I bought 9 Star Wars minifigs for $29 for my personal collection., including Jek-14. One of the troopers seems be leaning, maybe as a result of being brought home in the cold or too much eggnog. They will go well with my other minfigs, including the interlopers - punk rock guitar guy and gamer guy. I met a father and his two kids at a Walmart to get them, and the son was very happy to get his $29 Christmas bonus. Since I was there I decided to do some shopping and a much to my surprise I found a SNES Classic for $79 in the electronics department! Even the cashier at the checkout asked me where I got it...3 points

Hamley's, the famous toy store on Regent Street in London, now has its own exclusive minifigure, a royal guard. It's similar to the one in collectable minifigures series 5, 8805 Royal Guard, but with a happier expression and a couple of medals on its chest. It's thought it'll retail for £6.3 points

I would shove those sets right up Mr. Lanky's arse if he tried that stunt on me...LOL2 points

I've witnessed funny as hell situation in Leicester Lego Store about 2 weeks ago. Lanky Lego Store employee with some weird af moustache rushed out of nowhere towards the store supervisor pointing at some Asian guy who was about to buy 5x Lego London Bus (the small one) noticing him with <quote>: "reseller! this guy is a reseller!!" my cringe level was out of the charts. the supervisor moved immediately towards the Asian guy but he changed his mind just about 2 meters being away from him just to see how it's gonna develop further.2 points

Short term LEGO is not getting hurt. Long term, the brand will hurt if the sales continue on. The market is telling screaming NOT to pay retail price for LEGO because retailers will slash them with 20-50% off every couple of weeks. Plus the remakes that is happening over the last couple years, all the little things will start to compound.1 point

This is usually from too much use of the search box. Especially if you were checking store inventory through zip code lookups. Mostly an anti-bot, anti-DDoS feature and it's temporary.1 point

So here’s what I got at the Barnes and Noble madness since I didn’t see it get posted and after membership discount and a lot of searching. I saw a few other sets my store didn’t have ended up to be an odd mix of leftovers from the previous sales for the 50% plus as mentioned all Batman movie and Star Wars at 30%. I’m buying mostly for myself here. Ugly Vampire x3 -$4ea (parts) Nexo Ruina $8 Nexo Macy set small $6 Super Hero High School $32 SW Micro fighters $5.60 TBM Scarecrow small set $8.4 TBM Big Batwing $50 and change Random superhero girl sets half off like the bumblee set, random nexo and seemingly on the red and white nexo suits half off in my area. Would love to hear if anyone foumd any other types of sets.1 point

Used GG's are going for ~$450 on eBay, and I figure I could sell the rest of the lot for $100-$150, so maybe $550 total. I needed the GG to complete my modular collection (I had previously bricklink'ed a sand blue grocer), and was excited to pick one up cheap!1 point

I have that exact red case!! I’ve had it since I was a kid!! So cool to see it here!! How much would that be worth anyway? Nice pickup!!1 point

I loved the movie. Maybe my favorite. Action packed. Cool scenes. Funny. Awesome ships. Had low expectations, yet it entertained me the whole way. It felt very much like a STAR WARS movie. It paid homage to many of the earlier movies, but it felt right. I just didn't like Snokes animation or C-3POs voice.1 point

my buy in on spaceports was $19. I consider $140 a good deal for myself, the $40 or so ones will do just fine for a 6 month or so hold. it isn't just the profit, it is CAGR baby also selling the fishing boats for $220 previously mentioned (sub $60 buy in), but was waiting to sell through before mentioning anything. I also consider this a good deal. I have plenty of other sets that need some time to marinate before they get mailed off1 point

Sold my last 10210 Imperial Flagship for $730. It took all year and prior to the counterfeit version I was selling these for $850 easily.1 point

you forgot about additional storage fees which specifically increase around the holiday season. amazon doesn't let your park stuff in their warehouse for free. coming up with a selling price is multifactorial equation which includes buyin that you can never fully know what your competition buyin was , understanding that the sales volume is here now and that you could sell 10x your sales volume if you are able to compete on price, not when your price gets here and that after the holiday season, most overstocked sets on amazon take a price hit even further than what they are going for now when there is drop in sales volume/demand that won't recover until tax refund season and people need to move inventory so they don't lose profit to storage fees as well as have cash on hand for after holiday clearance. 86 sellers on raptor rampage - that equals too much price competition. still the price has risen 20-25% in the last 3 months because of great demand. 106 sellers on 75094 - too much competition to expect any price increase. seller count was in the low 90s back in september. look at juniors police helicopter chase - a set that was clearanced for $5 back in may at walmart.com 50% off msrp - i posted it in daily deals. now only 8 7 sellers (dropped as i wrote this) under the main listing on FBA. i can't keep them in stock - they sell instantly for buybox which is $29.99. 6x my buyin with so few sellers of a set that has a high sales rank, then you can set your price and sit back. not so much with more than 6 dozen or over a hundred sellers with a relatively lower sales rank set. there you have to compete on price to make a sale. the price on this set literally rose by $10 while i was editing this - now only fba seller is $39.88. time to send some more in.1 point

Haven't posted up here in ages. Been selling a bunch of different sets recently, but as I'm sure many are aware, Jurassic World is pretty hot right now. Moved a few I-Rex's at $250+shipping, and moving the Raptor Rampages at $90. Healthy buy-ins on these and you're comfortably hitting 100% ROI. I believe I'm sitting at 92% averaged ROI for the theme (after fees, shipping deductions etc), which is stand-out for me for a 1 year hold. All sets purchased Black Friday weekend 2016. Bumped my last I-Rex to $295 and it has quite a bit of activity on the listing. All CAD currency, prices before [buyer paid] shipping costs.1 point
