I have to agree. This old LEGO Luke is more middle age Luke. He drives a Corvette and listens to The Beach Boys.3 points

So spending $50 on marked up sets just to get a freebie is a good deal? I would have preferred to buy the LBM promo for $19.99 but my store wouldn't allow it.3 points

I used FLASH20 once and tried use it again and it wouldn't work but then I started using the Halloween codes, (ghost, witch, spider and minion) They work on Lego too, not just costumes. Plus it's 30% off not 20%. Before they sold out I cleaned up on these. :-) LEGO Power Functions Rechargeable Battery Box (8878) Unit Price: $43.99 3 $131.97 Coupon -$39.59 Shipping and Handling Fee Total $0.00 Sales Tax Total $7.85 Points Spent -0 points Order Total $100.232 points

If you haven't used Google Express recently, or ever, you might be qualified to get an additional 20% off purchases up to $30 off using code NEWEXPRESS20 (one time use per account). The cool thing is, you can use it for LEGO at Walmart and Target. There's already lots of good stuff on sale, some already marked down 30% - 40%. I guess there's also a Discover 20% cashback on Discover Deals for Google Express on some accounts. May have seen an email offer. Wal-Mart Target Get a $130 Destiny's Bounty, $120 AT-M6, $65 BB-8, $70 VW, $70 Winter Train using a combo deal, etc. Your friends and family might have Google accounts too.2 points

It is still cheaper at Rakuten. https://www.rakuten.com/search/lego 75883/3868/ $61.98 with $5.99 shipping. Order more of any Lego and the shipping goes up a little. Contrary to a few a few earlier posts, the coupons still keep working. I have made 2 purchases since then. Please help me! At least once for each one. USE GHOST, SPIDER, WITCH or MINION to get 30% up to $50.00 off any Lego. 30% off set 75883 = $55.99 44% off MSRP (Toys R Us exclusive). Lego Architecture = 30% off. https://www.rakuten.com/shop/toysrus--babiesrus/product/EED87203/ The power function battery keeps going in and out of stock. With code, 38.41% off. They never go on sale. Great deal. It's our responsibility to tear the morally bankrupt Toys R Us to the bone since they took away T.R.U.T.H. and won't let us spend our rewards on Lego.1 point

My wife bought a bag of Lego for $10 that has 75048 The Phantom and 75050 B-Wing, both of which seem to be complete and I can see some of the minifigs. I will investigate further as time allows and my cold gets better. The minifig with the yellow torso and purple head does not seem to go with either set. I would appreciate thoughts on what it may be. My wife may be a better Lego investor than I am because she scored an open box 6866 Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown with sealed bags set for $6 at a sale and a 76039 Ant-Man Final Battle set at Target for under $15, both back in 2015. The Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown was the set that actually started our small-time investments. We quickly learned it is not that easy and we happened two find two awesome sets. ? My best finds have been the 60059 Logging Truck ($15) and 7893 Passenger Plane ($65), both sealed sets.1 point

I saw the new Crafting Box also for 20% off (but since RRP is $59.99 it takes you under $50 after discount which means you need to add something to get the $10 off $50 to work, and the Meijer Bucks would drop from $10 to $5, so not such a good deal. Only other bigger set I saw with a discount was Krennic's Shuttle, original RRP $89.99, so $71.99 after 20% off, but that still gives you only $10+$10 in discount as the $15 discount starts at one item priced $74.99 or higher. This was in OH; Meijer does have different promos per region AFAIK.1 point

I sold 18 of them here in USA on ebay for 33-35 shipped. About half were gsp buyers. They've come down a little but still holding their price surprisingly well. If you want to sell I'd try to get ahead of the rest of supply.1 point

Do you use your redcard on the new account? I've only had issues using my redcard on a new account since it must be linked to my old tax exempt account.1 point

Disagree with you on this, I think this is going to be a hard to get set for it's life time and if you want a good number then buy now. This is the archetypical set for Emazers tactics of buy up regularly to get your number. The only place I can buy it is SAH, so average buy in so far of about €83 with promos, VIP, etc is about as good as I can get.1 point

Agreed. This set will be available throughout 2018. I'm convinced of that. It's a waste of money to buy this set at RRP now and have your money stuck for more than a year from now. I do agree that after 21309 officially retires it will be an iconic Lego set that will keep growing in value in the years after. Maybe slowly and gradually, but still. This set will go down in history as one of the very best sets EVER made by Lego!1 point

Considering the favourable press coverage already when this Ideas submission was approved in the review round, I expect another round of great press at the launch of this set. Which means it could be another set that sells out at launch with Lego having difficulty getting their supply matching the demand. Something to keep in mind1 point

I nominate this post for the post of the year. If there are any new BP's out there I encourage you to break apart each sentence and repeat it over and over again. I'm getting flashbacks of 2 years ago when everybody was falling all over each other trying to grab The Tumbler. After my 70+ Saturn V's I got, two days before the release date mind you, I'm not touching anymore. As I've said ad nauseam I was grabbing Imperial Hotels at $86 each while everybody was paying full MSRP for The Tumbler and the IH's have a better ROI. Sure we don't know how many resellers are hoarding this set but seeing that there are now 64 pages to this thread in less than 5 months is telling. Now I have no doubt that I and many others will be making money on this set, but like I said I'm not buying anymore. I'm in the process of buying hundreds of 3-4 sets and none have not been talked about on this forum for months and I'm confident they'll allbring a better ROI in a shorter amount of time. My point here is the point I've tried to make many times on this forum, don't follow the heard. Breakout a Excel spreadsheet and punch numbers into a calculator to discover the undervalued sets that nobody is talking about. You will quickly get ahead of everybody else.1 point

No, just no. I think the NASA sets are awesome,. While I don't find this set that impressive, it's better than I though it would be, probably due to the packaging, and seems to fit nicely with the Research Institute.1 point

Awesome. If you could talk just 2 more people into doing the same and ask each of them to talk 2 people into doing the same, etc., that'd be great.1 point

Sorry, Brickstock noob here and I have a few questions: 1. When loading a set and pulling average prices into each part, why is it that certain parts have no price with a red rectangle around it? 2. What does the green checkmark and the blue plus sign mean under status? 3. How come there are occasionally part numbers that are identical like 3974 and 3974a. i.e. a set has 12x of 3974 and 12X of 3974a according to Brickstock. Thanks for the help.1 point
