  2. I'm back from a nice little trip to Venice (Italy) and the Adriatic Sea. I browsed some shops and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this: (I don't know if it's visible, but the brown LEGO shipping box contained a 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon and there's a 10189 Taj Mahal, too.) And that selection was only the tip of the iceberg, they had almost every historic set. It was like a LEGO museum on the seafront of a small beach town. So I maxed out my credit cards and bought them all, right? Wrong! I guess they had all those sets because their prices were straight from Cloud cuckoo land. For example 10181 Eiffel Tower was € 4,990, 10187 VW Beetle was € 2,990 and 76042 Helicarrier was € 550. Insane! So I had to settle for these little souvenirs: (4) 75134 Galactic Empire Battle Packs @ 60 % discount (relatively scarce in Germany) (12) 41171 Emily Jones & the Baby Wind Dragon and (6) 41178 The Dragon Sanctuary @ 20 % discount (very scarce in Germany)
  3. Here's my brick linked set. Seller sent me the wrong round tiles so the only thing that's wrong is the over head lights are yellow instead of clear. Waiting for the correct ones to arrive. Haven't opened my Skiff yet so that's why Han's got the old hair [emoji4] Cute little scene! I love the red flooring in the hallway. May need to expand that. The official one should have really included a Leia.
  4. Managed to snag myself a bargain due to the remake. Also in mint conditions as well as box and instructions in impeccable condition. No yellowing of bricks as well. Will still be getting the remake but may not necessarily be a day 1 purchase now.
  5. This transporter is a nice set. But it can be easily captured by rebels, as happened in my case.
  6. 7778 Mid-sized Millennium Falcon I plan on hanging that in my son's room.
  7. So these are the Saturn V pics everyone has been waiting ALL day for?! Apollo 11 looks a little strange.....
  8. Based on Yellow Submarine and Adventure Time, it will be exclusive to any shop that sells anything.
  9. And let's just say two more sections and you will end up with this.
  10. I'm quite pleased with my unexpected haul. Thought I'd rub it in a little. Quality over quantity. I would've, maybe should've, grabbed more polybags but I wasn't expecting to find two extinct birds. And a great deal on some on the endangered list. All the new stuff was only 10% off and the princess was a whopping 15% over priced, but worth it.
  11. I had a similar experience the last time I was in Europe (I believe it was in Krakow). There was a really small LEGO store around Old Town with a bunch of really old BNIB exclusives at ridiculous prices. It was really nice to see them in shelves though, rather than on eBay lol. Bought Battle on Takodana today with TRU Rewards for my personal collection

I guess the Taj Mahal remake is coming in 2018!!
  13. In 3 years they might re-release the poly with the redhead girl breakdancing or something
  14. Which is why I'm looking forward to the Arrowhead.
  15. Although I don't disagree with your post @jaisonline in terms of the masses, personally I'm drawn to these sets that are little different. I like the prequel trilogy, expanded universe, yoda chronicles, freemakers adventures, etc sets. I'll take that vs. the 6th rehash of a popular O/T vehicle in most instances.
  16. 8x Friends poly from Target for $.39 each. Time to sell them for $4 on eBay and double my money
  17. I like it. And I want it for my collection.
  18. I've seen my future, and it's in hands.
  19. Toy company's move so fast these days

I have a better title for this thread: "Phil B Phil B Phil B Phil B Phil B"
  21. http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/toys-games-lego-minecraft-the-nether-fortress-21122/28740356?ean=0673419233644 May be OoS, but doesn't show on screen. You can PM it
  22. Looks like those exclusives were US imports as the boxes all had part counts on them.

Hmm. You're right. New title works better.

From the article it just said "carousel" not re release, we really don't know what, if anything, is coming here. The argument that Lego can never refresh a set is tiresome, they've done like three Ferris Wheels, each better that its predecessor, at least 3 Maersk ships, don't even get me started on Star Wars or police or fire stations. It's been a decade, it's time for a new one.
  25. Screen scraped is a little worse than rug burn.

Honestly, if you're still holding a 10196 expecting it to continue to rise you may have some issues.
  27. Wow, you went from zero to Star Wars tech geek in less than 12 parsecs.....I Love It!
  28. I ordered myself an original version from the USA. Looking forward to keeping it closed forever
  29. Seems to be going backwards with the design my 2007 one did not require the see through technique parts which spoils the set.
  30. Warcraft - Mana Pool by Paul Trach
  31. here it is. packaging might be little overwhelming.
  32. Okay, I've triple checked the parts list I just created with the instruction manual and the parts list in the instruction manual. I posted the list publicly on Rebrickable here: CELEB2017 - Detention Block Rescue You can go on there and export the list to a Bricklink XML. Open it in a Text Editor, copy and paste it into the Bricklink XML box, and you'll have a complete want list. NOTE: Bricklink doesn't like the Stormtrooper helmets or Luke's had that Rebrickable has in their inventory, that should go for this set. So if you need those, you'll have to manually add them yourself. This should hold us over until Bricklink approves the set, and a couple of us can verify the inventory.
  33. Finally got to finish my Batpod 5004590. Managed to get all new parts, some were spares, others from Lego and bricklink, the dark pearl grey shield pieces from a small stack of breaze flee machines I found in TRU. Thankfully I sold the spare pieces in groups of 6 to help bring down the price of the build. Think it came in around 40ish quid.
  34. I do agree with your point, but as I alluded to the other night in my speculative bubble thread post, I think the days of LEGO as a collectible that significantly increases in value might be over already. Can you post an official source or set list showing a May release?
  35. The occasional double-post is merited.
  36. +1? I leave negative for non-paying buyers though, the ones who just never respond after you invoice.
  37. I think we need a thread dedicated to remake rumors.
  38. Don't get me wrong, I love how the set looks myself and personally enjoy the clone wars much better than the prequel films. I just hope then rumored priced is off...
  39. I'm more excited for the alt listing. Open to everyone ungated in Lego, but more importantly FBA and buy box is active, and that kindly B&E corp is paying for PPC to boost it. SO everyone needs to go leave a positive review for that alt listing and if you do start selling and are not going to use your free $50 PPC trial for anything else then go ahead and use it for that listing.
  40. nice jump out of the gate on amazon - lowest new price $464. doing great if you were up early and got some in December during the $179 TRU online clearance. already beating sydney opera house which had $20 higher MSRP by $14, so net ahead by $34 using MSRP as your benchmark. amazon price appreciation being goosed by unusual low seller count because of a rather arbitrary gate i managed to sneak past a few months ago after trying over and over and over again and getting turned down. tried again in the midst of an especially busy seller period and was approved immediately based upon performance metrics without any documentation etc. that was a great day. same stupid impenetrable seller gate on 75105 Millennium Falcon will keep me from going any deeper on that set despite easily obtainable discounts ( i have 3).
  41. You know your prices are too low when two different sellers on BL, with in 24 hours, contact you requesting a drop shipment. Either I'm doing something really right, or really wrong.
  42. Yeah... And it's a $70 (662 pcs.) set masquerading as a $90 set. Realistically, you're getting this for $20 off, not $40. Terrible price/piece ratios definitely hurt appreciation over MSRP. On the bright side, you're ordering from TRU, so you'll probably receive something else instead.
  43. Hopefully TRU clears out the 75096's with this sale and the price will finally start appreciating! In for 2 in the meantime.
