  1. We were on vacation in Asheville, NC 2 weeks ago, and during one of the rainy-days, I saw an ad on Craigslist for bulk lego that had some Harry Potter parts sticking out. The lot was split into multiple bags, so I offered $100 to take them all. Before leaving, she had her son run in and get the "ship" that was sitting on his shelf. He came out and plopped a Black Pearl on top of one of the boxes. =) After soaking and cleaning he pieces, the Pearl was mostly complete, only missing 1 sail and 1 mini-fig. I've also inventoried a Clone Turbo Tank, a Hogwarts, Hagrids Hut, LOTR Mines of Moira, and a Hobbit Goblin King Battle. There's more, including some space themed sets that I haven't yet identified, along with some Ninjago dragons. Good pick-up so far.

  2. Having now built this, it's no wonder why Lego haven't released a UCS AT-AT. Despite his being well designed and structurally very stable it was a bit of nightmare putting everything together. I spent almost a day attaching the head onto the body. Biggest build to date coming in at just over 6700 pieces. Hopefully that will be topped by the new Falcon and then my UCS collection is complete with respect of in my opinion all of the iconic ships in Star Wars universe.

  3. Toys R Us gift cards are $40 for $50 value on eBay. No link on my tablet, but the seller is PayPal digital gifts. You can get at least 5, but 8 wouldn't work.

  9. My daughter got 41122 Adventure Camp Tree house for her 8th birthday and enjoyed building it, which a little help from me. Especially cheese-slopes and other small details she finds still tricky. And after building it she also enjoys playing with it.

  13. Nice to see Adam Grabowski a Lego Designer and AFOL from Poland (we used to be members of the same RLUG group before he joined TLG). Maybe that's why it's currently the cheapest offer out there on LEGO Shop at Home (cheapest in Europe) and second cheapest now worldwide (tax incl) Great project even better execution, day 1 purchase for sure, kudos to both designer and the author.

  18. I just had to call SAH customer support for something else. So I asked about 21309 he said they originally had 4,000 back orders in the US and 11,000 in Europe. All US back orders have been filled and most of Europes have been filled. He didn't know when it would be back on US SAH but said August 1 for Europe. Take it with a grain of salt as its "a LEGO employee told me" but that's the first i have heard that they are still filling back orders.

  19. I bought the Silent Mary today from Disney online. Used the 25% off and first time cardholder to get $100 statement credit. Comes out to $85. Either going to hold or build as I've not decided yet.

  22. Interesting page up at The Brick Fan: http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-retiring-soon-direct-to-consumer-sets/ List of D2C to be retired for certain this year: 76052 DC Comics Super Heroes Batman Classic TV Series – Batcave 76042 Marvel Super Heroes The SHIELD Helicarrier 75095 Star Wars TIE Fighter 10232 Creator Palace Cinema 71006 The Simpsons House 71016 The KWIK E-Mart The TIE Fighter is a minor surprise since it skips the 75060 Slave-1 in line. 25. So, I finally decided to crack open the set after being able to find time. However, I had to call in some additional help. "Okay, team. Grab that thing-a-ma-brick and we'll attach it to here..." "Okay, Captain. I'm going to give you this injection for space sickness. So hold still. This won't hurt...much.." "Uh...doctor, are you sure...." "Shhhhh."

  30. The internet is filled with people pretending to have secret information. That list was predicted a year ago. Do you want to know the secret of predicting which sets will retire on time and on schedule? Read our forums...If there is a thread for a set, it will probably retire later than sooner. LOL.

  32. yes obviously they wouldn't give me the straight answer about rumored UCS MF since it's such a important project for entire TLG. But it's a not a concealed information that Saturn V Supply is a joke and now not only LEGO Shop at Home is suffering but entire chain of stores including Leicester which is currently Dry with no extra dates of ressuply, can't speak for other stores but Leicester is facing some supply shortage right now which is unusual. no, sadly they were scheduled only for Saturday from 12 to 4PM, after they finished the Q&A session for LEGO inside the London Bus which was placed next to store they left the store.

  35. only if I'd know they will be there I'd defo prepare a long list of questions related with current present and future projects. We talked a bit about Apollo V, to those who dont know Jamie is not just responsible for Creator and Creator Expert Line but also Ideas, he is in a straight line a Boss of the Mike Psiaki and everything Mike has achieved so far was under strict observation and jurisdiction of Jamie. He did mention about the part when Michael was explaining to Jamie techniques he used to achieve certain aspects of construction which Jamie would never use in first hand. We talked little about Ninjago CIty building and why they left a backdoor by using technic parts to connect modulars together. We talked little about carousel and again Mike's influence and Assembly Square which is like a cheery on the top of the Pie for Jamie. We talked little as well about Lego House and why this place is such a important place and achievement to the Lego Group. He said the new Creator Modular building is in the Pipeline and it was a very important project for him because he wanted to give it a go for very long time but he did't receive positive respond from TLG untill now, so that means one of the Modulars is going EOL very soon. Forgot to ask them about upcomming new big construction from Lego which is coming this December associated with Disney but not really with Star Wars. Jamie was talking in superlatives about mike and how much of the fresh air he brought with himself to the design team and how much they are a inspiration to each other. Great talk, great people, glad to see those Lads again.

  38. 41091 Mia's Roadster My daughter built the first micro build, then set this aside. Doesn't help that there's a castle to put together right now. I'm taking it for myself, lol. I plan on MOC'ing up some parade floats to go in front of the castle and this is perfect for Donald and Daisy to ride in.

  40. *** To qualify, you must be one of the first 80 people to spend $75 on Lego sets but pay only 50% of your total with a credit card, second half must be cash. Then you must go the loose lego section and stack 30 lego heads on top of one another. Lego heads you choose MUST be from the same series (i.e. super heroes, star wars, etc.) After you have your stack of lego heads you must find the nearest Brick Specialist, get on one knee, present the heads to them and ask kindly for access to the Adult Wonder Woman build.
