Another incredible deal folks: Use code 10OFF25 for $10 off a $25 online purchase. May be reusable, but I wouldn't abuse this one. Credit goes to the coupon community for discovering this deal.6 points

We have seen this before with other big sets like the modulars where the limit has been reduced during the summer months. I suspect this is when Lego is either shutting down some production lines for maintenance reduction in staff due to summer holidays pumping out inventory to fill those huge orders retailers have placed for the Christmas rush I think the Ferris wheel have one more year as they just retired Fairground Mixer earlier this year. But if people are buying the Carousel, people maybe picking up the Ferris Wheel, which means more sales and extended life.3 points

Many thanks. I got it to work on an order of two imperial trooper battle packs (75165). Also, was able to use $3 in surprise points. And after applying less than $10 of my own points, my total order for the two sets = $3.21.3 points

I sold the rest of my Dimension packs about two weeks ago. 171 total and they were a combination of Homer, Zane, Wizard of Oz, Gimli, Legolas, Cragger, Gollum, Emmett, and Bad Cop. Selling these packs lately has been super slow and most of these are the bottom of the barrel packs. I was able to sell them all to one guy via CL for $2 a pack. I made $342 total, $155.61 of profit. Glad I was able to get rid of these all at once......and so was my wife.2 points

I'm working on a blog post analyzing the parts. I might have a few suggestions once I've finished. My analysis hasn't gotten super deep yet, but I've figured out color swaps for a few things that knocked off a couple hundred $$2 points

The newest picture was created by CM4Sci precisely to show how easy it was to fake a box image, he never tried to trick anyone and made it clear from the start...1 point

I knew the answer, but I wanted to hear it. I have a Sears with in spitting distance of me, but only 1 out of 25 sets will let me pick up there. So strange. I no longer order single sets, it's pretty much guaranteed to be bagged these days.1 point

AMZ is back to OOS. FBM price is $245 and FBA price is $249. Some acceptable QFLL margin there even with AMZ fees.1 point

I wouldn´t say it was theme specific. There are sets such as 70010 CHI Lion temple from the turdiest theme in recent times that WERE in demand and got to 4 x RRP, but now no one is buying them. There are some forgotten unremade themes like Jack Stone, Prince of Persia, Spongebob etc but most of them didn´t perform well at any time. Minority interest themes such as Bionicle, Hobbit, Monster Fighters, Nexo are also risky investments due to lack of buyers - we can see how even Haunted House plateaued. Those Elves dragons sets may also take a tumble when kids have moved on to the next thing and no longer want to have a full set of baby dragons. Others such as Lone Ranger are now starting to tick up, or maybe it´s just the other themes that aren´t doing as well. This site has a CAGR per theme section where you can see more.1 point

We are forgetting about the possibility of them adding a lot more interior work inside it. The newest picture looks like a really good fake and I have to give whoever made it credit.1 point

I disagree. It's happened to me as a seller before. Inventory mistakes happen. No matter how many times a year I double check my inventory, things still slip through. I've also had sellers cancel for the same reason. They can't magically make it reappear in stock. I don't stop shopping at Walmart just because the stock tracker says it's in stock and I get to the store and there are none to be found. But when I cancel I don't just automatically cancel. I also send an apology to the buyer and let them know what happened. Now THIS is a reason to go negative. I never mark anything shipped until I'm running the print label and slap it on the box process. Like Greg said it's poor customer service.1 point
-
Especially when they mark it as shipped with a tracking number just to meet the shipping timelines THEN cancel it without even a "fake apology." Poor customer service.1 point

personally, i would cancel and use nondeliverable address as the reason. then i would send the buyer a message and tell them you can't complete the sale because of the address discrepancy and ask them if they want to re-do the transaction with the 2 addresses matching. others may disagree - i am very cautious and ok with losing a sale to avoid potentially be scammed where everything doesn't jibe and line up normally (like 99% of the rest of the time) from the get go. there will always be another buyer (hopefully not a scammer). obviously this situation got your defensive instincts going. trust them.1 point

one of my best ebay message exchanges ever. we can't even make this stuff up. total fruitcake. happened 3 months ago. i was the buyer for a diagon alley set. - Sent by me at 7:47pm. "Hi. I just paid and did read your auction summary, A couple of missing pieces is fine. I take it that all minifigures are included? I also assume the lego retail box will mailed inside a shipping box for protection. Please let me know me know before mailing this set. Thanks," - seller's reply 11:34pm - "Dip those on some oil the shlt will get you faint" - my follow-up 12:24am- "What?" - seller's reply 6:07am - "I am so sorry for that message I was under the influence last night and I confused my eBay messages with my text messages. I would like to apologize for saying those words to you" - seller's reply 6:09am - "Yes it's all in the box and it will packaged as well" ha ha1 point
