UCS MF yesterday in store. I sacrificed the double decker bus and the double points because I didn’t want to risk losing out on the special Vip card, and of course this beautiful set. Good news is I called Lego customer service and just asked if they can award me my double points from my purchase yesterday. After pulling upy account and confirming my purchase, the polite customer service rep understood the situation and awarded me an extra 800 points. Lego customer service is the best!!!! I didn’t want to push and ask for the free bus. I did get that wu keychain yesterday though. A win is a win.7 points

After looking through The Lego Book for what has to be the thousandth time my eyes focused on set 3221 Lego Truck from 2010 and I knew instantly I had to have it. After seeing the price it was selling for I decided to BrickLink the parts. Fortunately it only took 3 orders and cost under $40. My daughter said, “Daddy, it only real needs the Lego sticker on the cab of the truck”, so using her wisdom I did exactly that and it really does have too many Lego stickers (down the side and on the back doors) and other stickers for my liking. The minifigures are close to the originals in the actual set and inspiration struck to create an Alex minifigure from Ice Road Truckers and that is the reason for the brown hat for the driver! Maybe I should use the truck to deliver all the packages with the sets we have been selling during the Christmas season. I have sold more sets than ever recently and I hope you all are doing the same.3 points

Got my three £67 Claas Xerions from Asda, all in good condition. The boxes they use sure aren't easy to open though.3 points

Wait, so is this the third different nutcracker in the last year? They need to be careful not to neglect the helicopter market.2 points

Not Lego related, but Target took my “crushed” tomato order a bit too literally.2 points

At 732 pieces it should be pretty nice and substantial. Similar to when they did employee birds set right when ideas birds came out.1 point

Your account is flagged by online process for one of multiple checks. First of the initial flag for reselling. I am assuming it’s the IP check. Or credit card check. i am assuming, if you don’t have multiple accounts then it’s nothing to worry about. Just tell the cs you only want one and others were just a reaction. They would restore within 72 hours. Better to call during week days than weekend. But if you have multiple accounts and it’s because of that then make sure not to use any of the other ones. Wait until dust has settled. Otherwise each one will be flagged and all of them will be banned.1 point

Follow up point. Quick calculation: Asda: 53 out of stocks (about 40%) Tesco: 37 out of stocks (about 17%) John Lewis: 62 out of stocks (about 20%) Lego 143 out of stocks, or backorder (about 21%). I wonder if these figures support my idea that a supply glut could be over, in a general sense of course. Also worth considering that these out of stocks were achieved without any really steep discounts or obvious pricing errors.1 point

Mastermind still has some as of a couple days ago, but stock doesn't shift much on that site as I'm guessing not many people check... probably due to lack of sales. AoH and TIE are pretty good deals right now on amazon, considering them and walmart are the only 2 places that seem to have those sets. AoH is currently $222.56 + an extra 10% off for prime members, which works out to $226 after tax. TIE is currently $206.63 + an extra 10% off for prime members which works out to $210 after tax. High Speed Passenger Train is a great deal too as it's $119.50 after tax! Easy profit there for kijiji sellers like myself.1 point

You need to select your AmEx card and then select to pay with points to see it show. However, it's targeted to specific categories on Amazon, and Toys is not one.1 point

I'm holding out for better. I used the 10% RClub discount during the BOGO Black Friday sale to get things I wanted. If no one buys at 25% off they'll be more clearance stock in three weeks1 point

I tend to go for a 1 year hold on freebies, unless you're one of the first out of the gate it's just a race to the bottom.1 point

Well I bought the set a day prior to the freebie promotion and double points. I had to call customer service today to get double points but I was too embarrassed to ask for the bus. I know I still should have asked for it to be shipped to me but Oh well. Not going to push it.1 point

So for anyone looking confused... Free: the VIP, gingerbread, tree, nutcracker and 24in1 were free. Purchased: the Toy Shop, busses and Leicesters add up to £100 to get minimum spend for the VIP set. good maxing out. Leicester Square is always the best stocked for freebies and possible stacking.1 point

I politely asked my wife if I could re-buy my Christmas gift (Saturn V) from Lego SaH today to get all the Freebies, somehow I guess she was feeling generous and said yes. I added a couple Ninjago Smoochpacks to get the VIP thinger, my stocking is gonna be so stuffed! Also found a paypal offer for $10 credit in January for a $100+ purchase now. A better deal than just 5% off from Target and now I have a Saturn V to sell, I guess. Oh and I went to Kmart with my baby girl and got Friends Andrea's Duet and a Jungle Buggy Polybag with mostly points, turns out she's a big fan of polybags.1 point

was given this coupon from walmart when i picked up a site to store. asked for a couple of more and was given a small stack which i will put to good use. good for 10% off up to $20 per order. each has a unique code. then i opened the box up and there was unexpected $5 walmart gift card sitting on the ferrari's. might be worth seeing if you can get a few at the site to store if you are going by a store - ymmv.1 point

Picked up a Chicago skyline and a couple rey/kylo brickheadz combo packs at my B&M Lego store. Got the Wu keychain and 40220 Mini London Bus promos. For anyone wondering, that's a fresh run of London Buses. 27R7 seal for me.1 point

For me this set continues to disappoint. It has to be the worst performance to expectations (in my mind) ROI. Prices continue to drop this holiday season from $325 to $270 Ebay USA with very few sales recorded as all the "better then gold" crew continue to try and unload their stock. Amazon has 6 sellers with 57 units at lowest FBA $319 and rank 50% worse then ToO. They take up too much space collect dust and even the scammers don't want them. At least with Nexo my buy in was 70% off or better and there were no expectations.1 point

Triple freebies at LEGO Shop at Home with purchases of 125 CAD!! London bus 40220, VIP set 40178 and... and... and a keychain! Oh, and the Saturn V is in stock.1 point

After 2 hours with customer service trying to find what happened to my Palace Cinema (88 dollar cyber monday deal). They determined that it was forever lost. And out of stock. They escalated me to level 2 then level 3 customer service. In the end, got left with a refund of cash plus 100 dollar courtesy credit for me to spend to get a brick bank or anything else I want to get from their amazon prime line up. Not bad.1 point

OK so after spending a fair amount of time on these forums I've come to the conclusion that whilst I love Lego, reselling it isn't for me. My wife and I started a reselling business (part-time) to help increase our income and we've been selling all sorts of stock from Boot sales, Facebook Marketplace, Charity Shops and our own personal items. I wanted to branch out into other areas, Lego was appealing to me because I loved it as a kid and I like the idea of investing on something for the future. The thing is, why would we invest our money into something which after 2 years might give us a 100% profit, when every £1 we're putting into our current reselling business is on average giving us £2 back and usually within 30 days. Our reselling business is a lot more work but I'm not patient enough to sit on £500 of Lego for two years and to slowly build up a level of stock without knowing if this is going to be profitable or not. I've cancelled my Asda order from yesterday but I'm planning on keeping 2 x Yellow Subs a Catamaran and Stephanie's house which I will either shift for very small profit on ebay or try to shift on Facebook Market place before Christmas. I will still lurk about a bit on here but I think I'm happy with our current business model for now, if I see some good sets discounted after Christmas then I may have another look but for now I'm not in a position to wait two years to start getting some returns back on these sets. Thanks to you all for helping me out and I hope the sets you've all invested in do work out for you all.1 point

There will be little to no interest in The Beatles Yellow Submarine when it retires so there's no reason to continue to discuss it & certainly no reason to purchase any.1 point

Looks like Amazon direct to me. The box isn't too bad considering but still not 100% happy with it. The Amazon website seems to only allow me to send it back. Any idea how I can raise this with them directly to maybe receive compensation?1 point

Yup, you´d want 40-45% min off Technic sets to stand a chance. No point in buying one expensive turd just to get another free turd.1 point

Then the employees have got a directive from upper management to tell every potential buyer that the set is almost done (independent from the current supply state)... or The employees really see that only one set is avilable in storage location but it does not mirror the true warehouse state...1 point

Considering the minimal costs to re-hash compared to the design/ release costs of a 5000+ piece set, I think Lego will do quite well out of TM 2.01 point

I don't know bout others but I'm a QFLL so I will be selling all mine FBA now unless price tanks. It's almost 100% profit right now so no need to keep them.1 point

Hi all, Currently I am at Santioago Island, Cabo Verde for a 5-day project which got me stuck here for almost 3 weeks. Past weekend I decided to go out and enjoy the local hospitality. I am sure the world could learn a lot from these friendly people. Here are some of my pictures:1 point
