  1. I didn't see it reported above but sorry if its a repost: Amazon is running a buy 1 get 1 50% promo on 20 sets. The full list can be found here. Brings some of them, like the End Portal, to around 50% off. https://www.amazon.com/gp/promotion/ATBNIYA9E0B1M?ref_=plp_pc_dp_imp_ATBNIYA9E0B1M

  9. And you are still wrong. Bring ‘em on. I like this series much more than series one, and collectively more than any 2017 series.

  10. Same thing happened with AoH before it came out. Honestly though, reviews before the set’s release are stupid and I don’t blame them for removing them.

  11. Yes, QFLL are pouring in. But there is no excuse for listing your five at $47 when everyone else is at $50. That's eBay mentality...

  13. That's a nice idea, I'm going to skip this deal though. I'm looking forward to the post Christmas sales so I'm happy to save the money until then.

  15. I don't think I have seen anyone post this but Shopko has a online sale of $50 off a 200 order live till Dec6 with the prom you get free shipping. Currently there is not much still there but it may be worth a look. With it you can get 6 at-St for $25.4 each. I personally got the 75182 for around 14.5 each.

  16. Memories from this show give me nightmares. The first time watching it with my kid and his cousins, I swore I had to have been high. Nope!

  19. Smyths cleared out the castles for £30, when the buy in is low even turds can make money. Hell i've even made money on the 1 and only Rebel Combat Frigate i've bought. That in itself is a miracle.

  23. I think Lego/Beatles is niche for sure. We got my father-in-law the Beatles sub last Christmas and he built it and displayed it for a while, but really he's more interested in getting every single Beatles book and recording that gets released. But I can't imagine every die-hard Beatles fan doesn't already have one of these if they wanted it. Wall-E was popular with older millennials (like me) who enjoyed Lego as kids and now are having kids and watching Pixar movies with our kids and thinking, dang, I want that Lego Wall-E.

  24. Sorry, I dont agree. 1) Wall-E is nice set, but the movie is old and not legendary. It has some fans, but cannot compare with famous movies. Beatles fan base is much more stronger. Everybody knows Beatles. 2) Wall-E can be built with standard bricks, Beatles not - you cannot replace 4 figs. If Beatles retired, there is no chance to have Beatles figs anymore. You can just build a submarine itself. But you never know :-)

  25. Until yesterday this set didn't have the Retiring Soon label yet, but just now I noticed 21306 Yellow Submarine does now also have carry that label in LEGO Shop at Home EU:

  28. Never react solely to discounts. Research your targets and if they go low enough then pounce. The police station isn't retiring any time soon and will only get replaced with a newer model pretty much immediately. It's usually discounted to some level anyway and last week people were picking these up in store at Tesco for £30 no doubt thinking of a quick flip before xmas so that will limit any immediate flip potential. . Also consider box size if you're looking to post.

  29. Bought a 1st edition 10179 on a local site. Complete and in great condition with stickers unused, certificate, manual and box and all for £800 cash. The bottom of the market has well and truly dropped on this one. I’m starting to think that maybe I should have drove for a harder bargain. Hope many don’t still have minty new sealed versions of this set, hoping that we will see those previous prices

  30. I am skeptical on Dimensions for investing purposes, but if you want it for yourself - Tough to go wrong with this deal: $35 - Warner Home Video - LEGO Dimensions Bundle: Fantastic Beasts Fun Pack, Lord Of The Rings Legolas Fun Pack, Harry Potter Team Pack & Fantastic Beasts Story Pack https://www.amazon.com/Warner-Home-Video-not-machine-specific/dp/B01N8YNWWX/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1512309976&sr=1-2&keywords=lego%2Bfantastic%2Bbeasts&th=1

  32. 2 stores were at 50% on Saturday. A 3rd was at 60% off today. None of them had much tagged for clearance, as has been the case all along near me. Did get an Ender Dragon for 60% off before points plus a couple more off-roaders to hit the $10 back threshold.

  33. Does anyone know if it's the same price in store? We can make a good deal better by stacking the 10% Lego Star Wars coupon and red card if it is. I just got home from work and will head out a little later to check. I thought maybe someone might have already noticed.

  36. I saw few sellers from Zgorzelec/Gorlitz (border City between Czech, Germany and Poland) with ridiculous large quantities available, highly likely they get their sets from Kladno as well as WH in Germany. I Know "Kladno capabilities" .. trust me, its virtually just next door. Its impossible that they would get it somehow "officially" (i mean truck loads). Each employee is awarded among other incentives a certain (limited) discount that entitles him to buy .. umm. let say 10-20 average sets (1000-2000 pcs) per year at half a price. You cant steal anything from the factory - not even a single brick that fell on a floor hardly an entire box.. so they have to have their source elsewhere.. I have come across truly disturbing facts that while the ppl in the Kladno factory itself are guarded like prisoners (more or less), the 3rd party Logistics partner with warehouse in other part of "greater Prague" obviously not.. and that might be where they could be getting their loot from.. I mean.. if an avg employee buys something at 50 % of local RRP, he certainly doesnt sell it to you at the same price - where would be the profit? now these Logistics ppl.. if they are willing to sell the same set for 35 % of the local RRP.. I think everybody comes to the specific and exact explanation how did they land their hands onto it..

  39. I'm working on the "2018" edition of this thread. I'm going to keep it "clean" - no discussion, just posts stating that a product is retired. This is what I believe we need for a post: Set Name, Date Retired, Region retired, and screenshot of the set name with "Retired Product" Sound good? Anything else? I'll take care of having an index thread stickied at the top, with links to the posts and links to the discussion threads for each set.
