  1. Here you go. Are likes important? ^^ Anyway, I find it interesting that the City Vulcan sets are also seem to be done. They are from last year, so they are not really that old. Did a pretty good investment with the last (deep sea) sets, but I didnt bought any of these Retired.txt

  2. Technically not a "buy" (though I'll have to pay income taxes over this win as Sears had me fill out a W-9), but this happened last week and arrived today:

  3. Just wanted to share some pictures of my finished UCS Tie Fighter. Lighting by Brickstuff pico LEDs. The laser cannons are on an 'pulse fire' mode in the Lighting Effects Controller while the engines are on a 'Flicker' mode. Mounted on the wall using a TV mount and a bent L-bracket. This inserts into the bottom side of the model and gives it the angle of attack.

  4. Alright then: I don't even have to highlight the words - you did it yourself. You claim (including a "damned [sic] well" which makes it an even stronger statement) that anyone can buy any set any time for at least 20% off, and proceed with calling "double or triple points" an "obsession". When challenged after making this claim, you counter with the following: The first time you mention that there is waiting involved is in your reply to my statements just now, where you say " I didnt say that I buy everything from the plant employees.. why should I? they will never offer for sale anything for just 50 % - its better to wait until some local, regular toy chain discounts it to a level of 50 % RRP". What irritated me, and what caused me to pick up the gauntlet and respond, is the fact that you swooped in, started stating these things with an air of certainty and of "everyone else who doesn't get these deals is st-pid", but then promptly called out other members for being liars when they say that they have sold hundreds of Saturns. If you had done your homework and read through a lot of the threads here, you should have known that: There are members who have access to outside-retail channels. There's a bird here who parties till it's 1999* who frequently shows cases/pallets full of not-yet-released desirable sets, and for every member who is open about this sort of stuff there must be 10 who don't talk, so these people exist. There are opportunities to buy sets in volume if you know where to look, and if you're properly set up. Just take a look at mr. Steamroller* and his 16 rockets purchase from yesterday. There are people on this forum who run large operations, including operations with personnel, and make a fine living out of it. They do not stop at a few sets each. Net, as per my first post to you: I'm not debating the point you tried to make on the fact that for most sets double-VIP is not a good deal. I'm not happy with the way you brought the point and would ask for some modesty in how you approach other members and subject matter. And as a PS: Even with insane clearance at Walmart, and Free LEGO from KMart.com, there are enough sets in LEGO's catalog in the US which are difficult to get at any discount at all via normal retail channels, and for which double-VIP is a treat. This is all I will say on this matter - if you want to discuss this further please PM me. *) Cryptic names used to protect the innocent

  5. That is the best part about this whole thing, everyone has a different business model, some passive some active in terms of their involvement and how much they are "out there" to get stuff. Some people have cash, others leverage credit, the options and variables are endless. At the end of the day, people should be happy for others that they are making money and enjoying it.

  10. To lighten the mood, here is a finished picture of mine. To get the colors of the engine plume correct, the four outside engines use a trans-orange plate while the center engine uses a trans-light blue plate. This was achieved using Brickstuff pico LED lighting system (http://www.brickstuff.com - cannot recommend enough. A little pricey, but great to work with and the end result is fantastic). 5x pico LED's, some adapter boards, an IR Lighting Effect Controller, and a small battery pack. The four outer engines (orange) have a flicker effect, the center engine (blue) is solid on. To get a clean install, I cheated a bit and used a 7/8" drill to go through the 'stud stack' so that the wire would be routed on the inside.

  14. Well the man seems to have got the rough end of the divorce as he has to bathe outdoors in a barrel whereas she is just dropping money around without caring. The bear seems to be the brains behind the operation but it´s all just a façade to meet the 2018 helicopter quota.

  20. I recently received an order where instead of a first and last name, the customer gives me a bunch of gibberish. I cancel the order and I get a message that says that he is in China, and his name was provided by the "Transport Company" and that he can't change it... I canceled the order...

  26. I currently live in Japan and visited a merchant where I picked up the Carbon-Freezing chamber. I visited the store on a Sunday where a stock person was pulling around a cart with all of the new sets. I asked if these sets were for sale and he said "no, they will be for sale tomorrow". So I returned to the store the following day to find the sets available. I only purchased one, kicking myself now. There are currently no more for purchase. I have asked other employees by showing them a picture and they claim that they will not be getting or selling that set. I have also heard rumor that the United States may not get many or will be late to get them. Does anyone have any additional info on this set and if the merchant was just early to release? Thank you all for the input.

  28. One of us! One of us! gooble-gobble gooble-gobble To elaborate - I agree with @asharerin. I think most experienced FBA sellers will tell you "forget about it and move on". In an ideal world Amazon has no transactional mistakes and the only way to ever achieve this nearly impossible feat, is by reporting the issues and helping fix there processes. What we don't want is a selling platform were dependent on, which is also stealing our money. At this point the dolla to loss ratio is quite small so its in your fiscal best interest to move on and assume they are correct.

  37. Target on Google Express dropped the price for BB-8 down to $80. Pair that with the 20% off " NEWEXPRESS20 " coupon for new users makes for a decent price.

  39. I had a similar experience from them when I ordered from Walmart . Showed delivered but no where to be found . For the Rak order they showed up at my door step around 9 pm , rang the doorbell then just walked away .

  42. Look on the bright side. Them being OOS at 9am on so many key sets, could well mean stock levels are generally low. Opportunity for a shortage selling into the Christmas market. Some years are buying years, some are selling. Last year was buying, so it's time to unload those 50%+discounts from 12 months ago.

  43. Looks like every Target got x50 each. That's going to drop the values on these significantly isn't it? It's worth picking up? Or is the plan to flip them before the price drops out.

  44. Promo gift, $10 mini after points, and falcon with wheels and special booklet. They reminded me of a 10% restocking fee during checkout... even if sealed. Happy, I am. A couple saw me walking to my vehicle and as they were behind they said "That's a falcon right there!". Lol Orlando, FL got 20 in today. Saw three people picking up while I was there.

  45. Maybe they have a fetish about virgin boxes. Sometimes it is better not to ask.... So they can use their work address as paypal delivery address then there is no issue. A lot of us do that with Ebay and Amazon as it is good for pick ups too.
