  1. I'm in the complete opposite situation from most...I'm the wife who wants this! And I don't plan on asking permission...

  2. Oh the joys of being a recently divorced guy with no kids. I don't have to explain or ask permission for jack squat. I can throw money down for this and be proud of it and not have to worry about a nagging wife hahaha. In your face!!!!!! haha jk guys.

  3. I don't have to ask for permission, but my wife doesn't either. That's a whole other issue... [emoji856][emoji857][emoji24]

  4. *logs on and gets excited for a bunch of new 75192 posts* Thread not going where I expected lol. Work bonus comes Sept 15, so this is great timing as it's probably the only time during the year I won't get a complete eye roll.

  7. Stumbled upon a Jurassic World Raptor Rampage 75917 at a local Toys R Us. It seemed out of place since the series has been off the shelves for months. Scanned the thing and it came up at $0.03. Shocking deal.

  8. No expert here... but I think this is one of those questions you really have to ask yourself... "What is it worth to me?" I'm not sure you'll really find a consensus here on the value of this item in the next 24 hours. For me... I dunno... I might give $350 for it? With a new one coming out, this is just another old, used Lego with missing figs.

  9. modified spidey bridge to fit trains. I don't have much room for a straight incline ( 4 ft on both sides) so lots of work ahead.

  10. My experience is that once girls get through the 'this is geeky' subconscious barrier, they become more obsessed than me. A good friend of mine, an outgoing girl, asked for a Death Star for graduation. I feel the world is finally becoming a good place.

  12. There are optimum windows to sell and this was has now passed. It'll never reach the £5K mark again & if this new version is an improvement on 10179, then I don't see why anyone would buy this, unless at a huge discount.

  13. The simple solution would be to either mention you charge for shipping on your terms page, or raise your minimum buy in. You can lose money on an order with no minimum. That $1.00 minifig would've cost you about $0.45 in fees. More if you don't buy your labels from PayPal.

  15. Currently with a new one coming out, I wouldn't even touch it. Unless I can get it for less than $400. Just my opinion.

  16. What is this long term you speak about? It is the same one people mention when they tell me good things are going to happen to my Benny´s Spaceship?

  18. It all started with one of our fish having babies. We separated them in a breeding tank for a couple of days. But that was not enough....my wife and sons teamed up on me and begged for a bigger tank. Next thing I knew...we had decided to not only get a bigger tank, but also decided exactly how we wanted to decorate it. We love our Lego displays, and this was just another creative way to add to the collection. What the hell...right?!! Great build! Very fragile! Great display piece!

  19. Having now built this, it's no wonder why Lego haven't released a UCS AT-AT. Despite his being well designed and structurally very stable it was a bit of nightmare putting everything together. I spent almost a day attaching the head onto the body. Biggest build to date coming in at just over 6700 pieces. Hopefully that will be topped by the new Falcon and then my UCS collection is complete with respect of in my opinion all of the iconic ships in Star Wars universe.

  24. It wouldn't surprise me as I ordered large sets and while they didn't ship like that, the new large shipping boxes are not like the ones shipped out of Southaven, MS

  26. Mine actually came in the original LEGO box. Set box condition is pristine. Seal code is 29R7

  27. A few years back seal codes were the davinci code......after someone here cracked the code it was a huge deal someone people. I have personally never thought seal codes were a big deal. I am almost certain that as times goes on and lego keeps switching things up more and more the codes will become even less important.

  28. As long as I get one to build I will be happy. First run, numbered, not numbered, don't care. Buying to build and enjoy. Can't wait till vip early access. It will be a glorious day.

  31. Finished the castle last night. Really cool set. I dig all the details from the movies. Should make a tidy profit on this pick up. I'll try for $300.

  32. Finally starting the set that I have been most looking forward to building for a while now: Tantive IV 10198. From back in the day when there weren't numbered bags, so I am starting to get organized. Should be fun!

  33. 6210 Jabba's Sail Barge. Feels old, but still a great set! Of note, I still have the original sticker sheet, but I going to opt for a replica sheet from BL.

  34. I have quite a few sets that I have recently built and still in the queue. The most recent build is the new Snowspeeder and I was happy to get a refresh of this set for my collection. I built two-to-three bags every day for 5 days and I really enjoyed the build because there wasn't a lot of greebling. My favourite part is the ass end; it looks fantastic and the designer did a great job on both that and the sleek appearance. I put the stickers on but the only ones that add aesthetic value are the front orange one and the side window white stripes, the others are a complete waste. I would like to see a little more work on the underside (or how about a functioning tow cable) and two tiles on the back 45 degree 1x2 bricks instead of loose studs but it's an overall great piece and I don't really like the Snowspeeder to begin with!

  35. Recently I got back from a duty in Nigeria and bought some retired sets for myself (thanks to the allowance). One of these sets is set 10027 "Train Engine Shed". After I received the set I dismantled it, washed the bricks and base plates and started building. During the building I found several parts were used which are not original and some parts were missing. Still need to order those. Nevertheless I am very very happy with this set. A great appearance and it looks great on display. One day I will use it for my future City. Luckily I found out the Emerald Night (another set I bought after my duty) cannot pass it due to the width. A major crash has been avoided . Cheers!

  36. I love this set. By far the most unorthodox building techniques of any set I have built to date. Kudos to TLG for Making it very sturdy. I am not sure yet how I am going to rearrange and fit this in yet though. I was hoping to display vertically.

  43. After selling a handful of these I thought it would only be right to save one for myself and see what all the fuss is about! A nice little set, going rate of £20 seems steep but that's rare parts for you!! Either way, it does look lovely next to my UCS R2 D2.
