Dimensions fun packs Hermione and Chase McCain are $5.99 on Amazon. Think this is the first time I have seen Hermione go on sale for 50% off. https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Dimensions-City-Fun-Pack/dp/B01N3BAKTX/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1497955372&sr=1-1&keywords=lego+dimensions+fun+pack https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Dimensions-Harry-Potter-Hermione-Pack/dp/B01NB0HKS8/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1497955456&sr=1-1&keywords=hermione+lego+dimensions3 points

This post is directed at small parts sellers, shipping internationally, that like living on the edge. I've come up with a packaging hack to get around the $13.50+ charge for international shipping. Two caveats: -insurance is not offered for this method. -this method is not time tested. I've been shipping small overseas parts orders as "First Class Mail International - Large Envelope" (in PayPal.) The main constraint is the envelope must be less than 3/4". Today I shipped these to Indonesia: I used three pieces of 2-ply cardboard. In one of the pieces, I cut two holes. The pieces with the holes goes in between the other two pieces. The LEGO sits in the nests created by the holes. I taped up the LEGO sandwich. Stuck it in a manila envelope and bathed it in tape. The finished envelope was 1/2" thick and 3oz. Shipping cost to Indonesia was $4.05. I've done this eight times now with no problems. I only ship small parts, torsos, legs, heads, and hands this way. I have avoided sending some more fragile small parts, like helmets using this technique. As has been discussed earlier, sending LEGO in an envelope is not recommended and has it's risks. That said, is anyone else using envelopes for international shipping? I'd be interested in hearing how you do it. Cheers.3 points

I always round up to the next ounce just to be safe. It costs a few extra cents in most cases but can save you a world of potential trouble. I have also found that small post offices examine packages more closely. My local post office is in a very small town and if I take packages there the guy looks at every package and weighs them. I work in a small city and I take my packages to the main branch most of the time which is close to my work. I just put the packages on the counter and no one even looks at me.2 points

You should stack more gently. Get another cart man! Your going to damage the gold!2 points

I got a warning once for being .6 oz over. Basically I said a 10.6 oz package was 10 not 11 oz, since they round up. Others have said that small, rural post offices with nothing to do will weigh your package for accuracy. Others have also said the post office has withheld packages from the recipient until the recipient pays the cost difference. An easy way to piss off a customer.2 points

If you're still wanting to get a bat battle pod the Toys R Us in Olympia still has a ton. I'm sure they all do though and they are 5.99 now that the promotion is over2 points

Yes, as a member of brickpicker for awhile, a lot of my education came from this site. I appreciate your feedback. Here's a link to a google sheet that contains the items, the quantity I have, and the price I'm asking. And while yes, I went deep on monster minis, most of the $10k is not minis. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1V4SUunapn6iJjBsx5g_Kp1JxCoX-d54Z2BzFlFKI0Os/edit?usp=sharing1 point

Kmart closing on Walmart road trip I hit one out-of-the way store closing and found a few gems... Emma's House (sticker 69.99) for $42 and 4 Space Starters (sticker 9.99) for $6 after mystery coupon, GC and points back. The weekend VIP 15% in points didn't show up in my account. - Coupons work if the cashier is willing to swipe them - my cashier had a debate with the front-end manager and told the manager she'd been swiping coupons all day. - pre-loaded coupon applied for $7 off- I assume that this was a 7 off 50 I had loaded, but was totally not expecting since it didn't work at a different store closing last week. - $10 in points on $50 applied1 point

This is one of the old LEGO Star Wars builds where the usage of odd colors (in this case blue) looks stylish in a way. Being a good design to begin with also helps.1 point

This is the biggest problem I have with resellers. Not all of you, but the ones that go out and buy hundreds at a time. I honestly don't have a problem with you guys making money, but on a set like this that I know will be chronically sold out/backordered probably for the entirety of it's shelf life, this is pretty ridiculous. I'm glad I was able to get a hold of mine as soon as it went live because I knew this was going to be a nightmare if I was forced to wait. But it seems that a huge swath of customers will be left out because they don't keep an eye on stock levels every second of the day and some will inevitably be stuck. And seeing a picture of 20+ sets being horded like that is stupid. To tell you all the truth, I hope this is Exo Suit all over again for you guys.1 point
