Worked for me! Thank you very much op! Stood there in self checkout and did individual purchases and scanned this code on my phone each time. Best deals were Carbon Freezing Chamber at -52% and U-wing at -42%, with red card.9 points

Ever since the news on this re-release broke I have been hoping that it tanks, and will continue to hope it tanks. Let LEGO be stuck with a boatload of these large, shelf-occupying sets that nobody wants. 50% off fire sale BF 2018, quick retirement, end of the re-release experiment and lesson learned.6 points

There will be little to no interest in The Beatles Yellow Submarine when it retires so there's no reason to continue to discuss it & certainly no reason to purchase any.6 points

With just over 3 weeks left before end of year and the way the deals have been this season, I feel like someone will look at their sales goals for the year and just shout out "F@&* IT" and push that super deal button.5 points

Not sure if online but Barnes & Noble had most of their Star Wars sets, new ones included 30% off4 points

So the initial QFLLs buy it, but then it becomes obvious that not that many people actually want this set, and many who said they did aren't buying. People only wanted this because it was rare and expensive. Now that it isn't, they aren't interested.4 points

Where are you located? I'm sure a local picker would love to have first crack at them, and any sales for cash with no selling fees is a win win for everyone involved. This would be my approach as well. I'm forty and I still have all of my sets from the eighties when I grew up, but only because my parents saved them for me. I'm so glad that they did, because now that I have two kids of my own I was able to get them all back out and build them again. My kids and I created a huge city layout combining the classic town sets that were mine and some of the newer City sets. Most importantly, we had a blast doing it. My kids are 12 and 11 and have already entered their dark ages, so the hundreds of sets in their collection are in storage until it's time to pass everything onto the grandkids. I feel it's my duty to save them and pass them on since my parents did the same for me. Lego truly is a timeless toy.3 points

What they did with MF 75192 was legit with 10 years since 10179 was released and a significant redesign. Selling the 2016 holiday set, 40223, for $10 was not cool. The reissue of the Taj Mahal was shameless.2 points

Wrong. If anything the hoard was more tenacious back then. If there was a clue a set was retiring it would vanish from every retailer the same day, sometimes within the hour. When the Town Hall and Imperial Shuttle were confirmed they vanished and the threads went crazy. People stared at amazon tapping F5 hoping for one set to pop back into stock. Now large sets going are met with a collective yawn.2 points

I'm going to sound like my Dad here, but if Cheese advised you to jump off a bridge would you? Just because someone you don't know advises you to buy dragons, doesn't mean you have to buy dragons. What he didn't say is that even at a third off the Dragon set is still dearer than it has been in the last month.2 points

Sold my last 10210 Imperial Flagship for $730. It took all year and prior to the counterfeit version I was selling these for $850 easily.2 points

The funny thing is a lot of the Xmas hoarding is done by mum's wanting to pay for Xmas by screwing other mum's lol2 points

My First Order Transporters 75103 have been flying off the shelves the last week. I knew I shouldn't have left any for LegoMan1212 when they were on clearance for $28 at Target this past summer ?. Sales have picked up nicely these last two weeks and reaching the Top Rated Seller in the last month probably didn't hurt me either. Good timing!2 points

Smyths cleared out the castles for £30, when the buy in is low even turds can make money. Hell i've even made money on the 1 and only Rebel Combat Frigate i've bought. That in itself is a miracle.2 points

my advice is gtfo while you can. seller count has not dropped off. multiple sellers with double digits. sales rank has plummeted (#114). city fire station is more popular than this set (#100). with target showing stock, bn and tru in stores, amazon cannot be too far behind. make your $3 per set and drown your sorrows in nachos and beer. what will be devastating is when everyone has it in stock and there is price competition driving it to 27.99 like happened with bttf and exo. and then there will be tears.1 point

Was gonna get some Vacation Getaways with Subs after work but all gone when I got home (wasn't overly bothered or I would have done it on my phone on break). Not liking any of the other options, would just be buying for the sake of it, therefore not really getting the Subs for £30 ish quid as you're just buying a turdster just to make a 3 up. The Elves set mentioned a few posts up is only £25 at Argos anyway so not much point in adding to this 3 for 2 for the sake of it. But, whatever floats your boat................1 point

TRU ebay, ice tank 70616 dropped to $47.62 https://www.ebay.com/itm/The-LEGO-Ninjago-Movie-Ice-Tank-70616/172971592331?epid=2145968742&hash=item2845e90a8b:g:mUAAAOSw7z1aBGLV1 point

Don't be too discouraged. With these 2 limit offers it can be difficult to get the optimum combination. The subs are a good price so don't worry about the elven hit.1 point

Exactly! When the (perceived) value of a LEGO set far exceeds the enjoyment someone has in actually building it, then the Lego stopped being a building-set and became an investment object. The purpose of an investment object is to keep it in pristine condition with the purpose of selling it in at a future date for an increased price. When the Taj Mahal set was a rare set, people coveted to HAVE it as an investment object, believing it would increase in value over time. That made the demand for it. Now that 10256 Taj Mahal is available for everyone, there aren't actually that many who genuinely want to build and display it.1 point

The reporting on that was almost entirely inaccurate. I'd be ashamed if I was that program director.1 point

Watch out, they have implemented "lowest item gets coupon applied". Have to be more tactical about placing orders.1 point

You are speaking about selling sets that are not EOL... This has been always risky. When you buy sets at S&H and sell them all after EOL then a ban will never happen to you.1 point

I didn't see it reported above but sorry if its a repost: Amazon is running a buy 1 get 1 50% promo on 20 sets. The full list can be found here. Brings some of them, like the End Portal, to around 50% off. https://www.amazon.com/gp/promotion/ATBNIYA9E0B1M?ref_=plp_pc_dp_imp_ATBNIYA9E0B1M1 point
