70902 Catwoman Catcycle Chase x 31 at $5 each (75% off). 70903 The Riddler Riddle Racer x 13 at $13 each (57% off). One of my local Walmart's is going through a remodel. These two sets were already marked down to $10 and $20 respectively, and they had a lot on hand. I know the manager pretty well, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask for a little more off if I took them all. It was the perfect storm of scoring a mega deal. Total purchase came out to 68% off.4 points

I didn't know Taby could speak so positively about a set. I think there's a glitch in the Matrix.3 points

Going to start this one tonight. Seal codes 23R7. It has 2 white boxes inside one with bags 1-4 multiples of each I will inventory them later for reference. Box 2 has bags 5-8 and bags 9-16 were loose in the bottom of the set box. Three instruction manuals sealed in a plastic bag without cardboard, 1 for each floor, I like how they highlighted the floor in color on the corresponding manual. They are similar to ideas manuals and have information on the designers, set, minifigs and history of Ninjago. Two sticker sheets, one unnumbered bag with various larger elements and one 32x32 dark grey base plate.2 points

Emazers is making sure he has at least 20 Beatles Subs, This set to me will always be popular as the years go by. Even though Lego says Sold Out that does not mean they will never get anymore in, we have seen that plenty times before. I figure they will loose the License at the end of the year, but you never no.2 points

LEGO is not learning anything - They just don't get it. How this could be true, I do not know - but it is. By the way, it's likely too late for them to learn, and undo the damage they have done - they have squandered an amazing status that most companies wouldn't even dream of having.2 points

Surprisingly I'm caught up. I'm in the "I'm waiting for these to go on discount like the carnival sets" this time around.2 points

It all started with one of our fish having babies. We separated them in a breeding tank for a couple of days. But that was not enough....my wife and sons teamed up on me and begged for a bigger tank. Next thing I knew...we had decided to not only get a bigger tank, but also decided exactly how we wanted to decorate it. We love our Lego displays, and this was just another creative way to add to the collection. What the hell...right?!! Great build! Very fragile! Great display piece!2 points

a huge mf is welcomed with opened arms just like the 75259 was until it was revealed to be basically a clone of it's predecessor. thus it appears many folks want a 75192 ucs millennium falcon that isn't another 10199 Toy Shop or 10188 DS-like design rehash. let's hope lego learned a lesson with the sets above and will make 75192's overall design somewhat original.1 point

Last Christmas, I had no trouble selling the Snowglobes locally for $30-$40 on kijiji. I'm sure the same would apply this year.1 point

Yeah the free double promo, along with it being $48 took it from available, to C2C, to sold out in a matter of hours today.1 point

@hockeyweasel thanks for the insight I appreciate it. Was looking to get over the $99 hump on S&H to stack the piggy bank and ornament promo's. Sounds like they both have pros and cons. Might just end up going for the AA.1 point

The double freebie is very tempting. I try to hold off on my purchasing until October in anticipation of 2X VIP points plus the first Christmas freebie. Wish I had some idea what that first freebie might be this year. The snowglobe is no GBH, but IMO it's a very nice set.1 point

I would go for slow flip. At this point Dec 1st looks like a good date to try to sell. I am guessing if they have them, they will be gone after black Friday, and then skies the limit. 27R7 for the one I ordered from LEGO Shop at Home a few days ago.1 point

Ares from Woman Woman Warrior Battle. I didn't buy the Marvel set with the large minifigure so this is my first time building one. Nice build. Legs have pretty much the same range of movement as a regular minifigure. The arms are on ball joints so even more range of movement is possible. There are stickers for the toro that I didn't apply. The face is one piece and is printed (only printed piece in the build). Here are some pics showing how the legs, arms and head work.1 point

I have had quite a string of fraudulent purchases lately. Warning signs for brickpickers: 1) item purchased buy-it-now, above market price, no negotiation, immediate payment 2) buyer quickly responds asking you to ship immediately for a birthday or because they'll be out of town 3) address looked slightly odd in paypal, but was verified. 2 of them had extra spaces, or periods in the address line 4) buyers were all low feedback, but this could happen at any feedback level What I did in each situation. 1) Set your shipping policy to give you time to think about it (I pick just under the 'extended handling time' penalty, like 3 days). This allows the REAL buyer time to notice they've been hacked and contact you. Also prevents your seller rating from going down, while you wonder if you're shipping to a scammer vs meeting your 1 or 2 day shipping stats. 2) Ask yourself is this too good to be true? If so, it's probably a fraudulent purchase. 3) Ask the buyer lots of questions. If they're unable to respond after contacting you so quickly, they might be doing this many times to other sellers. Try to discern the scammer from the real mom who needs the present for Timmy by Friday. 4) Once you find out it WAS a fake purchase, Do NOT respond to a paypal request for refund. Do the refund in EBAY first by requesting the user cancel the transaction, ebay then asks you to refund the amount. Do so HERE, not in Paypal. If you refund in Paypal first, then try to cancel in Ebay, Ebay tries to get you to refund AGAIN. This bit me, and I had to call Ebay for resolution.1 point

50% off EU sale doing damage and only the real turds (Axl´s Tower Carrier, Angry Birds Heist, Lego Batman Movie minifigs and Aaron´s Striker) are still standing. A word of warning for Angry Birds investors - people are receiving Q2 2016 seal codes from SAH, which means they still have original run stock!1 point
