  1. Wrong attitude for this site bud. Getting max dollar is applauded here.
  2. I did not buy it, but I bought the parts to make it !!!
  3. The Architecture Sydney Opera House I found a few months ago was pretty good, but I think this might have it beat for my relic of the year find.
  4. I'd love to see this:
  5. Created this from a 16"x20" front-loading shadow box and white foam core from Hobby Lobby and bricks ordered from LEGO Bricks & Pieces. Cragled 48 1x2 plates to foam and clicked on other bricks to build Minifig stands that can be modified for a variety of figs and accessories. Since it is front-loading, figs can be easily swapped out.
  6. I took this set to show and tell in the 4th grade. It was a big hit.... yea I'm old.
  7. I would like to see a remake of this
  8. Separates the men from the boys...Could be a hairy situation for some.
  9. My wife still has all of her Space LEGO. Boxes and all. So smart she is.
  10. Popped open a damaged box Fear Harvestor! Not a bad build!
  11. I sold a Joker Steamroller for $50!!! Woohoo!!!!
  12. Obvious choices, Chima Fire Bike 60th Anniv. Edition and what was that set that crazy dude with the stormtrooper avatar used to buy all the time?? Ninjacopters?? something stupid like that. Guy sure liked Elsa too. Weirdo...
  13. Let me borrow your time machine, okay? Thanks
  14. Not that Coupons work with it, but Ronix R.E.X. was 9.98 at my closest TRU. Shelf spot had 19.98, scanned half that. Hobbit Witch King's Battle? Still 16.99.

My job gave out a candy dispenser for everyone. I didn't like the candy but the dispenser looked nice enough. I built a cherry blossom tree inside.
  16. I think I'm going to ride the hype-train on this set. Take the day off work, be first in line at the Lego Store, go home and start building right away. I'm setting my expectations high, but still trying to be a realist. I just want: -Numbered first production run -Same size/scale as 10179 -Some added reinforcement and external detail -A few interior features (not expecting much) -Printed pieces -Exclusive mini-figs -Premium packaging and instructions -Nice to have: engine light bricks and/or a display stand
  17. I think that after 10 years as an investment it was the best lego had to offer , and to think that it was going to last forever was foolish and greedy... Most of us in the lego game , ( the ones still holding 10179 NISB) knew this was happening with plenty of time , if they still have it , is because they choose to lose on their investment.... I choose to ride this second wave than complain that the first one is over ....
  18. I think this is a deal site more geared toward women/mothers. My wife was familiar with it, even had an account. She says they're legit, but her judgement is forever suspect since she married me.
  19. They have several Elves sets and a couple City sets on sale too. $65 60104 City Airport Passenger Terminal $45 60140 City Police Bulldozer Break-In $15 41077 Aira's Pegasus Sleigh $8 41181 Elves Naida's Gondola & The Goblin Thief $15 41182 Elves The Capture of Sophie Jones $20 41183 Elves The Goblin King's Evil Dragon $25 41184 Elves Aira's Airship & The Amulet Chase $35 41185 Elves Magic Rescue from the Goblin Village
  20. You live in a different world than the rest of us. I'm guessing you've figured out parallel universe travel and go and grab random 4 year old sets to mess with us.
  21. I doubt that I will be stockpiling these anytime soon. If my Death Stars ever decide to move out of the house, maybe we can talk.
  22. I think people are highly overestimating the amount of buyers who are looking to spend $1k+ on a set. Obviously a lot less people will be able to afford scooping up UCS Falcons to resell compared to most other sets, but there will still be enough that this will be no different than any other set where people will be fighting for the slimmest margins possible in no time.
  23. Agreed. I could see going there for their mini-builds. However, the last few have been sub-par at best. My kids could design something more creative than their latest builds. Only other thing might have been exclusive sets. However, last time I asked a LEGO store manager about exclusives, he said they were ending all store-specific exclusives as of this fall. I.E. he specifically mentioned the the new A-wing, exclusive to TRU, will be one of the last ones. Otherwise I'm tired of seeing jacked-uped prices for sets I can get much cheaper at LEGO@home, Target, WM, or Amazon. No point in going...
  24. I love licensed Juniors sets! This is a strong buy for me.
  25. "Show and tell" is now a crime in most states. Oh have times have changed.
  26. $10 OFF YOU YOUR NEXT ONLINE PURCHASE OF $50 OR MORE. I have 7 coupon codes for whoever PMs me first.
  27. Come on man you know how the QFLL rolls... Speaking of I'm more excited to flip R2's thunder stealing droid
  28. How about availability??
  29. Local Craigslist haul. Seller wanted $80 but I talked him down to $60. All sealed and still new.
  30. These should be the polibags to go along with the theme ?
  31. For anyone thinking about quick flipping this set, even beyond the challenge of achieving a price above sales tax, shipping cost, insurance, packing material, giant sturdy shipping box, fees, risk of damage inherent with such a heavy item, etc, please know you will be the target of scammers more than any Lego set ever. Scammers don't waste time on my small sets. They hit buy it now on my biggest sets. They will snap these up at your highest buy it now, and they will do so with highjacked accounts that look legit. You'll think you've scored, and you'll ship it out quick, only to get an automated notice that this was a fraudulent purchase. They might freeze the funds, they might just refunds the buyer, even if you both get your money back, we all pay more in fees and you've just aided a criminal. The money they make off this crime may go to pay the rent or feed their baby, or maybe it goes to drugs, terrorism, and human trafficking. Overdramatic? Maybe. I'll I'm saying is, just wait till I post that I've sourced my copy, then go crazy you QFLL's ?
  32. Because all roads lead to the bubble thread.

  35. I went to TLS Tuesday evening when they got the Ninjago blind bags in. I was told they sold out instantly. Well, I can't visit Mecca and not spend money! This is me showing restraint and just picking up some staples: milk, bread, and eggs. Needing something more exciting, I picked this for a personal build/fig flip for $23.78 at Target.
  36. Are you married ? Divorce lawyer office Are you a CEO ? Office desk Are you poor and single ? Above toilet
  37. 1978 was a banner year for space and castle.
  38. Very nice. I first become a Bronze Power Seller in 1999. Too late.
  39. Something to consider is the Saturn V was a fantastic price at retail. I mean 120 bucks for an almost 2000 piece set. I think this contributes to the paying flipper prices of 200+ on it. THe New UCS MF will have the hefty Disney tax tacked on and will be far less appealing from a part to price ratio. That being said if they knock this one out of the park people will be clamoring for it regardless of price. One thing I have learned is that the public has more disposable income than you would think judging by new iPhone sales every six months.
  40. I love Snow White. I mean, who doesn't?
  41. Dragon from Ninjago Dragon Forge. Nicer than I expected. Some less common blue (not sure which blue is used) parts and several of the shield shaped tiles (in black). Edit* the blue I mentioned is Dark Azure.
  42. here's where the extra money goes (when compares to 10179's MSRP) inflation licensing fee to Disney / LucasFilm. i'm sure it increases regularly. additional bricks, minifigs, stickers, printed elements, etc... projected extra money the Lego suits know they can charge since many SW fans are fanatics. Only problem is ANY $800 MSRP Lego set will sit on retail shelves and warehouses after the initial demand is fulfilled. It's too much money even w/ nice discounts.
  43. $72 Just sitting on a shelf waiting to be purchased. Box is beat to hell but I'll be keeping this to build anyway.
