost. Very cool set, a bit big to go next to my AT-AT in the Hoth display, but i'll find a spot.1 point

No, it is "attached" via two L-brackets. The underside supports are mending plates of various sizes, attached to the TV plate which I did have to drill through. Here is the Amazon link. VideoSecu TV Wall Mount Articulating Arm Monitor Bracket for most 12"-24", some up to 27" LCD LED Plasma Flat Panel Screen TV with VESA 100/75mm ML10B 1E9 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ID7QNI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_YBwxAb47PXFA3 Finish with some nuts and bolts.1 point

Yes Irish Lego prices are obscene but on the other hand I have seen sets in the past still available in Ireland that are no longer available in the UK and selling in the UK for crazy money. So basically research is the keyword, for example lego 60168 a not very interesting set which you could have picked up at Lego sah for £14 in the sale, but on the other hand it had a short shelf life 6 months, very few retailers sold it,and most of all its part of a Sea Rescue Theme which is still selling. Given time even the trash sets I have bought have eventually risen in value ,but I am of the opinion buy sell buy sell is a much better way of getting a return. Boils down to Research and more Research.1 point
