  1. With all the negativity surrounding the Last Jedi AT-ST set.. i was regretting not picking up the Rogue One AT-ST. Luckily i found it for a little under retail. As with many Lego sets; it was much bigger than i thought and i'm glad i didn't miss out. I don't care for the Baze or Rebel Trooper, so i'll sell them off to offset the cost. Very cool set, a bit big to go next to my AT-AT in the Hoth display, but i'll find a spot.

  7. all fba Ariels undersea palace 41063 $149.99 x 3. ($35 buyin). i think this one could make it to $200 level + with seller count getting down to 20. this is usually time when get quick /large price appreciation. ariel is super popular and with all the other castles filling the lineup, a remake is pushed off until at least 2019 imo. i have 4 left for "later". Death Star Troopers battlepack 75034 $33.95 x5 - ($5 buyin) Rebel Trooper packs 75164 i bought last week for $5 at walmart clearance , stickered shipped and sold - $22.98 ea x9 fba. 1x Minecraft Desert Outpost on the alternate listing - $79.99 - paid $30 during summer walmart clearance. holding onto the rest of these til later this year . nice to see the alternate listing works since the main one is "unavailable".

  8. I made it pretty detailed ( included tracking and weight info), outlining all the facts and my attempts to get the issue resolved through the proper channels. Also pointed out Amazon's own polices in regards to this kind of situation. Didn't mention that this particular FC is an issue nor that other sellers are having similar issues as I felt that might come out as an excuse rather than a fact. It took about a week to receive an acknowledgement email and another week to get a resolution , so be patient. Good luck.

  13. Even just the knowledge that there's a better (older) version of a set already does that to me. For example the MTT: I got the 75058 version at 50% off at retirement. But didn't feel any interest in actually building it, because I knew it was inferior in many ways to the older 7662 version. Sold it off for RRP, which was a nice doubling of my money. Regarding 75105: it was my first 'big' Lego set that I built after returning from my LEGO Dark Ages, during Christmas 2015. Under those circumstances it was a fine build and I had great fun building it. I knew that 10179 existed, but it was far out of reach for me, so I didn't mind settling for the smaller set.

  14. Most of what I buy on Amazon is from third-party sellers. Granted none of that is Lego.

  17. No, it is "attached" via two L-brackets. The underside supports are mending plates of various sizes, attached to the TV plate which I did have to drill through. Here is the Amazon link. VideoSecu TV Wall Mount Articulating Arm Monitor Bracket for most 12"-24", some up to 27" LCD LED Plasma Flat Panel Screen TV with VESA 100/75mm ML10B 1E9 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ID7QNI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_YBwxAb47PXFA3 Finish with some nuts and bolts.

  19. Finally got around to building 70615 Fire Mech. For me it was a must-buy since I saw the first picture of it leaking. So I really was anticipating the build. To make it short: the set didn't disappoint, in fact it's awesome. The mech is quite big, definitely not feeling small at all. The poseability is good enough for my liking. The only critique I have would be the amount of stickers in the set, especially a few larger ones which are more difficult to apply in my opinion. For the picture I mixed in some 70607 Ninjago City Chase as background scenery, and left a few selected minifigs out.

  25. After not being able to find a 75149 Resistance X-Wing Fighter around me on clearance or on this site I bought one on BL. As it turns out the seller lives 25-30 miles from me and offered local pick-up. This is a small win for me because of not having to pay RRP/MSRP and no shipping charges. Still dreaming about one for $30 at Walmart...Nothing but phantom stock and no The Phantoms on sale either.

  28. No, they aren't as confirmed by two guys from S&H. The most returned sets are not in the condition for reselling. Even a tiny mark on the box does exclude it from reselling. What I can imagine is that there could be some existing stock at S&H which is currently on hold due to unpaid invoices. Also my order with 10 Falcons is still on hold and has been not cancelled so far..

  29. I think the problem is that once you've built the UCS version of a particular set, the regular ones just don't cut it anymore.

  39. 1x 60083 Snowplow Truck Amazon FBA for $53. This was my first buy for "investing" two years ago. I'd been reading the forums for awhile and I thought it was a cool set, and I remember seeing @exciter1 (who, after my reading, appeared to basically be a LEGO deity) post about it being available at Toys R US, so I took the plunge. It was also my first ill advised purchase as I got it for a total of about $18.50 with taxes. I bought a couple more for cheaper not long after, and then fellow BPers bought a lot more for a lot cheaper after that. I realized I didn't know as much as I thought, and learned a great lesson in the process. Thanks for the all you taught me Snowplow Truck, may you enjoy your new home...

  40. I've had BB8 built for a while now, but i finally finished up "rounding" or "anti-studding" him to better match my rounded dome R2. Didn't turn out as well as R2, but still happy with it. Mostly involved adding small tiles everywhere, but in some cases i did need to take the panels off and modify them a bit to hide some of the bigger studded pieces.

  42. They have probably made more models of T1 than the real thing. That is certainly true with Tower Bridge!

  43. IMO you should store them in decent thick cardboard boxes. Plastic doesnt let it breath at all. If the garage is well ventilated and you cover the boxes with sheets thats all you need. Tissue paper between each is fine just so they dont stick. just slide it between each dont tape it or anything. Seal outer box and your good. If you get the ones with tops that easily come off, what I use, makes it easy.
