Hi all. Lurked for a long time but finally stumbled upon a deal I didn't first see here first so I figured I'd post and maybe contribute for once. Shopko.com has all three 2017 Advent Calendars - City, Friends and SW - for $18.88 each. http://www.shopko.com/catalog/search.cmd?form_state=searchForm&keyword=Lego+advent Shipping sucks but there's a code for free shipping for orders over $99 Had honestly never heard of Shopko as they've apparently never crossed into PA, but at that price, especially for the SW calendar, I wasn't about to pass it up. What could go wrong? Note, I've also had some beers tonight which could be playing into my optimism.6 points

Well I finally had time to go and pick my Warehouse deal 75059 Sandcrawler.... I bought it so I would not have to open a minty one from my stock.... as expected box was trashed.... but still sealed... all the contents were there and sealed as well..... a good choice overall as my plan is to build it......4 points

Picked up TLBM minifig set from TRU. Was able to buy Ninjago week 1 Bricktober off the shelf and had that contribute to the $50 minimum. Had 30+ Ninjago on the shelf and 8 TLBM at customer service (I'm sure more were available). Probably not the best value, but glad to get the figs!!!3 points

For us we have narrowed it down to our bundled items. They get received in full but the warehouse workers are opening polybags or boxes and splitting up sets and bundles. They then go to FC Processing but because the FNSKU label is missing they cannot track the inventory so it gets deducted from the received count. Now we plaster multiple FNSKU labels, ready to ship labels, do not seperate labels on all sides of boxes and polybags. We also put additional FNSKU labels on the inside items. This has solved the problem for us completely. Annoying but you have to make your shipments completely idiot proof because with the volume they are doing the workers have literally half a second to decide to open a bundle or look over it for a FNSKU label.2 points

Got the easy part out of the way - LED strip installed. Re-used the same strip from 10179 without having to modify it. I did of course have to modify the build a bit to fit the wiring without it being too obvious. Had to customize a side panel so it could go through the center, but it covered up pretty well. The strip does have a sticky back to stick it to something, but the pressure from the boat masts is enough to keep it in place with force alone. Made a custom little "holder" for the power box on the interior, and the receiver for the remote is accessible from one of the greebling display holes in the model. Not much i can do about this, needs to be somewhere the remote can talk with it, but it doesn't look all that out of place. And when done it again looks great, this light usually stays on 24/7 and acts as a night light for the living room, so it hides the ugly backside engines a bit Gotta say both this model and 10179 sure make it easy to access the interior to do modifications, all these easy to remove panels are great This LED setup does need to be connected to a power outlet, and last time everyone was telling me to paint the cord the colour of the wall, this time i will, but no i will not decorate the wall like the back of an ISD or a space scene Special guest: Jumbo Tsum Tsum Jabba, he's so awesome, makes a great couch pillow! Next step will be prepping the set for mount "alignment", have to of course remove the whole bottom turret section, reinforce the frame, and make some adjustments to level out the frame a bit as i can already see some differences from 10179 where my current mount build won't work.2 points

I've lost about 1.5k this year in inventorying problems. One major instance was 3x 75054 at at. I bubble wrapped them and forgot to sticker the outside. They never inventoried them. Lost forever. I've accidentally put additional items in one box versus another. They rarely get picked up as extras. Lost completely. I understand these are my fault and if it was limited to these scenarios I'd be fine with it. But I also experience situations BA is talking about. Where onsie twosie things go missing or entire items are missed. I planned on writing off the losses which still isn't ideal obviously. However I feel like it's hard to prove to the feds that these items just vanished at Amazon. Especially when they aren't willing to take responsibility.1 point

I’ve had situations were they would short me on an item and then receive more than I sent on another in the same shipment and then claim their numbers are accurate .1 point

The truck is parked within the limits of the show so you have to have a badge to get to the area where it is, even though it's outside. Unless they moved the truck, but I doubt it.1 point

Only these four sets. Surprisingly, the Water Dragon was marked at $18.99 (no TRU tax?)in my store (ymmv) so comes out to $11.39. Not bad if you don't have 30x of these already.1 point

I picked up a bomber and star destroyer for my personal collection using two sep. masterpass accounts. Decent deal for sure.1 point

Not sure if it was discussed in here already, but the movie is 2.5 hrs long, longest Star Wars movie to date.1 point

Just saw this on Costco.ca: $25 off purchases of $100 or more when you use Masterpass... too bad Ninjago Destiny’s Bounty is now sold out... good deal for anything just above the $100 mark... https://m.costco.ca/masterpass.html1 point

Friends on the inside. Used to happen with SDCC until LEGO and SDCC cracked down on it.1 point

Sign up for their email list and they will send a $10 coupon within 10 minutes. It negates the shipping. I picked up the SW and City calendars.1 point

Ha ha... that's funny! Looking at other photos of the set, I see that many of the figures are "paired" with another. She appears to be paired with the little boy in red holding the comic "dragon's head" on a stick? Based on the red and gold colors, I imagine they are street performers at a Chinese festival, and that red light is supposed to be a Chinese lantern. Still... pretty funny tho!1 point

That Rey is awful, looks like a balding man I wish they’d use prints less and tried using actual parts to represent the details1 point

Attempting to make a bridge to cross to my other section about 30" gap. Using 12x12 modified 3 hole plates and 12x1 beams connecting the outer holes. I plated the gaps on top and the bottom. It's fairly stiff but I don't think it's going to work.1 point

Well looks like We all got some time to kill ... I'm #4 on my lego store list and WAS hopeful I might see an end to this before 2017 was over and done with...but Now reading these posts it seems I have to put up with peeps in here bragging about getting 2 or 3 of these sets with Cat pics eating jabba the hut cereal while using the 75192 box as a Cat lounger. sooo ...I'm thinking Of grabbing an LG OLED UHDTV, Apple 4K Box, and Hooking up my XBOX ONE and Play some Star Wars Battlefront 2. ...no sense holding on to $900 bucks while TLG yanks our chains through Christmas. And by January or even February Maybe we'll get the Call... But I digress...i find it Extremely hard to believe that every lego Store will receive Zero shipments through Christmas till 2018.1 point

I'd say the 6753 Highway Transport is a good option. 60060 Auto Transporter would be a cheaper alternative as well.1 point

Nope, I saw someone tried that this morning at the cashier. The cashier said there's nothing to scan on the box so they can't sell it.1 point

Built rex's at-te. Cost me 11 bucks. Son already having a blast. Great set and tons of play value. I think it will yield great profits once retired.1 point

Work has calmed down a bit so cracked open this little guy. Great build and some great play features. Looks good next to his buddy.1 point

Finished this cool little set over a few bathroom breaks last week . Bought it mainly because it looked "ok" and for some reason it was cheaper than others in the 20OFFLEGO sale last week (discounted to $10.49 before code vs $11.99 for other Speed Champions set, so picked it up for $8.39+tax - 44% off), but after building it and putting it with my other cars it steals the show. I think it's the whole color combination that makes the car look so awesome. Definite recommendation if you're into Speed Champions.1 point

WTF is that? Kudos to you, but what the f--- kind of inventory management / leakage / breakage is going on with TLG these days? That's mind-boggling and a terrible indictment of their controls over distribution. Thanks for sharing; eye-opening to be sure.1 point

You mean the start of the non silly season when prices are hopefully more realistic?1 point

Funny, the Arctic Roller and Low Rider are two sets I bought and I didn't buy much from this line. I just thought they were cool. I also liked the Clayface set.1 point
