Avengers Helicarrier with box, but without instructions in amazing condition (actually dust free, go figure) for $115 on craigslist. Death Star, about 98% complete with box and instructions (missing Tarkin and Emperor, and some misc small pieces) for $100 on craigslist. 1/4 inch of dust thrown in for free.4 points

I decided to go back this evening to watch the late show in a mostly empty theatre. And I must say, the luster of the first viewing had worn off, and if this film doesnt' win a raspberry then something is wrong. It's terrible. And the second viewing reminded me of when I went back to see the Phantom Menace a second time, because I thought maybe I was delusional from not really completely enjoying my first viewing. This film is bad.4 points

This may be the first time I have almost 100% agreed with you. The longer I think about it the less I like it. Not to say there weren’t decent parts, but as a whole it just sucked.3 points

Watched it in Real3D yesterday with the family. Thoroughly enjoyed it, as in: 1. It wasn't predictable (some interesting twists) 2. Tons of battles and explosions 3. Some nice little jokes, such as Luke's shoulder swipe SW has always had lots of things in it where you think "why did they do this if they had all this technology". I'm not a fanboy, so my expectations are realistic - fun, wholesome entertainment, and don't overthink it because you'll find more holes in it than in a block of Swiss cheese .....3 points

Seeing a lot of posts here from people that heard things here and there. Most of your sources are from journalists and in most cases they are not really up to understanding the technology. It is easy to be jubilant or pessimistic about blockchain, but you can only really make a judgement if you know what it really is. I have been in the space since 2013 and I have formed the following opinion: Blockchain technology will be the technology that replaces the internet as the main technology to transfer our most valuable resource: information. Everything will eventually run on this decentralized network of nodes that offers much more security than all these lonely servers and "clouds". Bitcoin is the first proof-of-concept of using a digital currency to incentiveze people to contribute to create the largest crowd computing network ever. Bitcoin will not be a currency (mean of exchange), but will be a great way to store large amounts of value. Means of exchange coins will be coins like Litecoin that are fast and secure. The next type of internet will be run on blockchain application platforms like Ethereum and Lisk. Investing without knowledge is madness. There are tons of projects in the space that are promising (I'm not going to give advice), but many have no solid business case. The ones that succeed will be even more profitable as an investment than buying Google or Amazon after their IPO. MONEY: There is a huge redistribution of money towards new groups of people by people with old money that try to buy a share in this new space. I have started in 2013 with an investment of $250 and do not have to work anymore. The best article on the future of blockchain is this article, I think: https://hackernoon.com/what-will-bitcoin-look-like-in-twenty-years-7e75481a798c?source=user_profile---------7----------------3 points

As others have said, "customer damaged" is very common. I think I've got maybe 8 items in Unfulfillable right now as "customer damaged". You'll have to manually request them to be removed and sent to you, pay some minor fees to do so. The status of these items once received really varies. As others said, a good chunk of the time, they're totally fine and they just get re-stickered and sent back in. Other times, well, they look like the attached image -- and you might have some luck getting them reimbursed but it's tough. Generally, I just chalk them up as a loss and hawk opened sets on eBay, sets that no longer have a box and are missing parts go into our own personal parts inventory, or find some other use for them. It sucks, but it's a cost of doing business. Most importantly: if you're going to send them back in, be really sure they haven't been opened, parts replaced with something "similar" and "resealed".2 points

So glad it arrived in time and in nice shape! Thank you for the deal and for helping me thin the herd. Also managed to ship a 31 pound box to another BP'r in Atlanta that arrived safe & sound. In retrospect, I should have done two 15 pound boxes, but I love a challenge! Thanks to all that have purchased!2 points

You consider Finn and Rose romantic? They acted like fifth graders with each other. There was more romance between Finn and Poe in TFA.2 points

4 hours ago, superheat said: Kylo Ren Tie Figther (75179) from Target. Price matched Toys R Us online, for $39.99, final price $37.99 plus tax (50% off, plus Redcard 5%). What a strange world...In a year we went from PMing TO TRU to PMing FROM TRU.2 points

Greetings all, So in 2011 I started hoarding Lego... not bulk sets, but I had an obsession with buying one of each. This year I realized how much I had been spending and had to cut it off and start cleaning it out. I had no idea how much the stuff was going to rise in value and I started with the most valuable sets and cleared out my 50 per month on eBay without having to pay any listing fees. I got tired of being that chick who had two full rooms in her house loaded with bags of Lego sets. I've never hoarded anything else, but for some reason I started buying Lego sets. I was able to go cold turkey thankfully starting January 1, 2017, and just want to clear them out. I have a few tax questions that I posted in another thread that is awaiting approval. Nice to meet everyone1 point

It's funny you mention "the phantom menace" episode 1... i too had Flashbacks to that horrible time I walked out of the theater and flat out lied to the channel 6 news crew interviewing peeps and said, "...it was a good Flick..." total lie then, and now it's repeated itself...I think the whole deal that this film to us 'Star Wars die hards' is that we don't want it to fail, we want it to be great, but what we got was an editing nightmare with mediolcre clone war lore integrated into a moshpit of half baked storylines that basically killed a near perfect setup from episode 7, destroyed iconic Long time characters(Luke), and sold out to Cash in on "porG" sales.... i did think the the movie was well directed as far as the cinematic shots and scenes go...but whatever happened in the editing after that I'm sure they were all smoking Bantha Fodder and green Intant Muffins...1 point

This movie was overhyped. It's basically Captain America 2.0, except the villain is terrible and the hero is a lady.1 point

4x4 Crawler is not a turd. It is a nice set and if your buy-in was low enough there is still enough flesh on the bone for a week of groceries.1 point

That´s a brilliant idea to combine two turds from different themes and sell them together! Someone´s Xmas has to be incomplete without an Imperial Hotel + Piggy Pirate Ship combo.1 point

Finally sold my last 75049 Snowspeeder (2014 set, retired December 2015). Bought late 2015 for €40 when I knew it was retiring and expected it to go up with the AT-AT hype, or maybe people wanting it to add to the Assault on Hoth set as additional Snowspeeder. Demand for it never grew, so I'm glad I got rid of it now for €58.1 point

will be a decent investment prospect if they dont keep discounting it too much and too often, builders like it.1 point

Love this set for personal build, I'm trying not to buy it until I know it's retiring soon. https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/lego-and-bricks/lego-specials/lego-21310-ideas-old-fishing-store/p/1623221 point

This is one of the reasons why Lego don´t normally offer discounts (I think it was discussed a few weeks ago). Their generous returns policy is open to abuse and ends up costing them money because they pay for the return of the first order and they outbound shipment of the replacement and the original orders (if over the minimum for free shipping) and they have the stock issue to balance too. People buying with a view to reselling count every penny and for sure they will be inundated with returns if the Brickheadz (or other hard to find items) go on sale next week at 30% off - or indeed make it to 50% off within 90 days of buying. I only ever made a return because this happened to me, but I didn´t reorder the items as by that stage they were clearly turds. I think it happened a lot with Doctor Who and a couple of other sets that were jumping in and out of stock when they got to 50% off. For them, it´s better to offer 2xVIP to encourage future purchases.1 point

speaking as a customer not some B2B partner: my problem. I still dont see that would qualify me for any rrefund or something. It would probably have to do a lot with a difference iin our shopping cultures. Western countries are used to "price match" scenario but its not customary here. I bought several sets in local toychains like two weeks ago - for a great discount, I guess around 45 % - they just discounted it on Friday for a couple of % more. So I take it like it was my decision and perhaps I could wait a bit - or not because it could sell out and this extra small discount doesnt matter anyway1 point

The SW ones are cheaper right now and these will soon be available everywhere so it looks like we got played. Does damaged pride count as a reason to return?1 point

I picked up a like new Saturn V for $77. It came in the shipping container that had some old shipping labels on the outside and inside was a mint set. Picked up a like new Minecraft Jungle Tree House for $48, slight creases on one edge but otherwise excellent shape. Picked up a good Minecraft Snow Hideout for $20, still had a small patch of wrapping paper on it and some of the box had peeled off, but was in good shape. It seems they’re trying to clear out the warehouse for all the returns that will be coming.1 point

Also, if you use the comingled inventory system, most likely, you won't get back the item you sent in regardless. You'll get any of said item that was marked as damaged. Fee is $1 per item I believe unless they changed it. Basically, anything OTHER than Warehouse damaged you do not get reimbursed for. Just have to chalk it up as "loss" like any retailer would. What you do with it obviously can vary, I've gotten "damaged" items that were completely unopened which I've been able to instantly send right back in, and I've gotten ones that clearly had items taken out, and I've gotten ones that just had crushed boxes. It all varies. I usually just verify my returns are complete, and if they are I list them as collectible and try to sell them again discounted.1 point

Hit a BAM BOGO50 sale today. Word to those still shopping, process separate transactions for every two sets. The system (at least at my store) picked the cheapest half of sets to ring up at 50% off, and then prorated the discount among all of the sets. So I had to go back and rerun the whole thing. As a bonus I got a small additional discount for the inconvenience, so my prices aren't necessarily generally available for all sets. Also, if you see any Sky High Battle 76046, pick it up. Mine rang up as $.02 which means it should have been removed from the floor, so they price adjusted to $1 and sold both to me. 2x Rapunzel 41065 $12 6x Louvre 21024 $34 2x NYC Skyline 21028 $35 3x Berlin Skyline 21026 $16 3x Venice Skyline 21027 $16 2x Milano 76081 $27 2x NRG 70593 $30 3x Ariel Carriage 10723 $9 2x Avenjet Space 76049 $35 2x Airshow Aces 31060 $12 1x Foal Washing 41123 $6 2x Minecraft Mushroom 21129 $131 point

I have the least issue with how they handled Luke in VIII. Do I wish he would have left the island to join in the adventure, sure. The rest of the film is what I have the most issue with. Basing the main plot around a cruiser being stuck and safe from an Imperial bombardment was one of the dumbest decisions in the franchise.1 point
