Yea, I also saw that memo - "Anyone who doesn't like the Last Jedi is sexist, and racist".6 points

Stolen from EB, who stole it from the Brick Show: Here are descriptions/names for all 17 of the coming LEGO Series 18 minifigures. One cool thing to mention, all of these come on an orange baseplate, not black as they typically do. Red Suit Brick Guy – in a red 4×2 brick, holding a blue 1×1. Police Officer – old LEGO style, exactly like the one in LEGO set 600. He’s holding a printed 1×2 tile picturing LEGO set 600. Elephant Suit Girl – female wearing elephant suit, with a pink tutu and holding a mouse. Rocket/Firework Guy – male wearing a rocket/firework that is blue, top of firework is red and his pants are dark grey. Star/explosion printing all over in yellow. Red Dragon Suit Guy – cool looking red dragon suit with black spikes on his tail and horns. Red wings attach to the back. Your going to love the head mold, the dragon looks tough. Birthday Cake Guy – guy in a birthday cake wearing a light blue suit, gold hat and bow-tie. Pink icing splattered print on his torso. No legs, all cake. Race Car Guy – guy wearing a blue and white racers outfit as a molded red race car is attached between his torso and legs. Pretty cool look. Race car has a white fin and some printing on it. Flower Girl – girl dressed as a dark pink flower. New mold that fits over her head with face coming through the middle of the flower. Green torso to match coloring of the stem. No legs, she attaches to a clay flower pot. Blue Brick Girl – in a blue 4×2 brick, holding a red 1×1. Blue Unicorn Knight – male dressed as a blue unicorn. lol. Comes holding a gold sword and a white shield with a white unicorn printed on it. Orange Balloon LEGO Fan Boy – not a costume at all. Boy with short legs, green glasses. His torso is white but printed with light blue minifigure heads and a multi-color tie. He comes with an orange balloon and 2 LEGO Series 1 minifigure pack printed 1×1 tiles. Also comes with a printed birthday present. This one is going to be easy to feel for with all these accessories. He is wearing shorts using a multi-tone colored legs. Spider Suit Guy – could actually be female, can’t tell. All black suite with white spider web printing on torso.Head mold has 4 molded and printed spider eyes on top of head. Also two fangs colored dark grey molded into head piece. Comes holding a black spider and an eight-legged mold attaches to back of figure. Purple Balloon Girl – the compliment to the Orange Balloon LEGO Fan Boy. However, this girl doesn’t like LEGO. Here torso printing is just multi-color square on a white shirt. She is wearing light blue shorts using a multi-tone colored legs. Wearing a purple birthday hat. Accessories are a purple balloon, donut, cookie and a birthday gift. Cactus Girl – girl wearing a new molded cactus piece. The arms on the torso are also new, as they look like an extension to the cactus with no hands. Green legs. Cowboy Suit Guy – Cowboy with white hat. A horse attaches between his legs and torso so it looks like he is riding on a horse. Horse mold does no carry through to the back. Brown legs. Balloon Artist Clown – Fun clown! Wearing a light green top-hat with a purple flower printed on it. Orange and purple torso printed vest. Orange coattails attach to his legs and carry about an inch off of him in the back. Red bow-tie attaches to his neck. Light green legs to match his top-hat. The best part is he comes holding balloons that he has twisted into dogs. Cat Suit Guy/Girl – I cannot tell if this is male or female. Looks almost exactly like Slyvester the Cat. Comes holding a blue fish.5 points

Here's pictures of the upcoming sets. Overall, I like these better than the last jedi... http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/LEGO_First_Solo_Set_Pics_178195.asp5 points

We didn't have Netflix and the amount of content back then. We'd watch Mary Poppins, Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, The Sound of Music, Battlestar Galactica, and Star Wars on any given night. Oh, and Wide World of Sports.4 points

Ah to be a child again and not give a crap about any of the technicalities, plot holes, inconsistancies and pre conceived ideas of what Star Wars should be.3 points

I’m working on a moc of the cantina scene using parts from 2 of 75052 and 1 of the recently released 75205. Still gotta add some more tables and then populate with aliens and whatnot. Im no expert moc man. I borrowed the design from someone off Facebook. Still toying around. Suggestions are welcome!3 points

Yeah! Egghead is here! Decided to jump on a price match to Walmart and used a 20% off gift card, so Egghead was $19.20. I had to build him before@Alpinemaps had the chance, so here he is. Cool set and Condiment King is a nice bonus.3 points

More bullish than ever on this set. Nice to see you working on that New Years Resolution.3 points

75173 Luke's Landspeeder is such a hot seller that it is important that 2 more be on the market. How could it possibly fail? I'm excited for them release "Mos Eisley Cantina Parking Garage" - Overflow parking for all your landspeeders!3 points

Pretty much all the recent city sets are places that have had terror attacks, I guess if it happens after release they don´t do anything. They´ll wait 6-9 months and put it out in the summer.2 points

You've all convinced me - Star Wars is mostly just random nonsense. At least we still have Santa.2 points

So you are angry that they were being consistent with ep V, I, & Clone Wars series ???? Heck even Krennic parked his shuttle far away from Erso's farm2 points

Ding ding ding. Although in my case I am mostly excited just to get sets to build at retail. My 9 year old and I are stoked for these, just finishing up book 7 right now.2 points

I guess I never noticed before but it’s a relief to know there are other Brickpickers who think Disney’s Star Wars is trash. Star Wars has been all downhill for me since Disney took over and its my favorite series. I wish they would have ruined some other classic series no one cares about.1 point

Just read a rather interesting rumour... The upcoming 2018 trains will get Bluetooth sensors instead of an infra read receiver, which will allow for controlling through mobile phone or tablet in a similar vein as with Lego Boost !1 point

In Ep5 did the imperial army wait to blow the door open on Hoth no they went in there and F***ed the rebels up thats why EP8 is so dissapointing as the FO just is not as good a villan as the empire or seperatists who for all the armies flaws had competent commanders like Tarkin. To that point why can they not fly in after the blast or do they really care about their salt troopers?1 point

Same here. My wife will love them, my kids eventually will (5 and 2 now). The Hogwarts and Great Hall are likely day 1 purchases for me.1 point

They've been trying to switch to a may schedule since Rogue 1 if i remember correctly, they just keep getting release delays. From a selling toys point of view, May makes more sense than mid December. Increased toy sales during a quiet period and through summer holidays. Then kick the DVD out at Christmas to reignite interest and sell second wave toys. Plus people have less going on in their calendars in May.1 point

Prices leaked: 75207 Imperial Patrol Battle Pack 14.99€75209 Han Solo Landspeeder 29.99 €75210 Landspeeder 49.99 €75211 Imperial TIE Fighter 69.99 €75212 Kessel Run Millennium Falcon 169.99 €75535 Buildable Han Solo 24.99$75536 Buildable ? 24.99$41608 BrickHeadz Han Solo 9.99 €41609 BrickHeadz Chewbacca 9.99 € So ... If the new MF costs a whopping €170 in Germany, it will be most likely €180 - €185 in many other EU countries (NL/BE/Spain). Yeah the Trade Federation was so polite, by the time their droids were halfway to Naboo capital, Obi Wan and Quigon were able to go to the underwater city, argue with Gungan king, travel to the capital, and save the queen. Oh and the peaceful Gungan were able to assemble their army and weapons, plus deploying them to a field to meet the droids1 point

Chewbacca is in the MF. Looks like it's Kira, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Lando. The other looks like it's the one called "Mother Proxima". Overall, this is a set i'd wait to buy when it's on discount, and I'm not sure i'd open to build. It's one you just hold...especially if you have one of the previous past two falcons (which we do).. The speeders look pretty cool to me, and I also like the look of the range troopers. They are kinda in the same vein with the Imperial troopers in Rogue One with the Scarif and Death Troopers. Overall, these sets aren't bad, IMO. The sets with the landspeeders also look fun. The Tie fighter is one of those sets I know i'll end up eventually caving in and buying. It's a definite upgrade over the 2012 version (don't remember the set number). It also looks like it has some interesting minifigures, although one looks Captain Phasmaish... Overall, I like this theme. I thought the initial Rogue One launch with 5 sets was also good (looking back, those sets stand out a little more as time goes on)... The 2 Last Jedi waves are fairly boring, and the movie makes them even more dull, so these are at least a step above that.1 point

I think they will do as "well" as the movie. There is clear evidence of SW burnout with all the remakes still shelf warming after Xmas - even BB8 is easy to find. These will just get lost in the spring apathy season. Anyone still holding TIE playsets will want to sell, of course.1 point

Cough, accchhh, aphlegm......The problem here is that the first 2 did not look like Mary Poppins with bad CGI when done. Ptoo1 point

I'm putting my remake rage on hold for the moment due to the D2C. Depending on how that turns out I can look the other way on these remakes. If the D2C is underwhelming I will be much more upset. Hard to be more angry than usual about remakes these days though considering it is the only thing Lego knows how to do. At this point I just expect old stuff with 50 extra studs and a price point $20-30 more expensive.1 point

Sigh... 1. Are you an expert on The Force? If so, I bow to your knowledge. You either buy the logic of the Star Wars universe or you don't. Just look at what Anakin was able to do in Episode 1 (pod racing, star ship fighting, etc). It was clearly established BEFORE she handled the lightsaber that awakened The Force in her that she was adept in hand to hand combat. She wasn't a farmboy like Luke. She was a scavenger living on her own for some time. 2. As the movie mentions, the Resistance fleet is too far out of range for Tie Fighters to succesfully chase them. They are too close for them to jump in front of. You either buy the explanation or you don't. Hey, by the way, how do you feel about sound in space battles? 4. There was never an official statement from Disney or LucasFilm re: Snoke. Andy Serkis mentioned in an interview the following: "When asked if his character is more powerful than Darth Vader and the Emperor, Serkis said: “Oh, without question. He has limitless resources, let’s put it that way.”" Doesn't seem like it really answers anything and it certainly isn't canon. 5. It seems like you missed the entire point of Finn's purpose in the film. In TFA and the beginning of TLJ, Finn was only looking out for himself and Rey. He had no investment in the Resistance. He only went to Starkiller to save Rey. He was JUMPING SHIP to go find a place for him and Rey to rendezvous away from the Resistance fleet. The whole purpose of going to Canto Bight and failing on the Supremacy was so that he could learn that there was more to the universe than just him and Rey. I refer you to the fight with Phasma where he calls himself "Rebel Scum" and the ensuing battle on Crait where he is willing to sacrifice himself (albeit stupidly as Rose and Poe call out). 8. Believe what you want about Mark Hamill. I don't care. I think a lot of people are hung up on the fact that these movies are not about the OT characters. They are primarily focused on Kylo (Ben) and Rey, and to a slightly lesser extent Finn, and Poe. Han, Luke, and Leia are there as a bridge but they are no longer the focus. Believe me, I wish we could have had something in the late 80s or early 90s exploring the early years after the destruction of the second Death Star (even just a straight up adaptation of the Thrawn Trilogy) but we lost that chance years ago. Harrison Ford wanted to move on and we were lucky we got him at all for Force Awakens. I agree that Han and Luke could have been used better, but again, this was all set up by JJ and his writing partnets off of notes from George Lucas (read the Art of books for both films to see how much of George's blueprint is still on the screen).1 point

I’m just saying the whole complaining about the fuel situation and being able to track people through hyperspace is tiresome and old. The entire galaxy that these films are made off of is fictional so how can anyone know what is realistic and what isn’t? Do you own a gigantic spaceship that flys through space? If so what kind of fuel does it burn and what kinda MPG does it get? These films were primarily made to entertain children and adults alike and expand our imaginations. Children enjoy them for what they are meanwhile a good chunk of the self entitled adult base thinks they know what is realistic in a 100% fictional galaxy and what isn’t. Instead of nit picking every little plot point that you don’t agree with just enjoy it for what it is. Be thankful that we have anything to watch at this point. If George was still steering the ship we’d prolly only have an animated show on CN at best.1 point

Well, the fans pissed by Last jedi are not butthurted, because there were unexpected changes. They are pissed because, the plot o the movie is **** and the everything happening on screen does nto make sense: 1) Rey as a character is a wonder kid. She defeats Kylo, she defeats Pretorian guard, she even beats Luke! With zero training. She can use the force and do everything right without any effort. When there is no risk and no cost in doing it, it is boring. 2) The whole plot with chasing rebel fleet is bullshit. They could jump out of hyperspace from another side, so they could screw the fleet between two destroyers. Or they could deploy TIE squadron to shoot them down. 3) First Order is weak. They are just a bunch of idiots unable to use the power properly. Where are unbeatable characters like Vader, Thrawn, Tarkin etc. 4) Snoke / Kylo story is too weak. The whole killing point is too vague and too fragile to be successful, or Snoke is far weaker than Emperor and vader was. 5) If Poe was told about the escape plan (why he was not, I do not understand), than he would not plan to send finn and rose to that casino planet and that would not result than into pointless killing of escape pods. 6) Battle on Crait is again military ****. Why the **** those AT-MT gorillas did not shoot down Finns speeder? How Rose managed to get back in time to save Finn, why she was trying to save him in the first place when this would kill even more people and finally, why the were not shoot donw by troops/tanks when they crashed down? 7) What is the opening point for eiposode IX? The movie felt like final episode, not the middle one, there is no open plot. And finally, the issue I personally have with the movie: The disgrace they made to Luke Skywalker and mainly to Mark Hamill himslef.Everyone knows, that Carrie was using drugs and being little bit crazy and that Harrison did not like star wars fans at all. But Mark Hamill was always the one visiting cons, speaking to fans, loving the universe they created 40 years ago. Then he was lured into this bullshit movie, he naturally could not say no to playing in it (because whole world would hate him) and then he was forced to play his life-defining character in a way, which he was not comfortable with, he did not like and he did not approve and understand. And he even did not receive any dignity in death on screen. He jsut passed away like some tired old hermit. That was ******* worst thing I ever seen on screen, noone deserves this. He warned us several times, that this movie is **** even he does not like, we should listen and never watch.1 point

I think these large sets are all dropshipped. Maybe TRU might have a display.1 point

If Disney wants to watch the Star Wars brand go up in smoke, then having a bad Solo film follow a divisive Last Jedi will set the ball rolling. I disliked the Last Jedi and have pretty much written off episode 9 and anything Rian Johnson touches, so where is it heading? It’s not looking good. Rogue One might be the only real bright spot.1 point

Well, I think you're out of luck. These sets look to be the Seasonal 2018 sets: Bee (Valentine) Bunny (Easter) Witch (Halloween) Turkey (Thanksgiving) Mr. Claus (Christmas seasonal 1) Mrs. Claus (Christmas seasonal 2) And unlike the pretty awesome 2017 Seasonals (which I should've bought more of!) I think I'm going to skip these.1 point

Here's3of the things I've done most recently, Mustafar Duel, Scarif Beach and Blue Squadron X-Wing. Mustafar came about because I had a bit of time on a Saturday morning and just started grabbing stuff from my LEGO bin. Scarif was me throwing every plant and tan plate I found into a bin and then trying to figure out what to do with it. The Blue X-Wing was because it wasn't terribly interesting to have 2 red X-Wings, so I wanted a bit of variety.1 point

Indeed, it sucked! For the form I did do the daily build, but it was pitiful and weak. What a let down after the absolute terrific offering of Christmas 2015 (the little Christmas train and the Gingerbread House) !1 point
