Got through the first set of bags last night, took about an hour. Also got the town laid out to make room for the carnival. A few buildings will go into storage until I get a larger space but I should have room for all three of the carnival sets & a nice park setting. Carousel should be open for business Memorial day

Had a "new" set arrive yesterday, a couple of days after it was suppose to, wrapped in nothing more than brown paper and selotape. Considering it was bought last Monday, no tracking was sent and it arrived looking like it had been used for a 5 aside game with tape stuck to the outside of the box, I was far from pleased as it was to be a birthday gift. Second set in a week to arrive with this kind of "protective" coating. Instant negative feedback! Email arrived moments ago, main points being: Posted within the 4 business days Always packaged sets in this way Never stated it would be shipped in a box Royal mail were to blame for the damage Brown paper is called "packing paper" (????) At least to me viewing the pics, the HAW, bomber and ISD look sorta "bad" (in the traditional bad, not good way). The ISD looks like the previous one but w/o the T shape tower. Looks like a couple of bags of bricks were missing for the build. The Resistence Bomber (aka B-Wing ish) set looks like it was hit by a bomb and the Freemakers rebuilt it. The HAW (heavy assault walker) looks like a Jerry Bruckheimer Transformer. note: obviously my nearly 8 year old son thinks each set looks "so cool".

Whoa. That AT-AT looks like it has a beard and bell bottoms. I will dub it the AT-AT-1970. Based on those pictures, I think I like the bomber the best.

I'm glad it doesn't appear to be a scam (we have enough of those going these days) but you may feel like sending a message to the seller informing if the delivery hiccup. If nothing else, as was said above they really ought to have just the proper damn box size.

After a call to the local post master, I've managed to locate the 2nd package. Let's go with USPS error for the win. This is why I dislike the rural carrier system. Apparently my carrier scanned both packages when she arrived at my driveway yesterday, but somehow "accidentally left the 2nd box in her vehicle" when she was taking mail and packages up to the house. Hmmm. She will be dropping my package off shortly.

Well damnit. Now I need to go back and arm sweep those Angry Bird motorcycles at $5.

Be happy the guy used 2 boxes instead of cramming into one and the fact they still got it out on time instead of waiting for another box. Easy to judge from the sidelines but as much as you can prepare and plan things always come up. I carry about 30 boxes sizes and it's rare I run out but on occasion it does happen. Sometimes you have to get creative. The seller did nothing wrong. If anything they paid more out of pocket just to get the buyer there packages safely and promptly which is what a good seller will do.

So... he can't decide if he should start a business making decisions for other people. So he asked you, someone of significantly lower intellect (not saying you're dumb, just he's so smart) for advice on making this decision. Which I assume you're doing for free, since you're asking us for free advice to gauge the market for paid advice. If you're charging him for your advice, then you my friend, are the genius. I really am not trying to give you a hard time, just trying to explain why so many people here are poking fun rather than contributing.

Maybe time to knock that 100% down. Then next time, he'll find a large enough box and plan ahead of making an auction and not having the capacity to ship it in.

Seems early to discount these with the next wave of sets still incoming. Lego needs to get off their high horse already and sell us cmf cases direct. I'll consider a case at 20% off but not a bunch of randoms.

I built this with my two 6 year olds. It was going to be one story. Every time we finished a floor, I asked them if they wanted to add another. The patios were their idea. The boy was also insistent on an elevator, which is what that hole on the left is the future site of. I have no idea how I'm going cram some kind of elevator in there. I just posted in a Minecraft thread asking this; but, if anyone has any links to elevator building info, I could use it. This is the first time using hinges to make a house that opens up. The kids love it. When we start building, they want to know what the "special feature" will be. "Okay, okay, you can bring it to the breakfast table."

Tonight I sliced open 75052 Mos Eisley Cantina. Pretty cool set and surprised by its dismal investment performance thus far... What's not to love? Iconic scene setting, 8 minifigs, landspeeder, dewback, and vaporator. I think it's a great set and will go nicely with other Tatooine related sets.

I wonder if this was the ole "find a close by business and send an empty box" trick. Like @newbie77 said, talk to your delivery man/local office and see where the scan came from since you obviously didn't sign for it.

if there are two tracking numbers unless they are for the same item [ most likely not ] unless you see two labels its not possible for them to go around that. having said that if its shows "left with individual" you should talk to your mail-delivery person and ask where is the second box since you only gave me one but both tracking shows delivered. hand-held scanner of USPS employees are GPS enabled and they can find where it was delivered if its not your house. [ apparently, my signature tracking orders [ i am receiving ] don't require signature because device registers my address immediately during scan. [ at least that's what the postal delivery person tells me ]

The new $3.99 price that started a few series ago is ridiculous. $1.99 was an appropriate price when this all started. $2.99 was borderline acceptable.

You should message the seller stating that the parcel arrived with only 3 of the 7 Funko Pops and ask him where the other 4 are? And as Val-E suggested - a quick call to the post office may indeed help shed light on it. If in the end the answer is unsatisfactory, file a SNAD. Even if eBay says "but you got two parcels" you say "but I only got 3 items." You'll win.

Unless you got it for 50% off or more I would just return or exchange it (don't think they will have another in store as it probably was an online return) not worth the headache, time or money IMO. You can build it then sell or if you really want to sell it go with Used no box open bags incomplete.

Saw this MOC somewhere on the web and thought it was great so decided to recreate it...

In January I picked up 6399: Airport Shuttle at an online estate sale. It was mostly complete minus baseplates (ouch!). I finally got it built tonight. It is a huge set and I can't imagine having room to permanently display it. Here are a few pictures. I need to order one more piece, clean it up, and get it sold!
