  6. Code LEGO5 gives $5 off select LEGO toys from 10/15 to 11/11 according to the KMart Toy Book. Supposedly only the toys listed in the book, and then again only those in the $24.99-$39.99 range, but likely YMMV knowing SYW .... Oh, almost forgot: you get a free polybag (jungle ATV or Gymnastics Bar) with each LEGO purchase (of $19.99 or more) during the same time as well. I assume this is instore only, and I assume nobody in store will know what you're talking about, but then again ....

  9. Come on ... why would anyone in their right minds pay premium over RRP for Last Flight of DB (70738) when they can get this gorgeous highly detailed DB that utterly destroys 70738 in every way for even less money? A poor remake of a set will not harm the older, better, version. Compare the Star Wars MTT: everybody agrees 7662 from 2007 wipes the floor with 75058 from 2014, so 7662 is still going strong in valuation. But in this case 70738 can't hold a candle to 70618. And it's highly unlikely that Lego will ever release a new Destiny's Bounty that is better than 70618.

  15. You can't compare it to the previous DBs, this is a different class to them. I'm sure many AFOL's have this on their Christmas list because it's such a beautiful looking set, doesn't matter what theme it's from.

  16. If I ever go visit the Lego House with my wife and kids, and it's indeed one set per customer, I'll have to let my wife to buy one set for herself as well. But my son and daughter might want to own one for their own collections too... *wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more*

  17. Still better than me going 19 and next going 18. I tend to find on most sets the logic works, my item sells within a few days when the lower ones have gone and when I list same item again I put the price up by a few pounds.

  18. No, you drag the market down, too... Lowest price: 20 Your price: 22 Then another guy thinks in the same way as you did and makes his own second best price: 21 Result: All prices approximate to the lowest one...

  22. They generally run production many months in advance so it takes time for them to catch up. But don't you worry, they will catch up and sell as many as they can to as many people as they can (RIP exosuit resellers). While there have been instances of short-run sets, I doubt they have any intention of slowing production of Apollo or the MILF anytime soon. It just takes them a little longer to react, as they are indeed already producing 2018 sets and still need to meet those delivery obligations while ramping up production of their two more popular sets right now.

  24. Toys r us has select superhero sets online and in store 20%, While most are meh, if you go in store(YMMV) my store and the milanos 76081 at $42.99 -20% on sale for $34.39 plus TRUTH gets it to almost $30 add the batman promo and some points and you got a killer deal.

  27. 9446´s values have not collapsed due to either of the remakes - mainly due to rarity. 70738 was just everywhere and overhoarded as people expected the same results but were not expecting another remake so soon. 70618 is brilliant value for money for us and is the best of the three so 70738 seems caught betweeen a rock and a hard place. However, the investment potential for 70618 is probably not going to be as high as 9446 due to all the above.

  30. I really don´t want to knock this set more than I have already done but it seems like a trap to us Lego taxed countries due to the low UK price and favourabel exchange rate. Everyone will be in on it when Amazon discounts it heavily and I am not sure about future demand. The previous DB is not doing well, despite a reasonably short life as everyone was thinking it would be like DB 1.0 At 40% off Uk price, you´d be looking at around 80 euros shipped if you buy multiples.

  31. There's always an undercutter to drag prices down. Same is happening on ebay UK. Two days ago it was happily going for 29.99 now someone has dropped in at 24.99. Never really understand the logic. Whenever I list anything on ebay I tend to target being the second or third lowest price rather than undercutting the lowest so i drag the market up not down.

  35. After buying and selling 4 vintage castle sets last year from the late 1980’s/early 90’s I developed an avid interest in castle sets. I parted ways with these sets because some had plastic bases (I am not a fan of them because of fading and cracking) and some of the sets were too small for my taste. My interest only grew this summer after spending two days with my family in Lego Land California and seeing the castle themed area there. I would go back just to stay in a castle themed hotel room when they open that section next year! Today, after much research, I bought a used 7094 King’s Castle Siege that is complete, in great condition, has the instructions manuals and cost ~ $128 before shipping (~ $152 with shipping). The dragon in that set is awesome! I lost out on sets on BrickLink after waiting too long to decide and the insanity of Ebay was not kind to me. Victory is now mine and only $10 more than recent Ebay sales with shipping!

  37. So let´s just review and reconfirm for latecomers. Definite exclusive retirees confirmed by Lego: Palace Cinema, SHIELD, TIE, F40, Batcave, Hoth, Airjitzu. Likely based on rumour and heuristics: Winter Toy Shop, Simpsons, Slave 1. Sets that could go either way but will probably stick around another year: VW T1, Mini, Tower Bridge, Minecraft Village, Ferris Wheel and everyone´s favourite rocket.

  38. 5x50, 1x100 and as always 1x0 for me. Make sure you do the bonus spins. This week's code is PlyW1nIt. Today was likely one of the best non-bonus Sweep days ever for me ... over $3 in plain XTRA and normal Sweeps, all little amounts here and there.

  41. Was gonna check out if I could muster any deals from shop at home but I guess their VIP system is down, was yesterday when I tried as well (???). Also when I'm browsing and try to hit next page it often just bumps me to the top of the current page and will never bring me to the next. Have to exit page, clear all filters, etc. Think it has something to do with the convoluted filtering options which are sometimes automatically enabled and not obvious. Lego can do a lot right, but web user interfaces continually is not one of them (I'm looking at you bricks and pieces). Still at 4 promos and 2x VIP for today? - tix tac toe $20 friends - VIP - Lloyd fig - Iconic cave

  42. I am really looking forward to building my own 70618. Ever since I saw the first photos of this beautifully done Chinese Junk in LEGO I knew I wanted it for my own collection! I usually save a big set like this for building during the Christmas Holidays, but now I have just bought a 10225 R2-D2 which I also want to build, so I have to choose which set to build during Christmas, and which one to build in November. Regarding the availability everywhere ... I remember back in 2015 I saw the Star Wars sets 75054 (AT-AT) and 75055 (ISD) just everywhere in all toy stores selling LEGO, and at decent discounts as well. And I wondered the same thing: how could such an ubiquitous set that everybody and their grandmother could get at a discount ever do well after retirement ? But both sets did do really well, while they're not even that brilliant.
