  10. I'm sure they could have taken out a Star Destroyer or two. They did get a good ion bomb run in one of them. But the cost would have been even greater than what they already lost. This was Rebels' Empire Strikes Back Moment. They were on the defensive of a surprise attack and the best they could hope for was a fighting retreat, like at Hoth. Live to fight another day. I liked that Thrawn was "beaten" by a completely unforeseeable intervention by Bendu. I can picture his report to Tarkin now. Attack executed flawlessly, many rebels killed and military hardware destroyed. Slight losses due to inclement weather. PS, will require copies of all storm related artwork of the last 2000 years."

  11. The Rebels won't ever have a big win in this show. Rogue One's Battle of Scarif was there first victory if ANH's opening crawl never changes or begins to depend "on a matter of view". It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy...."

  13. So tonight I made the plunge and dived into an investment purchase. Most of the sets appear to be complete with mini figs. Last purchase I made from this seller has been 100% complete sets once I took them apart and pieced back together so I am hoping to have the same luck with this set. Tell me your opinions on if I jumped into this too quick... I have a lot disassembling and reassembling to confirm all pieces are here but I am up for the challenge. Stars Wars- 8095- General Grievas Starfighter 7929- Battle of Naboo 7957-Sith Nightspeeder 6957- Ewok Attack 8089- Hoth Wampa Cave 7959- Geonosian Fighter 8128- Cades Bane Speeder 7915- Imperial V Wing Fighter 7931- T6 Jedi Shuttle 8093- Plo Koons Jedi Fighter 7930- Bounty Hunter Assault 7961- Darth Maul Sith Infiltrator 8096-Emperor Palpatines Shuttle 10215- Obi Wan Jedi Fighter 8088- Arc-170 Star Fighter Trains 10219- Maersk 3677- Red Cargo Train City Sets 7937- Train Station 7208- Fire Station (2010 version) 7213- Offroad Fire and Truck 4440- Forest Police Station 4433- Dirt bike Transporter 3648- Police Chase 4430- Fire Transporter Pirates of the Caribbean 4183- The Mill 4184- The Black Pearl 4192- Fountain of Youth 4181- Isla de la Muerta 4195- Queen Anne's Revenge 4194- Whitecap Bay 4193- The London Escape There are some large technic sets mixed in as well as some other miscellaneous sets which I have to sort through still. I am in to this lot for $675 dollars. Think I will make my money back if all the sets are complete/ near complete?

  15. Yeah good point. It's a shame though that those nebulon's were wasted like that. If I'm not mistaken that's like the rebellions second largest vessel right behind the mon calamari cruisers. It was entertaining to see thrawn be caught off guard since he always maps out every situation. I guess the more I think about it the bendu thing wasn't over the top and it was kinda entertaining to see him "check mate" thrawn.

  16. Don't Imps wear body cameras? On an unrelated note, all my son cared about was the Death Troopers when he saw them in the preview. It was hard talking him down all week that no, we wouldn't be seeing Krennic or any of the new Rogue One cast in the finale, though that does seem possible for next season.

  18. If you are going to do wholesale my advice is to contact a company who has a great product but is not on Amazon yet. Ask them to sign an agreement stating you will be the only authorized distributor allowed to sell on Amazon's platform. That way if any non-authorized sellers pop up on Amazon then you can open a case and have them kicked off. In our experience there is alot less risk and alot more money to be made doing RA and OA for products that are gated that you are ungated in with not many sellers and that Amazon does not have access to. If your game is strong you can get those products for well below wholesale price without having to commit to minimum quantities. Any new sellers that come along will be on the the other side of the gate and the few sellers on the listing are very likely to sit back and price match so everyone enjoys great sales without tanking margin. If you see a wholesale product that everyone has access to including new sellers and Amazon then move on unless you are going to create a bundle with other items that are a little harder to source.

  25. The set has been built for a while but we had an acrylic case (no bottom) made for it and the Tower Bridge. I know the plastic is still on... leaving it until it finds a home in our LEGO room. If anyone is curious, it's 1/8" acrylic made locally to my exact measurements. Big Ben's was just $50 and TB was $70 and they made them in three days after I paid. (Canadian funds so around $2 US )

  26. It was easily available for a good discount and is off to a nice start on Amazon. It has the trifecta of Star Wars, Hoth, and a short shelf life so I like it.

  27. costco citi provides you a so so benefit, but if you don't have one, it doesn't hurt to get one and start rolling. However, there are certainly a lot of better cards out there. for example, if you shop at grocery stores a lot, you may want to consider Amex Blue Cash Everyday as it can give you 3% back for your grocery shopping for the first $6k in one calendar year. You may also want to take a look at Chase Freedom card as it will offer you 5% cashback if you signup for its promotional category each quarter. Discover It is also a good card to own but I am not sure if it is supported by Samsung pay. Of course, there are even better choices if you are willing to pay the membership fee. Pretty much all the cards I mentioned above have the annual fee versions but once again, to get which one is totally based on your own spending habits.

  31. Perhaps the showrunners meant to show that the presence of a Star Destroyer was intimidating at this point, let alone 5 of them. The rebels were caught off guard, were trapped, and were probably not used to fighting 5 SD at once.

  33. If all sets are complete with figs then you should make some decent money on that lot. I'd sell the large sets separately and the smaller less desirable sets in lots to move through them faster. Have fun, and good luck!

  34. http://www.ukbudget.com/2016-measures/new-trading-and-property-income-allowances-aimed-at--micro-entrepreneurs-.aspx In case it's under anyone's radar the above was first mentioned in the spring budget and again in the autumn budget. There's little detailed info out there to date I can find which isn't a million miles from the link and not being a financial advisor its best if you have a read yourself and make your own mind up. One thing I can advise on is it's no good to for the big players.

  35. I for one will withhold my judgement until I see the calendar and all 24 builds. I thought last year's calendar was a bit poor before my son started opening it (come on, a white Chewbacca?). But the mini-builds really were quite cool and I think it was a great calendar. The picture above shows 10 out of the 24 minibuilds, so still 14 that could be totally awesome. Just because a few minifigs are not very impressive does not necessarily make it a bad calendar.

  36. Went to see Belle and the Beast yesterday ... was a bit apprehensive over Fandango's $6 "convenience fee" but this message this morning made those feelings disappear Paid with a Regal GC . Still have no clue how I got 40% back in points (Fandango is normally 2%, and I thought there was a 15% additional points bonus, but maybe it was $15 + 2% ....).

  37. On a semi related note I think it's important to understand the types of goods you are aiming to supply. Type 1 : Exclusive brand access, unlimited stock - insanely valuable (rare) Type 2 : Only source of a listing but not necessarily exclusive - insanely valuable (short term) Type 3 : Distributor stock - hot items, clearance items, replenishables - offers consistent okay returns, time consuming, competitive Type 4 : Rare hard to find items - great profit to time ratio, limited stock, high risk, exclusive access? Type 5 : Flippers - low barrier to entry, highly volatile, short term gain, time consuming to track trends. I personally view items I sell in these buckets. I currently use type 2/3/4 and very rarely 5. I spend most of my time working towards finding type 1/2 connections. I have a couple of type 2 sources setup and I can't stress how much easier life is. You place a huge order, label it, pack it, send it and forget. No deal hunting, no price wars, no store hunting. I'm not going to quit my day job anytime soon but with enough of those connections, or the right one, you have yourself a long term repeatable lucrative future.

  41. They did not take out a ship, only a generator that blocked hyperspace jumping. The ship was actually intact in the background as Ezra was clutching to his own ship. I did not realize how much bigger Maul's old ship compared to regular Mandalorian fighters. It was basically a transport big enough to have to hold 10-20 troops I thought the Bendu thing was fair. He wanted Kanan & the base off his planet the first time we saw him, now he just wanted everyone off his planet. I was afraid they would make him to be all powerful being that could wipe out everyone on the planet. Getting him shot down by a couple of AT-ATs made him look a bit vulnerable. I liked how the Mandalorian did not / could not send the cavalry to help, just enough ships and troops. A fleet of Mandalorians to save the day would have been too corny and unbelievable given their state in the previous episodes.

  42. Every time I see a nice looking bulk lot and buy it, the fun starts to wear off about 30 minutes after I get home. Within a week, I'm trying to figure out ways to quickly pass it on to someone else. To me, there isn't much worse than having to bricklink 40-50 pieces to complete sets that sell for $30-40 used. By the time the entire process is done, I figure my hourly salary is about $2/hour.

  43. I swear if any more resellers contact me about my CL listings and then try to explain to me why I'm doing things wrong and why I should sell them stuff for nothing, I'm going to agree to the price and I'm going to instruct them to meet at a parking lot at some shopping center out in the boonies. Then about 15 minutes after the meeting time I'll email them and say I got held up and I'll be there in like 20 minutes and then block their email.

  44. My son was sick today (though not too badly) so in between work calls we built the Imperial Assault Hovertank 75152 together. He has a few Lego sets that he got as presents that he has been waiting to build with no sisterly help, so today was a perfect day for it in his mind. Not a great set from my point of view, but nice playability for him and decent minifigs.

  47. mine wasn't buying too much of any one item, but spending too much money at LEGO Shop at Home in a short amount of time. it took weeks to actually speak to someone in the right department. he was nice but suspicious. knew way too much about me and my past career. i was a technology services "reseller" and they see that word and think instantly you're reselling legos, it turns out. we even talked about the fine line between collector and investor...from what he told me, they are still trying to define the difference. he didn't really like the idea of a customer purchasing a set for it to later increase in value and keep in the box, regardless of your intent to sell. it seemed to be the general consensus of the group who handles these bans, since he kept saying "we think". in the end, i don't have an ebay or amazon store, and i provided good reasons why i had bought such a vast variety of sets. i never reached the order limit for an individual set on all orders combined, and i challenged him with that fact (in other word i only ever bought 3 HH over 3 orders from LEGO Shop at Home, same with GE, order limit on each is 5). he said he would get back to me, but he felt like they needed to take a closer look before dropping the hammer. a week later, after not hearing from them, i placed another innocent order for a new set. it shipped. a week later, my 2 backordered SSDs shipped (ordered before the order that prompted their special team to investigate), then my Triple E which was my first ever order on LEGO Shop at Home and was on BO for like 50 days. at this point i figured i was out of the woods, but i only purchase 1 or 2 of the new sets when they come out now and I'm done at LEGO Shop at Home. Exception is my visits to B&M...that's when I pick up an extra here and there.
