Very rarely have been a poster on here but I'm currently in London and have already purchased 16 of them, all on one day, as my wife is here with me. I can confirm that these little guys are in abundance there, but people already want them. Badly. I've flipped them all for about $35 a pop already through the eBay, with shipping time for when I get back. Basically going to keep going to the store at least once a day and see how many I can get. I'm in Seattle so might as well stock up on what I can get as rumors have it this will be a one year distribution. When I listed them on eBay I was the only US seller who had them, so I could dictate my price. Edit: literally going to try to get as many as possible as these seem to be gold so far, and so easy to pack even with packing through. My wife was so shocked (even though we've flipped LEGO quite a bit the past few years) that it was so easy for these. Only sucky part is only getting VIP Points once (I don't want to try to buy more with my card haha).6 points

Don't mention gold. That'll get an article in the national press and turn it into The Tumbler5 points

New for £300! One of the seals has loosened off, and the box has sagged, but I'm very pleased with this.5 points

I saw 60104 Airport Passenger Terminal at Target for $57.59. It seemed like regular price was marked down to $71.99 and City 20% sale was applied. DPCI is 204-00-1767.3 points

This will sort of be a "progress" thread so i will continue to share pictures through the process. Wasn't sure where to post this, but this seems to be a good spot for now. As many of you know i wall mounted my bricklinked 10179 and posted it on these forums, it was a fun endeavor and a great way to display the monster. I've since moved to a smaller condo and now more than ever do i need the room. So i plan to (try) do the same with 75192. I managed to pick one up in store lining up at 6am or so and being 5th in line when my local store (Sherway) got a restock. After about a week i have finally finished building it, and now it's time to start brainstorming how to overcome some of the differences. Overall 10179 and 75192 are pretty similar, i found myself recalling a ton of the build processes/techniques and 10179 while putting this one together. the one thing 75192 has going for it over 10179 is of course the enhanced details, but more importantly the build as a whole feels like it won't fall apart just by looking at it, but it does have it's weak spots. My biggest problem with 75192 over 10179 is it doesn't seem to hide the gaps/cracks as well as 10179 does (at least from my recollection/pictures). I can look around the model and peer inside and see many of the rainbow colored bricks shining through, some in more obvious spots than others, but still i thought this being a $900CAD display/collectors model they would go out of their way to make sure this didn't happen. And maybe sacrifice build "ease" for aesthetics. Few pictures to highlight this below: First step will be to install the LED strip to the back. I'm hoping i can use the old TV wall mount and just modify it, buying another and custom drilling more holes will be a pain. And the wall i need to mount this on is concrete, so i can't just drill this into a stud Going to have to find someone with a hammer drill. Anyways enjoy the process and pictures as they come!2 points

Again, just to reiterate, to do a better service to keep this thread on track, message me directly about snagging a Lester. No reason to continue to swamp the polybag thread. But, seeing as I did this to myself, I will add this to all: I will only be taking requests until later TODAY (early tomorrow morning) at approximately 12am PST October 5 (8am BST, 3am EST). This will enable me to actually have ones to everyone who wanted them, and won't continue to give myself an insane amount of work. Thanks again for the positive feedback. Or comment and message me but just know i may not respond to all comments and such right away (I'm on vacation too.) ?2 points

Thanks everyone for all the helpful responses. As everyone has stated, I want to help the community first and foremost, thereby hoping to have some favors in the future turned my way. So here's what I figure I'll do: First, if anyone has a sealed Chrome Stormtrooper that they'd be willing to trade for a Lester + cash on my end, that'd be the real trade I'd be looking for. Otherwise any other SW polys that are slightly rarer I'd entertain offers for. I would ask, however, that any of these offers be evaluated on the market of the fig being $35, or so, roughly. Which most anyone would probably just rather buy one, but had to throw it out there. Other than that, I will sell everyone ONE for now, at the cost of $13 + shipping worldwide (wife's idea, she's just as in charge of the money as me so have to head some advice). I apologize for anyone who has previously messaged me about getting them more, but this will be the easiest way to distribute them to anyone who would like them, and I'm hoping most people wanting them are collecting. Also, if you'd like one, please message me as well. It will be easier that way for me to keep track. Hopefully this is fine, and fair, with everyone here. Any questions let me know. Also, so far I've gotten another 24 today, just as hoped, so have a decent stock starting again!2 points

I agree with what @Martae54 says it is always good to have some of the well connected active members on here "owing you one". Another thing you can do other then money if you are into collecting lego is this is a great way to build your own collection with trades. Things like Darth Revan, Balloon cart, Mini T1 make for great trades.2 points

Only you know what to do there. If you want to make future "contacts " that will keep you in mind for future deals they get, then a Small upcharge to make it worth your time would be best obviously.2 points

Not today but Sunday drove to Megacon in Tampa. Stan lee decided last minute to go to aid hurricane victims. Got the rest of my SDCC collection signed by him. (Every minifigure card signed by him now) also got our picture taken. 7 items and to get the COA plus picture was an expensive trip but well worth it. I know in the future I'll be thanking myself. Was good to see him again too such a nice guy.2 points

I have amassed quite a collection of the Speed Champions series vehicles and think it would be cool to have a transporter to display them on. I have seen a few really nice custom builds, but I was wondering the best auto-transporter set to go for. I really like 6753 and the included cars seems a very close scale to the SC vehicles. If I had the inventory of bricks at home (I bet I have the required inventory at my parents house form childhood) I would love to build a custom model so any suggestions of that would be appreciated. However as I increase my collection of automotive themed (typically racing) Lego & Technic, adding a transporter of some sort would help complete the set. Thanks!1 point

And if you want to get abit more fancy you can try this in the drive-thru message... <ORDERTRACKNO-EQ:Y> Tracking number is: <ORDERTRACKNO> </ORDERTRACKNO-EQ:Y> This will set the drive-thru message to check if you've entered the tracking number on the order received page and automatically add the text line with the number for you, if you've not entered the tracking number it won't add the superfluous text.1 point

In case anyone is still wondering ... Just go to the LEGO Shop at Home LEGO-NASA-Apollo-Saturn-V-21309 page and browse through the 61 pages of 242 raving user reviews where this set is generally being hailed as the best set EVER created by LEGO. This set will never ever become outdated. No matter what happens, the rocket that brought the first humans to the moon is one of the most historic things ever created by Humanity. Even 200 years from now it will still be regarded as a milestone in our Humanity's History. And so this LEGO set will be absolute GOLD once it officially retires.1 point

Works for me. I have six others wanting one, so if I can get the stock, I'll happily send one your way, no problem.1 point

I have gotten 24, which are all either sold or claimed. However, the Wife and I are going back for another 24 today, so I'll keep you posted. Shouldn't have any issues getting them though (it's pretty easy since there's two stories and we haven't seen the same people working yet.) Shipping to NZ might be a little more expensive, but I'm sure you already knew that.1 point

I've had too many bad experiences with cardcash. I only use them if I can use the card immediately. But lately, I noticed their inventory has been pretty empty.1 point

Didn't know that. I've had my account for ten years , so never had to do this before. Three weeks seems excessive though. That gives the buyer time to receive it, build it , change their mind and post it back to me for free.1 point

My mantra has always been one to build & one to keep. I have three of the MF17. One to build, one to sell soon, and one to hold on to. I'm not really in it for a maximum profit flip. I just like collecting. To be perfectly honest, I've never sold a set even though I have told my wife that was the intent And it truly has been, but I haven't done it yet lol!1 point

Why even get an MF right now just to hold it? It's too big and the box to fragile (relative to size) to justify. Surely better off just buying in 12months on a good promo with plenty of availability? im assuming most people getting them so soon either want to build or QFLL quickly. But to just hold makes no sense to me. As for the the first Death Star, I don't think they're doing too well price wise. Shoulda sold!1 point

A few more that I've picked up. Saturn V - $106 total - box was pretty beat up and I needed one to build. This will probably be my builder, unless prices get up there at Christmas. B-Wing 75050 - $39 total - Box was open and had some creases but everything was present. Sold this on eBay. Popstar House 41135 - $52 total - Bags had been opened and resealed with pieces loose in the box. This was the first time I received one like this and it went back. Volcano Base 60124 - $63 total - Light creases on box and still sealed. I had just sold an Arctic Base when I bought this and thought if it got back to MSRP I'd sell this too. Kylo Ren Tie Fighter 75179 - $52 total - Box was creased but still sealed. This showed up as a preorder and at this price I couldn't resist. I built this and like the overall model but feel the MSRP is too high. Scooby Doo Light House 75903 - $53 total - Box was creased, but still sealed. I checked the contents and everything was there. This is the second one I've picked up at the warehouse and it's trending up so I'll probably end up selling it, but may build one of them. Saturn V - $105 total - Box was open, but in decent shape. Sold this on eBay. Almost forgot to add my favorite item. I got one off those storage cases that come with the "old" green baseplate for $3.30. It was in great condition and the baseplate was even included, which I thought may not be the case.1 point

That was courteous of you to respond. I don't even bother with those people. This isn't Pawn Stars and they aren't the dealer.1 point

I have had quite a string of fraudulent purchases lately. Warning signs for brickpickers: 1) item purchased buy-it-now, above market price, no negotiation, immediate payment 2) buyer quickly responds asking you to ship immediately for a birthday or because they'll be out of town 3) address looked slightly odd in paypal, but was verified. 2 of them had extra spaces, or periods in the address line 4) buyers were all low feedback, but this could happen at any feedback level What I did in each situation. 1) Set your shipping policy to give you time to think about it (I pick just under the 'extended handling time' penalty, like 3 days). This allows the REAL buyer time to notice they've been hacked and contact you. Also prevents your seller rating from going down, while you wonder if you're shipping to a scammer vs meeting your 1 or 2 day shipping stats. 2) Ask yourself is this too good to be true? If so, it's probably a fraudulent purchase. 3) Ask the buyer lots of questions. If they're unable to respond after contacting you so quickly, they might be doing this many times to other sellers. Try to discern the scammer from the real mom who needs the present for Timmy by Friday. 4) Once you find out it WAS a fake purchase, Do NOT respond to a paypal request for refund. Do the refund in EBAY first by requesting the user cancel the transaction, ebay then asks you to refund the amount. Do so HERE, not in Paypal. If you refund in Paypal first, then try to cancel in Ebay, Ebay tries to get you to refund AGAIN. This bit me, and I had to call Ebay for resolution.1 point
