Well after getting through all 8 films and trying to work out which was the bigger mistake in the prequel films Jar-Jar or Hayden Christensens wooden acting, I finally finished the mighty Falcon. I've no idea where it is going to live until I get my man cave but it was definitely worth every penny. Next up will be to sort out some lighting. Plenty of room behind the engine tubes for led strips and the rear left compartment has plenty of room for a battery box. I don't care what price these get to before Christmas, I'm glad I built mine.9 points

As you may know, the new LEGO[emoji768] Star Wars[emoji769]Millennium Falcon (75192), our largest LEGO set ever, went on sale exclusively to VIP Members on September 14. We are very excited that we received such a positive response from fans like yourself, it exceeded all of our expectations! Unfortunately, that also means the first batch has already sold out. The good news is we are making more as quickly as possible and expect to have very limited quantities available for the remainder of 2017. We have extended the VIP-only access period, which means the new inventory will remain exclusive to VIPs at least through November. To make your wait a little easier, you can now sign up to receive back-in-stock notifications. Simply confirm your interest below and we’ll email you when a new batch of the Millennium Falcon (75192) is available on shop.lego.com If you'd rather make your purchase at your favorite LEGO Brand Retail store, please call or visit your local store starting Friday 9/29 and ask a Brick Specialist to add you to the wait list.4 points

If this is ebay, you should be able to leave neg feedback and potentially even file a SNAD (box is clearly not in excellent condition) to get money back. Should be no fear for retribution.3 points

Don't know what happened at Amazon Italy yesterday but I was quick enough to react. One of them shipped today, so I guess the order will be fullfilled. Now only to wait and see what's actually in the box3 points

"No returns" on ebay is a sham. If this showed up in this state and it was obviously not what you paid for you will get to send it back after raising a stink.2 points

I called amazon CS regarding the Stress Free set they sent just slapping the label on the box....... I had decided i would keep it.... but I called them and they offered to exchange it... i hinted that I would rather have a discount than have to ship it back and they gave me 20% back..... Not bad for a 3 minute conversation....2 points

I cancelled my order. Taking too long and I'll just wait for double-VIP and a good promo, or make your own discount at another retailer. No tax at Amazon and using rewards sounds pretty appealing.2 points

check your email for targeted ebay bucks promo: 10% ebay bucks if you purchase using their mobile app which i've never used but will be giving a try shortly 8% ebay bucks otherwise.2 points

They r using this info to help with their new receiving process. A lot of the weights in the catalog are inflated by mf sellers to get a greater shipping credit. As the new receiving process means a lot of missing units the accurate weight will allow their software to know if items got lost in the warehouse and need to be found or if the fba seller really did shortchange the shipment. This is a good thing as lots of units have been lost with their new and faster receiving process they put in place about 2 months ago.2 points

I spotted a used R2-D2 10225 on Ebay for $150 + $3.96 shipping. It's the best deal I had seen in a bit and was able to snag it about 20 minutes after they posted it. $150 was my upper limit for this set, so hopefully it arrives and is correct and complete.2 points

just a note the dimensions of a box that are on the box are for the inside shipping size. The actual box is actually always a hair bigger so shippers will measure that box up 1" on all 3 sides which sometimes can put you in another DIM weight. Example 24x20x8 turns into 25x21x9 technically they are like 24.25x20.25.x8.25 but they do round them up2 points

No, two options, buy over phone and pickup at pickup area or buy ticket and spend $25 (or in this case $850) then they refund you the ticket. Aka; shoppers pass gives you 1hr in the park for "free". This may not be all LegoLand's.1 point

How in the world has the ISD not been mentioned? That set is so dated, and is in desperate need of a complete makeover IMO.1 point

That message came from an email from Lego. I just got mine a few seconds ago. There is a "Yes. Keep me notified." button in the email.1 point

It's listed as a Legoland gift with purchase. Just not sure when it will hit It can go to other places as well. Most gwp do not stay exclusive to there anymore1 point

I did the same thing yesterday on a whim, 1/2 of my accounts got another one, so YMMV. I can confirm that freecash DOES work on clearance items in store1 point

I never called to get an estimated shipping date. Update: now my status is “In Warehouse”1 point

So i did end up getting 1 yesterday. The hype sure seemed to have died down, 30 or so people in line on release day (i was there and turned around when i saw the line), and only 7 of us at the location when it opened yesterday, 4 of them were there since 5am, we got there at 6:30 i believe. They all did sell out though as people came in at opening time and secured the last 4, but damn i could have got a lot more sleep haha. It was fun though, dragged the lady with me to keep me company Pretty sure at least 1 in the line was dirty re-seller scum Still have my backorder, considering what to do with it. Even selling at $100 over is nice because you also get the nice chunk of VIP points, but that would have to be locally, no way i'm risking selling this on ebay. The one i picked up is for building as i'm so impatient, did up to bags 3 last night, very similar to 10179 inside, but seeing all the differences makes it more fun! The interior areas for the minifigs are so cool to build.1 point

They no longer scan all of your items at receiving. Instead they eyeball everything and if it looks right mark it as completed in full. Then your items go to be stored or transferred then stored where they are scanned. If they get lost on the way or don't get scanned then they go back and edit the shipment received number and state you did not ship all of the items in the box content info even tho u did. This caused thousands on losses for a lot of sellers so now they will be able to verify by matching box weight to box content when they weigh at check in.1 point

Finally built mine yesterday/today. Gotta say, there was a lot of ambiguity in the instructions.... especially with things not visible in the diagrams. I found myself uncertain multiple times in the Stage 1 part of the build. The upper stages were much easier to build. I liked a lot of the piece variety, and the build certainly is not too repetitious for such a symmetric build. Was not a fan of alot of the build techniques (in terms of stability as you went..) but the final build is very nice in your hand.1 point

Received a BNIB 45101 - Fairy Tale Starter Kit for AUD$39 delivered off eBay. Like picking up these odd-ball sets we don't see much of in Oz.1 point

These are actually both windows. And you are right, everything else except for the wheels is Fabuland. The big yellow circle thing is used as a base for carousels as well as ferris wheel rims. The green ones are roof pieces (duh), the red one is the small Fabuland carousel. Looks like there's a 3668 in there, contains the carousel base, 2 yellow/green roof pieces and the big blue window. Not sure about the other pieces though. I can't think of a set that contains more than one of them from the top of my head.1 point

Well, I learned something today... I guess that makes sense if you're buying stuff to fit a particular size. Thanks. (I still think it's stupid :))1 point

The counterfeits have hurt this set disproportionately more then others. If you look at sold listings on eBay for Super Star Destroyer (yes you can search by "lego 10221 USA only" but not sure your average buyer does this) only 1 of the last 12 sold are lego. BL looks like an average of 2 sold new units in the USA per month this year. If you look at direct sales of Sold units of the leading counterfeit brand from the number one selling store the SSD has almost 50% more sales then the next UCS model which is the MF. With over 700 units sold by just the top 3 sellers someone is buying them. You can say that true AFOLs would never buy counterfeits, but what I think it has done to their mindset is decrease the urgency to buy before the set dries up and/or the price gets too high so the sets sits and prices fall. Add to that the overproduction of SW sets and remakes and who would want to drop a grand on one.1 point

I think that the knockoffs have hurt this set. Also, I think there is general Lego fatigue that has affected the values of many recently retired exclusives. This may not be a popular opinion, but IMO there is nowhere to go but down now. I had 7 or 8 of these and sold some at $1000ish to get down to 3 left. I just sold one for $839 on ebay. I am selling one more at that price and keeping the last one to build some day. I will be happy to get out now before the price drops further.1 point
