I got a comfy queen mattress for 40% off on Prime day. Slept on it last night, and woke up with no back pain. Priceless.....6 points

Tie Striker is definitely done by the usual Black Friday 2xVIP sale/blowout. That set is already fairly scarce in my neck of the woods and has hit the walmart clearance to where it's now absent from most of the shelves. I see the following gone in the Star Wars theme by the black friday event (usually the death knell period for retirees) - Imperial Battle Pack, Kylo Ren's Imperial Shuttle, Rey's Speeder, Tie Striker, First Order Battle Pack, Resistance Trooper Battle Pack, Carbon Freezing Chamber, Battle on Takodana, Encounter on Jakuu, Clone Turbo Tank, Tie Striker, A-wing, Desert Skiff, Landspeeder, Yoda's Starfighter.. These sets I think are "iffy" (could go either way) - Imperial Assault Hovertank, AT-ST, Rebel U-wing, Resistance X-wing Sets that I think might stick around - Krennic's Imperial Shuttle, Millennium Falcon, Poe's X-wing Starfighter, FO Tie Fighter (these sets never seem to be on clearance, and are in the upcoming movie so demand on these could stick around).2 points

Exactly my point. If people can find Brickpicker, they can find a few grainy photos that are being shared all over ...2 points

Well, apparently it was a glitch in the LEGO Shop at Home EU site, because this morning I received an email about my order stating that: The demand for the item(s) listed below has exceeded our expectations and the item(s) are no longer available. We regret to inform you that the order for these item(s) has been cancelled from your order #xxxxxxxxxx Oh well, have to wait till the next nice promo offer then (around Christmas?) and hope the Saturn V will be available in good enough quantities at that time... Patience is key!2 points

I had moderate damage to every big set, except for the Brick bank and the slave. They combined some orders, so the boxes really beat each other down. The ghost buster HQ came in the bubble wrap. I have not opened it.2 points

Well, you could also fill it with kitty litter and use it as a cat WC. It´s a turd of an investment set, literally.1 point

I wondered if I should put this in the Estate Sales thread. HUGE STAR WARS,TOYS,COLLECTIBLES 3 1/2 CAR GARAGE SALE 7/14 TO 7/15!!! (AMHERST-59 BRYNSTONE COURT, Buffalo, NY) https://buffalo.craigslist.org/gms/6211487239.html1 point

That is a truly awful lot of junk. They tease you with the vintage, but they're in horrible bleached sun condition. The Imperial Shuttle looks like the one that blew up on Scarif. The stuff in good condition and/or sealed is POTF2. The non-star wars stuff looks like something I'd see in a $2 box bin. Hard pass1 point

This set will NEVER catch up to Dragon Sanctuary (or Secret Marketplace) in price. Those sets had unexpected short runs. This 41179 has been well below retail for a very long time everywhere. That doesn't mean it won't gain value and make you money in the long run, but don't expect it before Christmas 2018 or 2019 if it retires in 2017. I am actually quite bullish on the Elves sets, so don't despair, just be prepared to wait. I have quite a few generation 1 sets and they are finally doing well after giving me some worry. Who knows for sure about generation 2. For parting out on eBay you would sell the dragon, the figures individually or as a group, and then the entire set as the last piece. To see if it is worth it, plan on the dragon and figures recouping your cost or making a little after shipping and fees. Then you have to see if the set without those parts actually sells or not. It is really hard to make money if you can't sell the set minus the figures. I haven't researched this set, but that is my experience in parting out as a general guideline. My ulterior motive was to get to 100 sales to become a super seller, though that is less valuable lately. That was the only reason I took the time to part out sets, and then I stopped after 100 sales. It doesn't sound like you are really prepared to part out sets. It is a lot of work. It is not a bad thing to try just see how it works. Selling is the hard part, so the sooner you try the better. Good luck.1 point
