Stopover on the way to Orlando at a Target in Southern Tennessee landed me 1x70601 Ninjago Sky Shark. Wasn't giving a price on any of the scanners (wall-mount, employee, register). Guys at electronics said it was scrapped merchandise and I wouldn't be able to buy it, but the lady at CS found an online price and managed to print an "Online Item" 30% off sticker to make my purchase price $11 (website price was $16.49, RRP $19.99). Set is down to last 5 sellers on Amazon, with only 1 FBA for $60 so score!6 points

Amazon gave them free Lego then helped them sell it at extortionate prices then lost the items and blamed the sellers,5 points

I’ve learnt from last year this is a great time to be regularly visiting your usual Lego stores since this is when end of year inventory is done in preparation for new stock and you can get an odd gem that appears which someone forgot to put out on the floor in the Xmas rush. Also helps to be nice and ask staff to check out in the back. Hence why I ended up with 4 x 41179’s as opposed to just the one that was on the shelf. Although I do regret not loading up on these about 6 weeks ago at TRU when they were doing their 20% off, given that they are now doing about 2 x RRP already. But can’t complain with my four, although my daughter has already eyed it up along with the Water Dragons that I also manage to snag. Will need to ensure that these are stored away properly!2 points

Nope...I picked up my 75192 sept 26th and also got the e-mail about November..then called customer service and was told "your card is being printed in Germany and should arrive before dec 25th"...and...Nnnope! i was also told that if it didn't arrive by the new year to call lego again and just got off the phone...and was told to continue to wait but that they'd print another card anyways....that second card is expected by the end of February Meanwhile....at the first sign of a Card in my mailbox I was instructed to call lego back to confirm...so I'm guessing however this plays out I'm getting two printed numbered cards with my Vip number on it as well...so who knows?...maybe they'll deactivate one card...or maybe it doesn't matter.2 points

They are pretty cheap on EBay. I think I got mine for $60 and I added a $15 set to use the $15 off $75 coupon a few weeks back.2 points

I wasn't overly keen with what they did with Luke in this movie, but I had far greater concerns about the tone, humour, pacing, plot, characterisation and dialogue, to be honest. Based on the three Disney SW movies released thus far, I'm of the opinion that JJ Abrams and Gareth Edwards had a far better handle on the "magic ingredients" needed for a movie to feel like it belongs in the Star Wars galaxy. I'll go out on a limb and say that the Solo movie will feel more like Star Wars too, which would leave TLJ as the outlier. This might have made sense for a standalone movie, or even a separate trilogy, but seems a bit thoughtless for the eighth episode of a nine episode saga, or even just the middle part of this sequel trilogy.1 point

Here´s a list to build on in order to sum up the most important events in the market and on the forum this year. Feel free to add any I missed. It´s in no particular order. UCS Falcon and Saturn V release and supply drama. Lego Group poorer financial results and change of CEO / laying off of staff. @TabbyBoy returning to the game (and leaving and returning). New themes such as Brickheadz, Pirates of the Caribbean (return), Super Hero Girls. Continued trend to wards bigger and more expensive D2C sets. Amazon gating and increase in scams. Facebook Marketplace consolidation. Chinese clone consolidation with paid MOC designs, Lego re-release of Taj Mahal. Gingerbread House and the power of professional influencers to create demand. Assemby Square anniversary modular. Death of Dimensions. Deep discounts and oversupply. TRU slow death.1 point

BrickHeadz. A bit like Marmite. Some love them, others hate them. But majority seem to hate them. Poor attempt by Lego to tap into the Funko Pop market.1 point

That table is perfectly elegant and the final product is one of the best I have seen for a falcon display. Did u use blind mortise and tenon or dominos for the joinery. Was the custom different sized pieces of glass expensive to have made? Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Thats what I was talking in lenght about }CZ Kladno) .. there are cca 2200 ppl working nowadays, each entitlted to cca 1.000 GBP credit per year from which they can purchase in the factory shop ANYTHING.. ANY SET that is there - being it exclusive or standard City for just 50 % .. .. so if everybody was to use this incentive in full, given the math. it would be 2.2 mllion GBP discounted on exclusives each year.. to my knowledge not everybody is doing that and not everyone up to max, but I guess 60 % of the ppl have a great business1 point
