The forums are so repetitive these days. A handful of people who just regurgitate the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.....6 points

I'm working on the "2018" edition of this thread. I'm going to keep it "clean" - no discussion, just posts stating that a product is retired. This is what I believe we need for a post: Set Name, Date Retired, Region retired, and screenshot of the set name with "Retired Product" Sound good? Anything else? I'll take care of having an index thread stickied at the top, with links to the posts and links to the discussion threads for each set.5 points

Lack of reading and comprehension is clearly a requirement for eBay customers. I sold a used 75105 MF that I picked up in a bulk lot. Listed as used and described as such, with a picture of a built set on my table. Guy emails me some threats the day it arrived. I explain to him step by step how to request a return on eBay. He lacks reading comprehension so he files a paypal case instead. After a few days I call paypal to ask them what to do, and they escalate it and give the guy 10 days to provide a tracking number. On the 9th day of him receiving reminders from Paypal he finally submits a tracking number. He assumed I would have to reimburse him for shipping so he sent it the most costly way he could, USPS express 1 day. Paypal already ruled he was an idiot who couldn't read, so I only had to refund the purchase price. They changed his return case from SNAD to a normal return. I can only imagine the hell he's given them about how he was misled and now he's out shipping for an item that he believed to be new. I wonder if his verbal communication is as poor as his written? +1 to paypal for their handling of the case.3 points

Check your mailboxes, and by mailboxes I mean actual physical “snail mail” boxes. I received a holiday card from Barnes & Noble with a $10 gift card in it! Glad I opened it, I usually just toss B&N stuff in the trash assuming it’s 20% off coups that don’t work on Lego.2 points

Folks, calm down. You are getting your statuses all wrong: - Normal product, "Sold Out" -> means there is no confirmed backorder date (yet) - Normal product, "Backordered" -> means a new shipment has been planned, the reported date is when it's supposed to arrive - "Retiring soon", "Call to Check" -> part of the dance - "Retiring soon", "Sold Out" -> Almost done dancing - "Retiring soon", "Retired Product" (EU version) -> Likely retired, unless we find some more in the back or Tabby sends back a shipload, in which case it goes back to "Available" - "Retiring soon", "Retired Product" (US version) -> Done.2 points

That boxer is one weird looking dude. Pretty sure he's getting in shape to go do some low budget porn. The set is a cool change to the series, though. I do like it.2 points

All European countries share the same shop/inventory, only the pricing is different per shipping destination. A set retired in the UK will be retired in Hungary as well.1 point

All this means is it won't be GBH. It will still sell FBA for $50 next Christmas, and $60+ the year or two after that. You just paid $10 for it. If you guys have better sets that will be 5x buy-in next Christmas, slide on into my DMs.1 point

Hmmmm. I guess I didn’t read the email correctly. I thought Lego said my black VIP CARD was in the mail about a month ago. Apparently it must have said, “Congratulations on your $800+ purchase of a really cool box of molded plastic blocks and choking hazards!! As a reward we will be sending you and 10,000 other people a one of a kind, but completely non personalized and easily reproducible laminated piece of thin cardboard/ thick paper!!! We would like you to know how much we appreciate your love of Lego! This “special” VIP card, which can also easily be worn on a lanyard (not included) by poking a hole through the top, will make you and many others eligible for, yet to be determined, AMAZINGLY HO-HUM discounts and 15 minutes of early access to our “crashed servers” on occasional future sales!! This card, which you should have already received, is coming!!! We, at Lego, are thinking, very hard might I add, about potentially sending it possibly in the near to distant future; almost 50/50 to 73% chance one way or the other, maybe, but most definitely eventually. Thank you again for YOU, but mostly your money!!! Sincerely yours, Lego” For those still waiting just to buy the set, I apologize for my sarcasm.1 point

Tell me about it! I got banned last November. I've been lying low for a year and just tried to order 5 of these Globes. My crime? They associated my eBay account with my VIP account. I received the following: Thanks for your interest in LEGO® toys.LEGO.com/service, LEGO.com/shop and the LEGO Stores are dedicated direct-to-consumer sales channels. In order to provide the highest possible level of service to our consumers, we have instituted a policy of not selling or shipping products or individual bricks and pieces to retailers or business owners/companies via these channels.Due to our policies, your recent order couldn’t be processed and has been cancelled. Any future orders will also be cancelled. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions or concerns.1 point

I stayed small this year. Ordered a Spider-Man Bridge from Amazon. Always told myself if I ever saw it under $50, I'd get a second one. So I did. Also ordered the LEGO Batman Movie Movie Maker and 5 Baseplates from LEGO.com. They were all on sale, With some VIP points, the baseplates come out even cheaper than the $5 each they were.1 point

They have probably made more models of T1 than the real thing. That is certainly true with Tower Bridge!1 point
