  2. Pretty happy with my latest trade and purchases. The Detention Block Rescue box is even more impressive alongside these other collectibles.

  3. That tote bag better be big enough to hold the box for the Carousel, or it's a complete fail.

  5. The AT set is #603 in toys and games on Amazon. For comparison, Yellow Submarine is #1830. I'm not saying I love the set for an investment or otherwise. Just saying that whatever we might think of it, people are buying it. If you're the parent of a kid who loves Star Wars, there's a million different toys you could buy them. Parents of kids who love Adventure Time have fewer options, likely making this set attractive.

  10. If they've already paid: 1. Refund PayPal payment. 2. Update shipping cost for the order. 3. Send updated invoice to buyer. If they haven't payed: Send invoice and once (three days?) have elapsed without payment, you can cancel the order without negative impact on you or buyer. I'm fairly new, but I've done both of the two things above recently. I'm sending my second overseas letter rate this week at customers request (call me crazy!) Both were small orders that I was able to reinforce while still keeping them under 3/4" thick. Also, if you ship out letter rate from PayPal, tracking is included. For international shipments, the price difference between package and letter rate have been $10-$12. I'll do it on a case by case basis for international; never for domestic. EDIT: I forgot to mention, I bought minifigures from Legoman1212's store lately. The package couldn't have arrived faster. He wrapped in bubble wrap inside a bubble mailer; top notch. Check him out! Saw the Snowspeeder in the flesh and it was a thing of beauty so it also came home with me!!!! Received two R2 polys and was also given two mini beetles as well so not a bad trip, although quite an expensive one!!!

  16. Just ordered 2x 75153 AT-ST from LEGO Shop at Home using the 40% discount and getting a free R2-D2 polybag promo as well. (Thanks to the higher Dutch RRP at 40% discount one AT-ST is discounted to €33, so two AT-ST make €66 and that's just 1 Euro above the €65 free shipping minimum. grin)

  22. Two annotations reagarding the question of "too many produced" or not: a. Limit for the discounted Submarine in the US website is 2 (two). b. I wouldn't call it surprising that YS is the least favorite Ideas set in a TOY SHOP. I mean, how many 50-year old kids do you know? That's why I don't necessarily see your observations as a proof for the YS being a bad seller and/or having been over-produced (as per @Val-E).

  25. So, now the leaked photos are just about everywhere, it´s fair to say the new Destiny´s Bounty blows the previous versions out of the water in terms of looks. People disappointed by Silent Mary could be interested in picking one up. 70617 also looks quite neat if you are into blue temples.

  26. If you don't enter the blmaster mode and start modifying your BL inventory, there's a risk that BrickSync may wipe out these changes. If the software encounters any API call failure or network error, it will automatically "sync" to make sure the BL inventory is exactly as the software believe it should be (and so, any change is reverted). You may be lucky most of the time, but I don't recommend that.

  28. Letter rate is under 1/4", not 3/4". Anything going letter rate has to go through the standard letter processing equipment, which sqeezes the envelopes quite hard. You also run the risk of postage due being added, which forces the buyer to pay the difference once the package arrives (this may not be the case for international though). Here's a link to the requirements for First-Class international mail: http://pe.usps.com/text/imm/immc2_016.htm I would highly recommend not sending anything through that way unless you're okay eating the shipping cost and item cost. You're still responsible for the package getting damaged in shipping due to poor packaging, even if that's what the customer requested. Large packaged are really only covered by insurance if they meet the minimum packing requirements too, which is at least 1" of padding on all sides, sometimes 2" depending on the carrier.

  29. For personal build, took advantage of TRU sale as well as stacking of Lego £10 gift cards and £10 off £50 spend so ended up with a brick bank for £75 and a Ferris Wheel for £95.

  30. Madoca FJ40 Crawler with a few missing and substituted parts. Those technic # 3 connectors are hard to find. Claas Xerion tires totally kill all suspension travel but give the Jeep a monster truck look. Great build, highly recommended.

  35. How did you find this out? Went to my Sears to look at clothing, but couldn't see any signs. Tried scanning tags with the SYW app, but all it did was show the product from Kohl's third-party listing. Is there a way you can see what you're going to earn so you can pick the best deal?

  41. In addition to Facebook groups and FB Marketplace there's also Craigslist, OfferUp, and LetGo. FB groups are a more targeted, curated audience and has the transparency advantage because most people aren't anonymous. But you're also subject to the group owner's rules and whims. FBM has a less targeted audience but does provide you page views so you can at least get a sense of the traffic. I've found that FBM traffic is comparable to or better than eBay. CL, OU, and LG are a step above the Wild West. In general, buyers on those platforms are less likely to make impulse purchases compared to AZ and EB. They're more likely to be looking for a bargain, so you can expect them to offer 25-50% below your asking price.

  45. I love how new buyers on BL/BO think that USPS/UPS/FedEx ship things out of the goodness of their own hearts and not for profit. I get responses like shipping is 40% of the cost of this $20 set, well new buyer shipping costs aren't based on product cost. Would you have even been allowed to pay the duties (tee-hee) if you had wanted? Dear buyer, just because you don't understand how the world works, it's not @Phil B's fault.
