I didn't get to post yesterday, but I picked up the Snowspeeder and R2 online as an early Father's Day gift and then hit the Lego Store to spend some gift cards. I picked up Slave I (I have decided I will never find a discount) and Yoda here decided that she also wanted a "rocket ship." I love that she is getting into all of this with me!17 points

I was finally in a position where I had money and could make a pilgrimage to the Salt Lake City Lego store to get this bad boy and finally build it. The one thing I want to say that seems a bit odd and bums me out a bit, is the fact that they use two rubber rings to connect the bottom portions of the wings. I wonder if to get the angle they had to go this way, or if there actually could be a way to keep it up without using the rings. Now I know some of you guys have whined about the old snowspeeder, but seriously this thing is beyond beautiful in person. It was a satisfying build and has some serious weight behind it. For those that are on the fence, just fork over the money and buy it!10 points

150 elements and 40 stickers... overly cringed. took me almost 90min to finish this one because of those freaking stickerz. Other than that great little build for fairly good price. Great little details for such scale. (huge F1 fan here)5 points

I've gotten $87 to spend but with that I still can't get my head around buying Silent Mary...3 points

I got mine in a random advertising email. I learned a while ago to skim every SYW and Kmart email they send. Often there are hidden gems randomly placed, but mostly at the bottom of the email.3 points

Truly a throwback Thursday. Found these babies in a random Walgreens. Like it, if you dare.3 points

Best I can do at the moment, but ill take it for a personal build (if it ships). I will say I have seen weird things with Kmart fulfillment the past few months, on a handful of sets. Including what seems to be fulfillment from Barnes and Noble for things "sold by Kmart". so will see where this goes...3 points

#0 is the perfect size for poly bags and most of my orders. On the subject, I finally settled in my favorite mailer: Sunuku Mailers. They are on eBay and have a website. They are the cheapest US mailers I've found. Highly recommended if you've yet to choose a brand.3 points

i would like to first to apologize to everyone on the thread for going MIA today. something urgent and totally unexpected happened early in the morning and in dragged till around 6. A big thank you to @Alpinemaps for running the event on his own, believe me there is a lot of work behind the scenes that goes into this. Congrats to SEAPOTATO for winning and being a regular participant Thank you all for participating3 points

Nope. you should be fine. I've never heard anyone get banned for buying from Bricks and Pieces. I've put in large orders before (~$100), without issue. I *suppose* it might raise an eyebrow if you ordered 200 Wonder Woman torsos. But I doubt it.2 points

Sorting by pieces isn't that bad really. I've done it over the past year or two with the UCS Imperial Shuttle, The Tumbler, and all the Indiana Jones sets. I still have a bunch of others sort through, like UCS AT-ST, UCS R2-D2, Republic Dropship and AT-OT, and several others. You get better at it the more times you have to do it.2 points

Unfortunately this has been the case for a few months now. On a lot of these offers, gift cards aren't counting as 'out of pocket dollars' anymore. What you noticed is standard behavior on most of these offers. There may be exceptions, but in your example this is normal.2 points

@Bold-Arrow is buying the gift cards. Credit to BA, though. He set up everything - the format, the rules, the prizes. I spent the weekend writing questions (way more questions than I needed to!). The requests to delay the start of activities sure helped!2 points
