  5. Well, I’ve been quite busy for the past 6 months or so…but I have been slowly piecing together and building a train terminal that I purchased the instructions from on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Station-PDF-instructions-MOC-Building-City-Modular-/152374747648?hash=item237a3e2200). I also did some modifications and customized it a little bit by adding a comic shop and a small convenience store (with stickers from Brick Builders Pro (http://www.brickbuilderspro.com/). It was quite the project and I just finished it, so I thought I would show some pictures to you all. I had some help sourcing some of the parts from my local Bricks and Minifigs store. There are around 12,000-13,000 parts to the building. Eventually I plan on adding a 60051 High Speed Passenger train or two and doing some more changes/modifications to it….but I am going to save that for a later date.

  12. I have been tracking retirements this year and I disagree. We are only in mid November and about 80 sets are already done. BF will account for several more and so will Xmas build up and the first period of the post Xmas sale at 20%. I reckon the only sets that will make it to 50% will be Super Girls, Nexo and the odd Friends, City, Batman Movie or Star Wars buildable. Adventure Time is also a candidate and we don´t know how many Yellow Submarines are still in warehouse. Clone Turbo Tank and Phantom also have very good chances of making the cut. The non Nexo 50% off sets from last January were; 75150 A wing v Turd Fighter, 41122 Tree house, 41176 Secret Marketplace plus a few that came back into stock again and got marked down e.g. Doctor Who, Ecto...

  13. As Val-e has said, very typical for an autumn released technic set. I started buying this when asda had it for £60 last year, Tesco also had it for £62 in the april 3-for-2. The volvo has also seen 50% off on several occasions. Both stunning sets that IMO should do very well.

  14. Proving the point that any American with an Amazon vendor account can make money from selling Lego when Walmart inform you it is done AND reduce the price for you and Amazon sell it for you at vastly inflated prices!

  15. Can't remember if I saw this here already, but here you go: Best Buy - LEGO Dimensions 50% off If you have a Gamer's Club card, it stacks with an additional 20% off. If you change between mailing option and in-store pick up, you should be able to get an additional $1 off per item.

  25. Pretty cool, I've seen these little nano figures around, surprisingly heavy for such small figures. Batcave and Hogwarts are adorable haha, not something i want to start collecting, but i do like this display case for LEGO figures... hmmm

  26. great set and very true to its film counterpart. All of the droids / villains that have been made in the star wars buildable figures have been great as they look so realistic, the human ones are terrible!

  27. Don´t count on it. It´s gone from most other shops so production seems to have stopped a while back and that sell will sell for Xmas. It will probably only be discounted if returns come in during the sales. Adventure TIme is a safer bet for a reduction.

  28. I saw these posted on Facebook and thought I would share it here. It is not LEGO, nor does it purport to be. The display is found at Target near the movies and books, where they have various licensed knick-knacks. It's called the Nano Scene by Jada. They also had a Harry Potter scene display and a DC Comics Batcave scene display. There is not a covering over the slots and the space inside is big enough for about 3x5 studs. I used some 4x4 plates as I didn't have a bunch of minifigure plates. It was $17.99 or about the same cost as the 2x4 minifigure display case from LEGO. The plastic rock base is detachable and it can be wall mounted. Target DPCI 323010416. I did not install the 3 AAA batteries. K-2SO on the plate was slightly too tall for the slot and had to be hunched, Chewbacca fit fine.

  35. I believe I saw retiring soon tag on either White House or Trevi fountain.. but whats the use? (even if LEGO did tag them).. look at the retired sets thread.. these "comedians" are able to tag "retire soon" sets that are stil available even if tagged like two weeks ago.. and then others - such as Technic Class Xerion (superb set), or a lots of Ninjago sets and others didnt get tagged, showed up to the very last moment "max. order 20 units" and then suddenly gone in a second. I confronted UK LEGO CustCare regarding this - what is the explanation that some get a tag and others dont.. tthe answer was rather candid: ".. sometimes in all that rush and interest in our sets we are not able to tag them and they just get sold - REALLY?? Like 20 units per order and all of sudden someone bought a truck of them and you had no time to react?" so as of now I suspect that they use that tag only for the absolute "waste" that they want to get rid off since its not selling at all.. and that might also support my theory why after two weeks holding that "badge - retiring soon", all of them are still available.. no panic to buy them.

  36. This is just a general question, but do you guys agree that the lifespan of these sets are shorter than they were before? I seems they retire a little after two years, where as before is could be close to five years. The Empire State building was out forever. I haven't figured out how to time these sets yet. I hate buying too early but I've missed the boat on some of the recent sets as well.

  44. Glad I could help! 1985, I'm in 8th grade, and my friends and I are in our yards playing Voltron. Forming Blazing Swords, fighting off Robeasts. It was a grand nerdy time. I obsessed over that show. Saw every episode. Hunted down the name of all 15 Vehicle Voltron characters (wasn't easy!). Had both the big Matchbox sets. I have a grand total of ONE Funko Pop on my desk. It's this guy: As soon as the Ideas set got posted, I was on the bandwagon. I probably over shared the Idea on Reddit. I remember being really bummed that it was about 500 supporters short of 10,000 when they closed the review period on March 1, 2016. So it had to wait until the next review period closed (it made it's goal a few hours after the review period closed). This is a Day One, retail price pick up for me. I most likely will get two of these, on to build out as Voltron, and one to have as the Lions. Short of being the Ideas creator, I've got to be one of the happiest guys around about this set. I even built this guys (thanks to TOK's help):
