Lol. So many haters here. "I hope this is like The Tumbler." Lol. I came to this forum over three years ago to collaborate, contribute and hopefully learn how to be a better reseller. Now I just come on here to lurk on the haters and use the Brickfolio which I am sincerely grateful. for. I just don't understand the jealously here and make no mistake, that's all it is. I see the same thing at my job. I work in sales and some of us make $10k a month and others only make $2k and the ones that make $2k a month have the same attitudes that I see from a few on this forum. If you are on a reselling forum and get pissed that you didn't get your Saturn V on June 1st then I don't feel sorry for you because you weren't trying hard enough. There are reselling experts on here. Reach out to them is you're struggling in one area of your reselling business model. It wasn't too long ago that I could only afford only 33 Santas Workshops. Some may say, "ONLY 33 Santa's Workshops??" Well it took me over a year to buy all those sets and I worked very hard to get them. As I worked hard to purchase some sets, it eventually became easier to buy others. Now I am buying hundreds, that's right, hundreds, of one set (It's not Saturn V) that everybody has access to right now. I fully intend to corner the market once this set retires and I don't feel bad about it at all. It's also important to understand that intelligent resellers needs quick flippers in order to compile data on a set. In 2018-19 folks will turn to CamelX3 to see what Saturn V was selling for on the date it was released. If the data shows that it went for 225-$250, which it will, and you can get this set discounted at $99 then that's a good buy and you know it will definitely perform better than The Tumbler. I know some much bigger resellers than me. I was talking to one the other week and they told me they made close to $15k on their Saturn V rockets. You know what I told them, "Congratulations." I also chat with smaller resellers and I say the same thing to them. All of us have one main thing in common, we're successful. You are the company you keep. Congratulations! I am happy for you.8 points

I'm sure there will be some mud slinging my way with what I'm about to say, but I'm going to anyways. I understand that for some of you with Ninjago, it seems you guys tend to avoid it for investing purposes. With that said, for those that are planning on buying it, my goodness, I've seen cheap, and then you guys are taking the cake with this. For some sets like the death star remake, I can completely understand waiting for discounts because even I think it's a rip off for $500. But this set has almost 5000 pieces for only $300. No matter your view on price per piece, but that is such a ridiculously good deal, especially with 16 minifigs....8 points

Haters always gonna hate so just keep on flipping... For a little extra excitement I like to wear this gem on my daily runs. https://www.amazon.com/Mens-Team-QFLL-2XL-Silver/dp/B072WW5215/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=06 points

Don't see this mentioned, and maybe it wasn't a widely distributed email, but in the middle of my normal "Shop Your Way" email spam one today titled "Your Father's Day Mystery Award Card Inside". It actually contained a $5 gift card code. Just wanted to mention that in case someone else got one and ruled it out as junk mail.5 points

Wow, this is fecking awesome. I thought the Temple of Airjitsu looked great, but wow. For all the complaints about Lego designers, they've really stepped up this year with their own movie property sets. The Lego Batman movie had a wide range of great vehicles and this is just fantastic. I've never seen the Ninjago tv series, but now I kinda want to. Lego designers, this is for you4 points

Glitch? Or do you think there's some truth to the retiring soon tag on these sets on the US LEGO Shop at Home? 'Retiring Soon' search on 21 June 2017, US LEGO Shop at Home The Captain Salazar and Black Widow Brickheadz getting it, along with the Scuttler, would make me think that was possibly a mistake.4 points

is this movie going to be about making japanese soups and stews? kitchen tools and bowls are associated with almost every minifig. :S3 points

Yep. My son plays the game (some). I love Dimensions because of the many minifigures that I have in my collection now that never would have been created otherwise. Cybermen (Doctor Who), Mr. T (A-Team), Finn and Marceline (Adventure Time), Gremlins minfigs. Plus some have great mini builds like the Mystery Machine, A-Team van, mini Tardis and Arcade machine from Midway Arcade. We buy multiples of some (if he wants those particular minifigs... otherwise I just give him the game pieces)3 points

The definitely come off, no glue or tricks. Not sure about others, but I have the game for my boys, and the minifigures are in my display case.3 points

I think there's potential for a few like Goonies, ET & Michael Knight. Three factors I believe in: 1) Popularity & Nostalgia. You don't have to be a LEGO fan to think an ET or Gizmo minifigure is awesome. 2) They're unlikely to have a theme of their own. 3) They were not a part of the 99-cent Store flood. I also don't have high expectations though, so you might want to be happy only making a few bucks each or else it might not be worthwhile.3 points

I've never seen a second of footage from the show or had any desire to purchase a single Ninjago set until TOA. The main reason I bought it, was because of the architectural design of it and being such a nice looking set. Same with this set, and the Destiny's Bounty. Both look fantastic and I will buy those sets when I catch up on the backlog of sets I have yet to purchase.3 points

Got this message after I cancelled the tumbler. Score one for the good guys THANK YOU! My account was hacked last night and I'm trying to track down whoever this was asking you send it to them and using my funds. Thanks for not doing it!3 points

This set's so good. My backlog of must-buys is growing even further. I guess I need to sell more stuff to make room and money.2 points

People who bought large quantities when the set was first released did very well. People who are still buying 50 copies of this now... You'd better like the way these boxes look stacked along your walls. The folks willing to pay 2x RRP for this set to have it immediately will, clearly, have already bought it. I'm not sure why people in the UK are even bothering. They are selling for about £150, versus a purchase price of £109.99 (say £104.50 due to VIP points). Once fees, expensive shipping by courier and time are taken into account, those profits suck. People are risking getting stuck with hundreds of pounds locked into these sets all for the sake of £10 profit.2 points

How cyclical life is. Young Ron Howard stars in American Graffiti, which invented Lucas, Lucas invents Han solo, 40 years later, Ron Howard directs young Han Solo. George Lucas creates star wars, , George Lucas destroys star wars, ,,,,,,woman inherits the earth (Kathleen Kennedy)2 points

Dutch RRP for this set was €64,99. And they're still being offered on Marktplaats below RRP (several offers between €55 and €60). WALL-E on the other hand (Dutch RRP of €49,99) is now moving towards €80 cash on average for NISB.2 points

This set transcends the Ninjago theme like the HH transcends the Monster Fighter theme2 points

Wow. Sort of reminds me of Kowloon walled city in Hong Kong. Almost looks like a fantasy version of that. It sort of looks like a mess from a distance, but once you look at the close ups there's just so many clever details and awesome parts. I don't think anyone was expecting this. Performance wise I'm afraid it might end up as an Airjitzu Temple 2.0, given the price point.2 points

As far as I am concerned, it could be called Retardo or Space Turd or Attack on Hoth, I would buy it as long as it matches my taste and makes sense on a standalone basis. I don't get this whole mumbo jumbo regarding the decision to buy this set for personal purposes being based on one being a Ninjago collector or not. I still don't care about regular Ninjago sets, but I will pick this one up.2 points

I think there is some truth... I wouldn't be surpised on the Scuttler, since there is 3 other batmobile/wing sets out there. Im sort of shocked about the Rogue One Imperial Trooper battle pack. But it falls in line with last year and the year before where 2 of the 4 battle packs released in the year were retired within a year.1 point

Damn that looks like a building in San Frantokyo (Big Hero 6). It needs a Baymax to complete the look1 point
