Or it might not, because limit 20 seems to be the new standard. But please guys, let's keep this thread limited to updates on retirements, rather than speculation. There are other threads for that.4 points

Well in Mexico this weekend was the Mexican version of Black Friday, it is called Good Weekend ("Buen Fin" in Spanish). It was established about 5 years and it is getting better each year.... people are caching up to the hype of a sales weekend and the business are competing more aggressively to capture the sales.... I got 4 Ideas Doctor Who 21304, I got them for $750 Pesos each, that is about $40 USD Each tax included.... also I found IDEAS Wall-E's 21303 at 56 USD tax included, but passed on those I have plenty, these were at a toy Store that carries Ideas sets, and obviously most people that love Lego in Mexico do not know. Also I bought 3 SW Slave 1 UCS 75060 at another store that had them at $150 USD each Tax included, not bad for a set that is not on sale pretty often. and also I got a POTC Silent Mary 71042 for $140 USD tax included... Not bad for picking them up at the stores and choosing mint boxes...4 points

When we hit January 1, I'll restart this thread with those "rules" in place. And we'll keep it clean so it's just the set and the retirement date (and the region), along with a screenshot. Otherwise, the post will be deleted. I will even sticky it to the top of the forum. Carry on until then.4 points

Just some inside info I've got today. (I don't know if this is the right thread for that but let's try) Some of them are rather disappointing. 1. No More Millennium Falcons Delivery until end of the year in UK and probably rest of the Brand Stores across the Europe. The last delivery scheduled for Q4 (few boxes per store) was delivered to majority of the stores last week and yesterday, already gone in most of the brand stores (London is gone). If you are from other regions of UK call your local (or nearest) store to check the status to make sure whether they have it in stock or not. NO RESERVATION LISTS ALLOWED. 2. There will be NO Designer Launch Day for Taj Mahal, just a regular ordinary one without the presence of the Designer Team. 3. Christmas Toy Shop are gone from most of the stores without further delivery scheduled pick up one before it's too late! It's already retired and won't be back for sure. 4. THERE WILL BE NO (UNSCHEDULED) 3X VIP EVENT IN DECEMBER. TLG is already satisfied with the current state of sales in 85% of the stors, they don't have overstock so sadly no 3x VIP to boost sales this year. confirmed for those who are anxious about Black VIP cards, those will be issued as well in 2018 if you will call with such request CS. (at least in January) now I realized I forgot to ask about the legitimacy of the Diner (new Modular) set. ehh... next time.2 points

My favorite premise is one I only recently became aware of. Apparently there were two characters in comics named Tag & Bink, and the idea was that they Forest Gumped their way around major events in the SW Universe. Ron Howard recently tweeted that he has put them as background characters in his new Solo movie as an uber nerd homage, and essentially making them cannon. Apparently one of their comedic / historic events was one of them hiding in Boba Fett's armor at the battle at the sarlac pit which explains how Boba would be so easily and stupidly defeated. Heck when he landed on the skiff it was like he didn't know where his wrist rockets were. He lands, fumbles around for a moment and then decides to try to trap a Jedi Knight with,,,,,,,,,a string? Why not the rockets? Why not the flame thrower? Maybe because he had never used them before? Totally silly of course, but neat.2 points

Probably based on a pretty famous sculpt used on several collectibles. There was a book series called "The Bounty Hunter Wars" which describes his escape from the Sarlacc Pit and his adventures after. I was never a fan of the whole premise.2 points

Unlikely. It might just be a problem with availability or this one particular set going.1 point

Why would that tempt you? It's #31 on the Amazon best sellers in building toys and no longer on the overall top 100 toys list. I don't think this will be hot again until RI 3.01 point

Yes, most likely a dropshipper. I've always wondered what one of these buyers would do if their buyer wanted to do a return. Would they try and return to the original seller or just eat it. Some of their feedback numbers are pretty high so I can imagine the volume being large enough that it's not worth trying to sort that out.1 point

Not just work. Also overhead. Netting just 5-8% profit requires significantly more appreciation than that to cover the 10-15% in fees and other costs like shipping, packaging, storage, etc.1 point

The main reason why I buy architecture is because of the tourists who visit the actual location, not because of the design. I don't think the NYC skyline looks like total crap but there's really nothing special about it. That being said I'm wanting to order 1,000 units within the next 12-18 months while others will be fighting over some new LEGO ideas set. Same with Chicago too. For years I've been imagining high school kids going on class trips to visit the Space Needle, Eiffel Tower, Capital building, etc. and relatives not knowing what to get them for a present before or after the trip so they just pull the trigger on a LEGO Architecture set.1 point

Did you receive any customer complaints and/or returns on those two ASINs? Fba or fbm ?1 point

that seems like a lot of work. I prefer to just type in a set number and bingo have it tell me...1 point

I think you can just cancel. And if that results in negative feedback, you should be able to escalate to BL admin since NPB is a valid reason for feedback removal. ETA: either way, I'd eat the negative feedback rather than have to deal with the buyer further. You can always leave your own comment/response.1 point

I had it both ways from Rak. Two orders were updated on the site as TRU shipped them out. The other just showed up as you described, but I've also had that happen when I've ordered straight from TRU. They also shorted me one item. I contacted TRU through Rak's site and got no response so I contacted Rak directly. Rak got a refund for the one item that didn't ship, everything is copacetic...and just now I got another email refunding me for the whole order. Rak is whack.1 point

Looks like these 2 themes could be getting some much needed secondary market demand. ======= “Amazon has greenlit one show that it hopes to rule them all. The company has made a multi-season production commitment to a television adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy epic The Lord of the Rings.” https://www.reuters.com/article/us-amazon-com-lord-of-the-rings/amazon-to-produce-lord-of-the-rings-television-series-idUSKBN1DD293 http://ew.com/tv/2017/11/13/lord-of-the-rings-tv-series/1 point

Well, I’ve been quite busy for the past 6 months or so…but I have been slowly piecing together and building a train terminal that I purchased the instructions from on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Station-PDF-instructions-MOC-Building-City-Modular-/152374747648?hash=item237a3e2200). I also did some modifications and customized it a little bit by adding a comic shop and a small convenience store (with stickers from Brick Builders Pro (http://www.brickbuilderspro.com/). It was quite the project and I just finished it, so I thought I would show some pictures to you all. I had some help sourcing some of the parts from my local Bricks and Minifigs store. There are around 12,000-13,000 parts to the building. Eventually I plan on adding a 60051 High Speed Passenger train or two and doing some more changes/modifications to it….but I am going to save that for a later date.1 point

I've already three of those from recent launch and Guard with Stormtrooper with pauldron are the best. I very much like the way Lego managed to work with gravity to put some weight on the plasticy pauldron to simulate this part as more like "flex accessory" rather than "fixed part". It's wobbling when you move him plus helmet is fantastic and much better shaped than those from TFA which are tad too narrow. So as far as I can tell Praetorian 75529>Stormtrooper 75531>Stormtrooper Pilot 75526 Chewie and Rey are out of my radar since I consider them as hideous.1 point
