My wife bought a bag of Lego for $10 that has 75048 The Phantom and 75050 B-Wing, both of which seem to be complete and I can see some of the minifigs. I will investigate further as time allows and my cold gets better. The minifig with the yellow torso and purple head does not seem to go with either set. I would appreciate thoughts on what it may be. My wife may be a better Lego investor than I am because she scored an open box 6866 Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown with sealed bags set for $6 at a sale and a 76039 Ant-Man Final Battle set at Target for under $15, both back in 2015. The Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown was the set that actually started our small-time investments. We quickly learned it is not that easy and we happened two find two awesome sets. ? My best finds have been the 60059 Logging Truck ($15) and 7893 Passenger Plane ($65), both sealed sets.2 points

Nobody should acknowledge that the film even exists. ?1 point

No time to sort for you, but I am close enough to swing by with a truck if you ever decide to pull the plug.1 point

Thanks so much for identifying that minifig! It turns out that was the only minifig besides a droid in the bag and I was faked out by a helmet I saw for the 75048 Phantom set. That set is complete, I will buy the missing minifig and sell that set. The B-Wing will be for me and the missing minifigs are a non-issue. Kudos to my wife!1 point

Hello everybody! I'm new on the site. I played with LEGOS all the time from 8-12 than sorta lost interests and changed completely. Lost all the sets I had as well sadly. A couple of weeks ago I stopped in a LEGO store just to check it out and It was a pretty happy feeling looking at all the Star Wars sets. I hadn't picked up a set in about 6 or 7 years. I spotted the Clone Wars Yoda Starfighter set and couldn't resist. I brought it home and put it together and I forgot how fun it was. It rejuvenated my affection for LEGOS all over again. I'm now getting back into it completely and look at it has a very enjoyable hobby to find sets and put them together and collect them. I'm excited to get back into and this seems like a great community. I discovered the website while trying to find a price guide for classic Star Wars sets. Basically just wanted to introduce myself. ?1 point

In a galaxy far away, people loved that film so much they went on to make 8 more of them and people are debating whether the 1978 Corvette 8 track is better than the 1984 cassette version.1 point

The Rakuten codes can be used once each! Anyone have multiple rakuten accounts?1 point
-
It is still cheaper at Rakuten. https://www.rakuten.com/search/lego 75883/3868/ $61.98 with $5.99 shipping. Order more of any Lego and the shipping goes up a little. Contrary to a few a few earlier posts, the coupons still keep working. I have made 2 purchases since then. Please help me! At least once for each one. USE GHOST, SPIDER, WITCH or MINION to get 30% up to $50.00 off any Lego. 30% off set 75883 = $55.99 44% off MSRP (Toys R Us exclusive). Lego Architecture = 30% off. https://www.rakuten.com/shop/toysrus--babiesrus/product/EED87203/ The power function battery keeps going in and out of stock. With code, 38.41% off. They never go on sale. Great deal. It's our responsibility to tear the morally bankrupt Toys R Us to the bone since they took away T.R.U.T.H. and won't let us spend our rewards on Lego.1 point

As in that center bit you have is structurally not doing anything for the bridge. The truss section needs to be attached/touching/etc the table to actually lend support to the bridge.1 point

I was wondering how many people knew about Corvette Summer. He was supposed to be a high school student in that movie and could pull it off.1 point

Finished up my own BB-8 a few days ago, thought it was a pretty fun little build. Building the sides of the ball got a bit repetitive, but overall I think he looks very good and is not too blocky for being a sphere. The head bobble was done well too. Working on some builds right now that are coming from a lot I bought. Included a Monster Fighters Zombies, 8017 Tie Advanced, 8038 Endor, and 3829 Fire Nation Ship. Lot had almost 200 figures as well that went to my BL store. Solid triple in the gap on this lot. 20 lbs. bulk leftover that will go to another BL shop that is local.1 point

I love this model! My fingers hurt for a week after working with those pieces, I had to glue 2 together to get them to stay, and my head almost exploded wading through all of those parts.... Other than that I loved it! I got it for $60 directly from Mattel while exploring the internet for enterprise MOCs. Good luck with your investment! Trekkies will always be around and buyers!1 point

The only rarity factor this set is on SAH. Everywhere else is stocked up to the gills and ready to go for Xmas. I´d say forget about it for 9 months and check back next autumn.1 point

I tried but was told dimensions fall into the category of pc games, not constructive set, so it was no go for me.1 point

Finally got around to picking up the UCS Snowspeeder. I knew i'd love it, but just couldn't justify picking up without some promos/double VIP. The Snowspeeder was probably my favourite SW vehicle as a kid, i remember bringing one of those Action Fleet Snowspeeders everywhere as a kid. Also going from building 75192 to this was almost laughable. Only 1 bag per step!? what is this a juniors build? ? Guess i'll never again think a set takes too long to build after 75192...1 point

Can we agree to leave out all the non retirement specific posts, please? This thread will get busy as it is over the next few weeks.1 point

Grand Opening Day 3: Promo minifig day is not as nutty as promo store set day, but my linemates have accepted me as one of their own....my wife, however, sticks out like a sore thumb.1 point
-
A word of caution for anyone planning on going to the grand opening... people will be there 1.5 to 2 hours early. People will break up their purchases into multiple $100 increments to get > 1 store set. The employees are new and will more than likely allow it. No, I only got one store set at my grand opening despite purchasing 3x the $ needed. I didn't want to cheat out the other 500 people in line behind me.1 point
