  1. I went for it.....cracked open one of my Tower Bridges and built the alternate build designed by Lee Inyong. It's a good looking modular, but if you look closely, you can see where he obviously was limited on pieces. For example, the most obvious is the sidewalk not being done in tiles. I am going to tweek the streetscape a little to better flow with my other modulars. There are also some very delicate components as you get deep into the build which add a bit of a challenge. But overall.....I think he did a pretty darn good job at making the most out of what he was provided. Made good use out of one of my shelf-warmers.....

  6. Update- did a quick search on the contents and was pleasantly surprised to see all the baseplates, minifigures and other set - specific parts there. Hard to fathom someone dropping over $350 on a Lego set, building it, and then getting rid of it.

  7. A huge fail if there is in fact a CMF Harry Potter line and they don't have someone from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Those torso pieces will be wanted by tons of people. Having figures like the Gray Lady but not someone like Cedric Diggory makes no sense. I'm sure this list is a wild guess for the most part, but a lot of figures nobody needs, like a 3rd Hooch figure, would be disappointing. Outside of the potential Cloud City, the new Harry Potter stuff is what I have the most anticipation for.

  11. As a fan I love this set. The vehicles, minifigures, and Batcave section are the highlights for sure. Wayne Manor leaves something to be desired, but the study with the secret entrance was such a focal point of the show so I'm glad it's in here and with great detail. The build comes off a bit disjointed, but that's due to them trying to accomplish both the mansion and Batcave in one set at this price point. I did buy a set early on and sold off the minifigures and vehicles in hopes that one day I'll MOC something more complete with two sets. To answer your question though, I wouldn't invest much in this. It's been discounted for a while and still can't sell out if that tells you anything. There are better places to put your money, but it's absolutely worth it for your collection.

  14. That would alleviate a shipping hit on your metrics. I know it's a pain to think of it this way.

  15. Just ask the customer to send you a cancellation request, always try this first. If you don't get a reply within couple of hours, just cancel the order (reason: customer request)

  17. It will hurt your shipping metrics, since you're not shipping the product. You may need to open a case to have them check into it, but they told me to not mark the item as shipped until after it's dropped off and scanned at the shipper. This is kind of bogus now, since most shipments are mark shipped as soon as you print the label.

  20. Depends on how complex you want to go... Go all in, like TabbyBoy, you best invest in a hardware Wallet like Ledger Nano S, or even better, a Ledger Blue. Safest and most robust. Then you need to purchase a cryptocurrency at a broker, and have it transferred to your corresponding Wallet-address on the Ledger. To exchange between currencies, a very popular site is Binance.com. If you want to dip your toe in the water and just get a feeling for it, you could conveniently open an account at Blockchain.info or Coinbase.com. There you get a Wallet connected to your account (including 2-factor authentication) and both have a smartphone/tablet app to access your Wallet on-the-go. Blockchain.info currently supports Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Ethereum (ETH). On Coinbase.com you get the same currencies, and additionally also Litecoin (LTC). Here is an overview of Wallets with features, supported currencies and user-reviews: https://www.cryptocompare.com/wallets/#/overview

  22. After the large dump over the past few days I think there's upwards movement all over the board again. Last night I bought more ETH because I'm bullish on it and expect good performance of ETH in 2018. The low value yesterday was a great time to increase my ETH investment!

  23. Store employee at Walmart near me said that along with new inventory that they will be putting out "deleted" sets in clearance over night. They already had a clearance sale last week, as did most Walmart. I stopped at another store was told that all of there older set where gone. I'm planning on checking it out late tonight or early in the morning. But some stores may be having one last wave of clearance.

  24. FEDEX is cheaper and will get your box to the FC one day faster. They also have free pickups (provided you print your label from your Amazon account and don't use your own FEDEX account to print the label). UPS will give you 1 year for free pickups when you make a new account (and yes you can make a new account each year). Compared to your profit the difference is going to be negligible. Our FEDEX pickup guy is a complete lazy tool so we always go with UPS for small parcel and tip big at the end of the year. It really comes down to personal preference.

  27. So right now it´s basically like buying Angry Birds or Lego batman Movie at half price. You know it was worth more and might be worth more again but there is a nagging suspicion that no one will want it at all and that in a few weeks it will be marked down to 70% off and then 3 cents....

  33. Built another TLBM set today. This time it was 70903 The Riddler Riddle Racer. I enjoyed the build and like the look of the final result. As much as I like the racer I think it's just too big to fit into a regular city setting but the parts should prove useful for future MOCs. The minifigure selection is splendid with Magpie being my personal favorite. I already envision her in a normal city context without the giant shoulder pad. The omnipresent Batman minifig has been sold already as one standard TLBM Batman is more than enough for my collection.

  36. My sales during November/December were just average, but January has been excellent so far with 4 sets sold already. Just completed my third Bricklink sale: a 75055 ISD for €230 including shipping to Austria. Could maybe have gotten more for it if I waited longer, but the loft is overflowing with LEGO boxes and I need to make some space for new purchases.

  40. I not worried at all. Well actually, I started selling my Harry Potter sets when I first heard rumors of the new Harry Potter sets for 2018. These are my sets with boxes, I actually have tons without boxes. But by mid summer, I should have sold all of my Harry Potter inventory.
