Built over a span of a couple of months as I'm pretty busy with work, but I am happy with the outcomes. Picked up the houses in a used local lot and really like all three. I wish the current line of Creator Houses were more similar to these! My wife even suggested on her own that these would be neat to put together into a town set up one day, so that was a win. I picked up the Detective's Office back in July when the Snowglobe and Piggy Bank were stacking. I was up in the middle of the night waiting for news on our puppy that was having to have emergency surgery, and it was definitely an impulse buy as I figured I was blowing an estimated 2-4k on the pup, whats a little bit more? Had a lot of fun building it and am impressed with some of the details, its a lot better in person than I gave it credit for before I bought it. Puppy turned out just fine as well...(the underwear she ate, not so much) A post here led me to that deal, and while I always appreciate the lead on discounted sets for resale, I'm always super grateful for the good deals on sets for personal builds, thanks all!3 points

Hey peoples, just checked Target AU website, NASA rockets available as of Thursday morning. Doesn't seem to be any buy limits, free shipping and normal RRP. https://www.target.com.au/p/lego-reg-ideas-lego-reg-nasa-apollo-saturn-v/608818852 points

Got my UCS MF today @ the LEGO store. Produced 2017/10/09. Anyone notice what is missing? *sigh* Employee had to walk me to my car using a hand truck so I wouldn't drop it. Now the real question is, build it or sell it this Christmas so I can buy another one during the next double VIP points event... decisions...decisions... Oh, and the store received a shipment of Saturn V's as well. It was hard to leave them (esp with double VIP pts) but I figured I should be thankful my wife is on board with me getting the UCS MF. Ironically, on my way to the LEGO store, my wife called to ask why a large box with LEGO arrived. Hard to explain my Rakuten UCS Snowspeeder while en route to spend $800 for the UCS MF. I figured I should count my blessings instead of pushing my luck with such an understanding and loving wife.2 points

Thanks, finally got one on 2xVIP. Website was throwing an error, again, so had to call to complete the order. The lovely lady on the other line offered a 10% discount and free next day shipping for my time. $107 with 2xVIP and free easter minifig, Yes Please!! edit: reviewing my receipt and another nice suprise. i come from a heavily taxed state and it appears it was left off?! Never does anything cost exactly what the price tag says. Except today!2 points

If it doesn't show up in the emails, CALL the Customer Service to get it added. That should resolve the issue. I find that their CS is amongst the best I've ever dealt with.2 points

You should have in your contract a clause stating your distributor agrees not to sell those items on Amazon itself, or at the very least they have to provide 3 months notice prior to selling so you can sell through or an agreement that they buy back all of your merchandise at cost if they start selling on Amazon. If not, you will next time This is why Amazon is going to have a monopoly within 5 years, and why we keep buying Amazon stock, and why we keep diversifying and adding new skus every week: https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=172851200112 points

Another great thing about Activision games was if you hit a certain score you would take a picture of it and send it to Activision and they would send you a patch for that game. Most were pretty easy. My son has a bunch of them.2 points

Mine are all Lego too. But after you won, I changed them all to $200+ sets. Lol2 points

If paid full price, probably or a little bit more. However, with brickolodon's magic + VIP points (or coupons elsewhere) + CC points + stackable promos, etc, I'm sure the wizards here have their ways of turning $5 into $50+2 points

I think @TabbyBoy touches on this point, as a big change is that timeliness is more of a consideration, including with the flipping / arbitrage. Sitting on a retired set and expecting it to go up forever is not realistic - if you're sitting on gold, just sell into hype and reap a comfortable profit rather than getting greedy. Keep that capital flowing with a positive margin and you're in a good spot. There are a ton of examples within the past few years for sets that rose modestly, then dropped off again. Parabolic was mentioned. If a set is high and there's a good margin, just take the money and run, even if you're not on the top of the curve. No way to know that. Things don't just accrue into skyhigh oblivion, especially when remakes, new huge lego sets, fakes, all provide ample competition with each other. There are more sets than ever to chose from, both new and old, and that's not changing. I don't think that's a sign of doom - making lego more available than ever is a good thing for its popularity, but devaluing brand via over-expansion is a concern too. Lego is a toy, and most lego is seen and bought as toys, which do not make good investments whatsoever. You probably shouldn't be hoarding friends, city, uniconic star wars sets, for RRP... some of the pics I've seen, those scare me. Not all lego goes up or sells. Some things are solely parting out packs for bricklink stores if you get it on sale. And that's only if you don't value your free time and enjoy scoops of pennies and nickles. There are so many lego sets now, you really have to chose wisely, or for good sales. I buy basically nothing at RRP, and only buy a few times a year when the deals or pickin's feel right. Stack points, wait for deals and sales, whatever. Oops, don't mind me, just accidentally authoring misplaced speculation bubble posts ?2 points

i sold 10 exo-suits for $42.99 in a week on amazon but yeah still a big loser. i still have 30 left . at least i bought them with the gift cards obtain during the legendary target weekend of buying $40 gift card for $30, then buying another $40 gift card for $30 with the previously purchased $40 gift card, rinse and repeat ad infinitum. good times1 point

My sixteen Saturn V's that I ordered from Target yesterday afternoon have all shipped. I was skeptical since they had a high order limit but were only in stock for about twenty minutes. Was expecting a cancellation.1 point

Unfortunately, I have not been able to work out any contracts with any of my distributors (probably due to inexperience and lacking a true business location). There seems to be a lot of fear/hate for third party sellers, which I find difficult to navigate. I know a lot of people use grey market tactics to get around third party limitations. Ironically, In this particular case the manufacturer has a brand on Amazon, which they manage extremely poorly. I had reached out offering to essentially run there online presence and help manage there brand. They said they'd be willing to hear me out, but i really have no idea what I'm looking to achieve so I haven't really pursued it further. Then i noticed they hijacked my listings. Still trying to figure out how to navigate this scenario. Thanks to @asharerin I have expanded and greatly diversified so instances like this aren't a big deal. Its still annoying and further demonstrates the volatility of the online market. I operate 100% on OA however I would feel much more secure having some branded products I can anchor my sales in without having to juke and jive. I feel like I should start a self help group. "ASA" - Amazon Sellers Anonymous - where people can speak about there trials and tribulations.1 point
